This had so much potential for me, I can’t really pinpoint why I didn’t love it. The plot was great but there were so many info dumps between dialogue and plot points. It just really bored me to tears at times.

This was a strong start to the Saga of Blood and Oil series, it had that element that I was looking for. I was engaged with the world that was happening and enjoyed the overall story going through this. The characters were everything that I was hoping for and enjoyed going through this story with them. D.W. Layton has a strong writing style and can’t wait for more.
