The Grant Family: A Twisted Tale of Betrayal and Secrets
The drama, the suspense, the spice! It's all here in the story of the Grant family, where a powerful father becomes his own family's worst enemy. This is a man who built his empire from the ground up and will destroy anything and anyone that threatens his business or reputation—even his own family.
* Mia: The eldest and seemingly her father's favorite. Mia, a hospital worker, turns a blind eye to her father's ruthless dealings. He demands she quit her job and work full-time for the family pharmaceutical company, but Mia craves a life outside the family business, a life that includes her boyfriend, Jarel. However, her father threatens to cut her off if she disobeys, and a shocking revelation about Jarel throws her world into chaos.
* Hazel: The rebellious middle child and an artist. Hazel despises her father, convinced he's responsible for her mother's accident. Cut off and desperate for money, she hatches a plan with Mia to steal drugs from their father's company and sell them. But the plan goes terribly wrong when her boyfriend gets caught in the crossfire, and a mysterious figure appears, blackmailing Hazel and threatening to expose the Grant family's darkest secrets.
* Teyana: The youngest, yearning for her father's love and attention. Ignored and neglected, Teyana goes to extreme lengths to earn his affection, but her world is shattered when she becomes the target of sinister threats and finds disturbing messages left on her car.
* Kimberly: The mother, silenced for years by a tragic accident. Trapped in a loveless marriage, Kimberly desperately seeks a way out. But escape is no easy feat, especially when her past resurfaces in the form of a familiar face. Now, she must find the strength to protect her daughters, even if it means revealing her own deeply buried secret.
"Jack Girlz Atlanta" is a drama-filled book, a tangled web of secrets, lies, and hidden motives. Each chapter unravels with shocking twists and turns, leaving you breathless until the very end.

My Thoughts:
While I was captivated by the plot, I agree that more date stamps would have been helpful to establish a clearer timeline. It was also a bit disorienting when the focus shifted between the sisters. Maintaining a consistent structure, perhaps dedicating each chapter to one sister's perspective, could have created a stronger emotional connection and allowed for deeper exploration of their individual struggles.
ALso While the story itself is gripping, I'm left wondering about the title "Jack Girlz Atlanta." It's unclear how it connects to the Grant family and their struggles.

The Grant Sisters—Mia, Hazel, and Teyona—are introduced as children overhearing an intense argument between their parents, Matthew and Kimberly. That moment becomes the catalyst for events that will shape their lives in profound ways, revealing how the past can leave a lasting mark on a family. As they grow, the sisters each take their own path, navigating a complicated web of secrets, betrayal, and loyalty.

As someone who doesn’t have sisters, I was drawn to the way this story highlights the complexities of sisterhood. It beautifully captures how three women, raised by the same parents, can turn out so different yet remain deeply connected. Mia, Hazel, and Teyona are relatable in their struggles and triumphs, and their bond is both messy and unbreakable.

Matthew’s manipulation and blatant favoritism create tension that spills over into every part of the family dynamic. His actions spark some of the most shocking moments, and the way his secrets unfold kept me guessing. Every chapter offers new twists, and just when I thought I had it figured out, the story threw me in a completely different direction.

This is a bold, gripping tale of family drama, resilience, and the fight for what you deserve. It’s packed with suspense and heart, leaving you eager to uncover every hidden truth.

Have you ever read a book that made you genuinely feel like you were watching a movie? This book was THAT. It started off slow, but I feel as though this helped me really get to know the characters before the actions popped off. This story followed the Grant family, and they are very well known. All I have to say is never underestimate what a family is willing to do to hide their secrets and keep their reputation!

Mia, Hazel, and Teyona are three sisters trying to figure out how to navigate the rights and wrongs in their family while trying to maintain their own lives and relationships. I will say that I loved this book. It had a great plot and the story really sucks you in. This had the right amount of mystery and thrill to keep you hooked and wanting more. In the end I still needed some questions answered but I'll use my imagination lol.

I have read quite a few books from this author and this one is my least favorite. I felt the story line was good but I felt like it took a long time to get to what was going on and then when we got it, it wasn’t enough. If that makes sense. I felt that in earlier in the story we should’ve known that Eve was a customer and that Karter sold to her and not Hazel. I felt that it should have been more given to the story on Jarel and why he was doing what he was doing. I liked the suspense but I felt like once we got the info it was quick and that’s it. Maybe we could have gotten his point of view? I don’t know. I wish it was more to his story as well as the sisters. I felt like a lot of the story was left unfinished.

I really liked this book! I love BriAnn and I was excited to read a suspense novel written by her. I liked the story. I liked the writing and how it felt like peeling a layer off the more I kept reading. The sisters were good characters. I loved the sisterhood between Mia, Hazel and Teyona. While I know Matthew was the real villain , I didn’t felt bad for Kimberly though. I didn’t like that Hazel didn’t feel bad about the whole Evelyn thing and also I disliked that Jared was pictured as a villain when his motive was absolutely noble at the end of the day.
While I liked the pace of the story, I still felt like the beginning was really slow. There was still some loopholes in the story. The things didn’t get an explanation. We never really knew how Jared and the Mistress got to know each other. The way Ricky and Sharon just moved on from their revenge after Jarel’s death was too easy. Jared wanted to get at Matthew when Hazel was the one selling drugs didn’t really make sense to me.
On an other note, I loved Deshaun and Teyona, they were so cute.
Overall it was a good real but I needed a bit more suspense and angst.

ARC Review
Thank you NetGalley and Black Odyssey for the advance copy.

We are first introduced to the Grant Sisters: Mia, Hazel, Teyona, when they are kids listening to an argument between their parents Matthew and Kimberly. The events that happen that night have profound consequences for the girls and their parents, leaving the reader eager to continue to turn the page.

