In Real Life by Lawrence Tabak is a captivating novel that explores the intersection of virtual reality and real life. The story follows a young protagonist, a teen named Greg, who becomes immersed in a popular online game where he navigates complex relationships and challenges. As Greg’s experiences in the virtual world begin to bleed into his real life, the novel raises important questions about identity, friendship, and the blurred lines between the digital and physical worlds. Tabak’s writing is engaging and thought-provoking, making In Real Life a timely read for those interested in the impact of technology on human connection and self-discovery.

So this was interesting. For once there was a male protagonist in a YA book, I mean that is majorly rare!
The story was good; it was unique and the concept was fresh. The writing was overall good, but it did feel flat in some places. The characterization was not as strong as I'd expected. But still, it was an okay read.

Already reviewed and feedback sent. Not sure why these are duplicating. But please find review content at my archived blog www.behindonbooks.wordpress.com

- Thanks! Sorry this is a little haphazard.

I'm not sure what happened to my review for this title. I did read about 40% of this book, but DNFed it because it was too slow and taking too long for the characters to get to Korea.
