Come for the engagingly quirky characters and lovely streets of NYC, but stay for the descriptions of the "delicious" FOOD! It's obvious that the author is a foodie, including the former editor in chief at Gourmet magazine, as she has a wonderful way to let the reader savor the various foods in the book.

Loved this book. But then what's not to like when love and baking combine in an excellent story well told. A highly enjoyable read