This is a story of sisterhood with a splash of f**k around and find out!! The Grant sisters went after everything they were owed and some. This was full of blurred lines, suspense, family secrets, betrayal, and a sprinkle of spice. I enjoyed reading this so much it put me in the mind of shows like Queen Sugar and Greenleaf. Fast-Paced, bold, and intriguing.

I really enjoyed the suspense of this novel, and the different twist and turns this story took me on. I will say Matthew Grant has enough secrets for his own book. He got exactly what he deserved! I also was a fan of how the story was narrated, and there was really secrets in every chapter keeping you going. As soon as you thought you figured it out, the author surprised you! Again!

If you are fan of family dramas with a mix of suspense definitely check this one out.

Jack Girlz Atlanta is my first book from this author, and I was beyond excited to read it. It did not disappoint! Hazel, Teyona and Mia are the true definition of sisters and know the true meaning of loyalty when it comes to each other. I enjoyed all 3 of the sisters but I felt my heartstrings pulling for Teyona a little more out of the 3 of them. I wish the author would have given us a little more background regarding them and their parents, but I will say that Matthew is one of a kind in the worst of ways. There was no love in my heart for that man and I don't want to say why because I really don't want to give anything away. I will say that I think that any reader that decides to read this story will not be surprised by how much they enjoy it. This story gave me everything that had me hooked from beginning to end and it left me looking forward to reading more books from this author. It's a story I will be recommending to book loving friends that enjoy some drama, deceit. schemes, secrets, a bit of mystery and more.

I had high hopes for this book but it was just okay for me. It started off seeming really good. But I was underwhelmed by the ending an all the characters holding on to secrets the entire book

The girls past is coming back to smack them in the face. Hazel, Teyona, and Mia are now up against those who want to get back at Matthew Grant, their father. Not only did he ruin their lives so many years ago, but now they are paying for the sins of their father. All the secrets are now coming to light and the girls need each other more than ever to face the danger. I enjoyed this read!! #JackGirlzAtlanta #NetGalley

Really enjoy thfamily dynamic in this book.

This story follows sisters who although they grew up in the same household they have very different experiences and memories from their childhood.

What started off as just trying to get some quick money turned into them uncovering so many family secrets.

I loved the dynamic between these sisters and how they became JACK GIRLZ!

I enjoyed this read full of drama with twists and turns. I knew from the beginning the father wasn’t hitting on a thing. This storyline had me stuck and left me satisfied. The buildup of the plot kept me engaged throughout the book. I look forward to reading more from BriAnn.

“Pharma, Drama, and Sweet Revenge”

This light revenge thriller had it all—fast-paced action, lies as flaky as a croissant, and just enough spice to keep things interesting. A binge-worthy ride with scandal, revenge, and a touch of romance? Sign me up for anything BriAnn writes!

With its pulse-pounding pace and themes of family, loyalty, and the blurred lines between right and wrong, Jack Girlz Atlanta is the perfect next read for fans of these dark and twisted tales.

I enjoyed the roller coaster that this was. it felt like I was solving the case through out the whole book, come to find out it's 2 unrelated cases. Could it have hit just as hard just with the fathers thing, yes. I do feel like Jarel's issue wasn't truly needed. I also feel like the mom had a secret but the book made it seem like there was so much more. I would like a book that focuses on Teyona and Deshaun now.

Overall, I did enjoy the book. I'm so used to BriAnn's love stories where the perfect man exists but this was a nice change.

Jack Girlz is a gripping women’s crime thriller that dives headfirst into the complexities of loyalty, revenge, and the dangerous pursuit of justice on your own terms. The story of Mia, Hazel, and Teyona takes readers on a wild ride through the world of corporate scamming, where the stakes are high, the consequences are deadly, and sisterhood is both a bond and a battleground.

The three sisters are compelling, layered characters. Their shared trauma fuels their vengeance, but as the money rolls in and plans start to unravel, cracks form in their relationship. Danae masterfully builds tension, capturing how ambition and greed can pull even the closest bonds apart.

The pacing is relentless, keeping you on edge as the sisters’ meticulously crafted world begins to crumble after a single, fateful mistake—a dead body with no clear scapegoat. The moral dilemmas hit hard: Who will take the fall? How far would you go to protect family?

This book thrives on its mix of fast-paced action, emotional depth, and nail-biting suspense. The lavish lifestyles and high-stakes schemes are enticing, but the darker themes—betrayal, guilt, and sacrifice—add a richness that lingers after the final page.

Mia, Hazel and Teyona showed a true definition of sisterly love. Right, wrong or indifferent the sisters were all in. Their parents Matthew and Kimberly had decades of hidden secrets that neither of them saw resurfacing. No one could have prepared them for the twist and turns life was about to take for the entire family. I don’t care how fast you run you can never out run KARMA!!!! I’ve read several books from BriAnn Danae and I’m really loving this thriller/mystery genre. From the beginning to the very last page secrets, drama and disloyalty will be revealed .

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!!

I don’t even know where to start with this review. Whew, with a father like Matthew who needs enemies?? Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!!

Let me start by saying the build up for this was intense and the author did a great job at hooking me in. As the reader, i do think i would have benefited from more of the parents story line and the things they went through before the kids. BriAnn could have given us 100 more pages on them alone.

Talk about a scheme set up by Todd…this book gives sisterhood a new meaning and i felt like i was on the wild ride right along with the Grants.

There is nothing like a good book with lies, drama, deceit, and non-stop action. Books like this grab me from the beginning and I'm usually looking forward to the ride. BriAnn Danae has done it again!!
