An entertaining techno-thriller involving a serial killer who is also setting up a major tragic event in Alaska. While this is the third book and the finale for the series the author did a good job of conveying enough of each characters back story that I didn't feel like I was missing necessary information. While this book was entertaining in the moment it really felt like the main characters were just following along and not really contributing to the resolution of the threat(s). The technical details felt realistic but many of the encounters (and actions during those encounters) felt forced <spoiler>(like the encounter between Tracie and Griz in the coffee shop where she does nothing at all to stop him)</spoiler> which did require a little more suspension of disbelief than I would have liked.

For readers who love fast-paced thrillers with heart, 70 North is the perfect mix of action, faith, and justice. For fans of cybercrime thrillers and anyone who enjoys a high-stakes battle between good and evil. Woodhouse has crafted a finale that is both exhilarating and satisfying.

Not having read the other books in this series I have to say I came into this book with a bit of a disadvantage. Tracie and Mac were interesting characters and each had a clear backstory, but for me the bad guys was kinda of an anonymous, generic bad guy. I can't say I thought this one was particularly special.
