I'm reviewing this via NetGalley, as part of a tour with Rachel's Random Resources.
This is a gripping psychological thriller. At the start, we meet Naomi, who is hoping to sell her flat and move into a new house with her husband and two children. Naomi meets a woman named Summer, who is interested in her flat. Shortly after the two meet, Naomi finds that Summer's behaviour makes her feel uneasy.
At the beginning, I found that I was interested in the characters, and they felt relatable, as though they could easily have been friends of mine, or people that I knew. I felt a connection with Naomi as she narrated, and identified with her in some ways.
A few chapters in, I found there was a feeling of uncertainty that had me turning the pages quickly. I felt the author did a great job of building suspense, and I found that as the book progressed, the story became more unpredictable and played with my head. I wasn't sure what to think, or who to trust, and I needed to know what happened next. If you enjoy thrillers, this is a nail-biting read.
Thank you to NetGalley, Rachel's Random Resources, Boldwood Books, and to the author, for the opportunity to read and review this.

"She was my inspiration and I was ready to be her muse. I repainted the doll’s house to match her house and imagined the dolls inside as the two of us, the best of friends. Sisters, even. But she didn’t want me either."
"Who needed a doll’s house when I could have the real thing?"
Someone is getting way too involved in Naomi's life and it's pretty creepy.
This mysterious woman named Summer purchased their flat and from there, she started to worm her way into Naomi's life. From purchasing their flat, copying her hairstyle and the way she dresses, inviting all Naomi's friends for cosy drinks and parties without her and using her daughter Luna to spread malicious lies about Naomi's daughter Freya. Ever since Summer and Luna arrived, things had been going wrong for her family.
She needs to stop the lying, manipulative fraud from further ruining her life before it's too late.
This one is a good, crazy and gripping mystery/thriller. You can feel the exasperation and tension oozing from the pages and I hated Summer's gall for sure throughout the story.
Thanks to Boldwood books for the arc 🖤

This was quite a wild book! I enjoyed that it was an easy read, and the initial premise really intrigued me. However, I must say that the pacing was a bit off. It started off fast, really slowed down in the middle, and then was a bit of an info dump at the end. I wish that the middle would have had a bit more forward movement. Also, I found every character except the MCs father to be despicable, especially her "friends".
With that said, it was still an enjoyable psychological thriller with a fun twist at the end. Would recommend to fans of unreliable narrators, suburban family dynamics, and some wildly unlikeable characters.

Thanks to Netgalley, publishers and author for an ARC of The Doll's House.
Relatively slow start with and anxiety ridden main character meant I wasn't sure about this book. However it really picked up, to the point I couldn't put it down.
4.5 stars.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I was expecting a fun, okay, in-between type read, and I ended up completely invested and glued to the pages until the very end and loving every word of it. This book has "Single White Female" vibes and really digs its claws into you. I really despised the character Summer with her gaslighting and devious behavior. Needless to say, this was written brilliantly, really sucking the reader right into the story with them. There were a lot of emotions running through me while reading this, especially annoyance, anger, and then empathy for the children involved. The only complaint is that the conclusion seemed a bit rushed. Any fan of psychological thrillers will love this, and I give it four stars.
Thank you, Netgalley and Boldwood Books, for this ARC.

Another 5-star masterpiece from Natasha Boydell! She has officially become one of the authors that I'll grab her new release without even knowing what it's about. Loved this book, every second was twisted and consuming!!

The Doll's House is my second book by this author.
The story was immediately engaging and I definitely wanted to keep reading to see what was going to unfold.
The story did drag a bit in the middle and then the pace picked up very quickly. It seemed the resolution came too swiftly for me. There were twists that I did not see coming.
Overall, this is a quick, interesting thriller and I would definitely read other things by this author.
3.5 stars.

Kept me hooked until the bitter end!!
Naomi loves the flat she lives in with her family, but knows that the time has come to move into something bigger: a house, their forever home. When the flat sale falls through, she despairs of losing the house which is not too far away and is just perfect for them, so makes every effort to sell it quickly and, as luck has it, she finds a buyer who can fit in with their schedule. Huge relief. Only, once settled in it seems that the new owner is trying to copy everything Naomi does and, understandably, it begins to freak her out. But no-one else can see how Naomi is being replaced in friendship groups and so much more is going on . . .
Whenever I saw that this was written by Natasha Boydell, I couldn't wait to read it. An author who never disappoints, whose books are always different and creepily thrilling and this one fit that bill! I found myself reading in bed convincing myself that after just another few pages I would be able to put it down. A cracking read and one I'm both happy to recommend and give all five sparkling stars!
My thanks to the author for my copy via NetGally; this is - as always - my honest, original and unbiased review.

She lives in my old home, she looks like me, she dresses like me… And now she wants my life
Naomi meets Summer after she has bought her flat and since then everything goes wrong and she starts to seem crazy to all her Friends and family, but she knows Summer is behind everything but how can she prove it.
This was fast paced and the twist and turns that happen I did not see coming. I actually hope there is second book from this as I would read it in a heartbeat.
4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for this Ebook ARC in return for an honest review.

This book was giving single white female vibes I really enjoyed it with the twist at the end although I wish I could have read on

This was a very intriguing and chilling read, kept me on the edge of my seat all the way up,
This was a crazy ride of a thriller.

Another “armchair thriller” from Boydell where we see two mothers at war. Whilst I enjoyed the cat and mouse tale, I did find the ending to be too rushed with answers and some of the plot a bit far-fetched. This was a bit of a shame for me as some of this writer’s books have been really good, others not so.
I really sympathised with Naomi as it feels like she is losing her mind. New comer Summer, has been Naomi’s saviour by coming up with an offer at the last minute, buying Naomi’s family flat so they can move into their dream home once and for all. However, as soon as Summer is in Naomi’s life, things do not go well. From suspected break-ins to the playground becoming the battle zone, Naomi is convinced there is more to Summer. However, no one around Naomi believes her, even Naomi’s husband is sceptical, and the other mums at school just see the best in Summer.
It is like Summer is gaslighting Naomi and I felt incredibly sorry for her, especially when Naomi’s daughters also become drawn into the battle between the two women. On the one hand, I could see how Summer is being victimised by popular Naomi; on the other hand, it was evident that Summer was manipulating every situation to make sure Naomi looked as worse off as possible. It was a living nightmare.
Yet, I felt like the writer rushed into the revelations at the end of the book. Whilst the story had been quite pacy up until this point, suddenly all of the answers came out at once, neatly pulling the narrative together. In my opinion, this lessened the intensity of the truths and I felt it was a too convenient way to finish the story. Furthermore, elements of the plot felt a bit far-fetched, such as how familiar the headteacher was with Naomi, and the manner in which Summer has arrived in the neighbourhood.
The Epilogue reminded me very much of Boydell’s other books: it is like this writer has found their formula for success and wants to stick with it. Personally, I would have preferred Boydell to mix it up a bit more and be less repetitive. I think this would also work with having a slower reveal within the story, making it more suspenseful.
Overall, I quite enjoyed this quick read and was curious to see how Naomi would get back into the playground circle of parents that she loves. When her daughter, Freya, also gets dragged into the conflict, you can’t help but sympathise with the little girl, so I was keen to see some comeuppance by the end of the tale.
With thanks to Boldwood books and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Naomi and her husband have been saving for their forever home and when the sale of their flat fall through she is devastated, and for a fleeting moment her dream home is falling from her grasp that is until single mother Summer puts in her offer and saves the day. Or did she? Naomi sees Summer in a different light after she enrols her daughter into the local school, notices that Summer is starting to cut her hair and dress like her, then becomes best friends with hers. Naomi isn't imagining it all but she cant convince her friends who only see what Summer is doing as nothing other than simply trying to fit in.
Summer was likeable at the start but then she started to give me the creeps, and I totally felt for Naomi who felt like she was going mad and not having anyone believe her, we as a reader could see what as going on and I shared Naomi's frustrations to no end.
The twists and turn of events had me totally engrossed and I couldn't put this book down

wow this was very good, this kept me engaged from beginning to the end. Naomi is a mother of 2 girls and she has just found out the buyer for her house has fallen through, but that another buyers offer was accepted, summer calwell . when summer start to act like Naomi things get creepy. this story was just very immersive. really enjoyed this

This book will mess up your mind, ok? Be forewarned.
This is some next-level creepy stalker read! It is cute at first, and then it grows to be filled with palpable dread.

This book gripped me right away and there were so many moments that had me shocked, creeped out and immersed in the danger.

Wow! What an absolute ride. I went into this book not digesting much of the synopsis or what it's about. Surprisingly, this was such an easy read with no dead air between chapters. You'll find yourself wanting more at the end of each. Definitely recommended as this put me out of a reading slump!
Thank you to Author Natasha Boydell, Boldwood Books Ltd, and NetGalley for the ARC.
