This was a cute book! The fact that Sloane was left at the alter is absolutely awful but one good things came out of it...Wilder. What happens when you fall for your bosses son?

Vi Keeland is definitely one of my one-click, sign up fast for an ARC review author I've had the pleasure of meeting in person. Jilted is another book that ranks right at the top of my Vi favorite reads.
I loved the characters of Sloan and Wilder. This slow burn romance was one I could not put down.
These two were made for each other despite their differences.

Snappy dialogue, family and love…
What more could I have asked for? At the end, I couldn’t choose between Sloane and Wilder as my favourite character as both shined.
Obsessed with weddings since she was a child, Sloane suddenly found herself in a career that no longer had the same appeal. Being a bride, having a big day was no longer as much fun as she thought it would be and Wilder somehow arranged for them to be at eleven more. Eleven! For someone who had no interest in forever after, he sure had a funny way of showing it… But then, their meeting was going to shake them both to the core…
The spark between them was instant and one wedding after another meant they would have time to connect, and connect again, as she resisted and he tried to change her mind. Their interactions were full of laughter and heat, and each one upped the ante even more. With emotional depth underscoring the connection between them, this was a long game, and unraveling the past was going to make their future bright indeed…
Loved it!

This was my first Vi Keeland romance and I absolutely loved it! Jilted was the perfect wedding romance to start the Spring season with. Sloane and Wilder were such a joy to read. These story was both light-hearted and funny and strong and emotional at the same time. I will definitely be reading more from this author!

A new favorite in the world of rom-coms for me. The way the story unfolded and the banter between Wilder and Sloane was so good. There was heartache and forgiveness strung throughout the book that really applied to how real life relationships can unfold. I couldn’t put this book down and wanted to read what would happen next with every free moment that I had.

This was exactly what I look for in a contemporary romance. The characters were well fleshed out. The plot made sense. There weren’t over dramatic misunderstandings. And the banter was delightful.
I especially appreciated the thought put in to all of the characters. The two leads, Sloane and Wilder, both had a lot of depth to them, and were working through different issues. The relationship with Sloane and her dad was wonderfully supportive and complex. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and lost a fair amount of sleep staying up to read just one more chapter.
Sloane is a journalist who writes a column for a Bridal magazine and therefore attends frequent weddings. This isn’t always easy for her, seeing as she herself was jilted at the altar. Due to unforeseen circumstances and a very dramatic bridezilla, she ends up as a bridesmaid in a wedding for a couple she doesn’t actually know. To make matters more complicated, she’s paired with a very attractive man for the ceremony.

This was a really sweet and funny slow-burn. From the start, there is excellent banter as both main characters have quick wit. They go toe-to-toe quite a few times and it always had me chuckling. I loved how sweet Wilder was even though he never wanted credit for it. They truly were an excellent pairing and took their time getting to know each other.
I did knock off a star due to how often we heard about Wilder’s sexual past. I get he was a playboy before but, when I’m reading a romance I don’t want the constant reminder of the MMC’s previous conquests. I also didn’t love the bit about his best friend cheating. It didn’t add to the story and it made me not like that character. Overall, this was a quick, light, and fun read.
Thank you so much to Vi, Tor Publishing Group, Bramble, and NetGalley for this ARC in return for my honest review. My opinions are my own.

3.5 stars. This was a quick and fun read. I enjoyed this book but didn’t leave a lasting impact on me. Wilder is 🔥🔥🔥

This book was so disappointing in so many ways.
Too many tropes just thrown there, a couple of unnecessary revelations. The MMC and FMC didn’t feel like they had much of a connection. I mean, this guy is a ladies’ man and he gets hooked on the FMC. Okay, sure, I can bite it, but it doesn’t seem real that he’s the oe who falls first and says I love you after less than two months of having known the FMC.
The premises weren’t bad, it’s everything else that was. Still, I read it in less than a day so thankfully it was a pretty fast read.
Thank you NetGalley for the arc. All opinions are my own.

No cause why is this one of my biggest fears before getting married? This was such a lighthearted and fun and fast read and definitely pulled on the heart strings. Anyone who wants a cozy romance with an unforgettable plot will enjoy this.

A fun, frothy, spicy romance! I really loved how down bad Wilder was for Sloane. A true reformed player fantasy. He was also so respectful and understanding of her boundaries, which was nice to see. At the same time, Sloane was introspective enough to know what her own issues were and work through them.
I kind of wish they’d been able to work through the final conflict a little differently, but overall a great read, and I’d definitely pick up another Vi Keeland book!
Thank you to Tor Publishing Group and Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the premise of this one, the idea that a woman who had been Jilted previously meeting a new man at a wedding and then seeing him at each of a series of weddings for a year, because she works for "Bride" magazine.
Sloane and Wilder are perfect together, even thought it takes them a bit to see it. I love the way the author let her learn that he was serious about being with her as we did as readers. I wasn't entirely sure we needed some of the outside things that caused their issues, but I also wasn't pulled out of the story.
One of the things that really worked for me in this story is how much I liked Wilder. He was a genuinely good guy. He did have a couple of moments, but it was who he was through the rest of the story that made it possible for him to be forgiven when he wasn't at his best, which made the book work well for me.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.

This was my first Vi Keeland book and most likely my last.
I really enjoyed the romance, the spice, and the banter between the male and female leads. Their chemistry was engaging, and the relationship had fun moments. However, what completely ruined the experience for me was the unnecessary insertion of a political stance that felt completely out of place in a romance novel.
Specifically, there’s a scene with a line that reads:
“Dumbass thought it was a good place to talk about control.” Harry shook his head. “He’s lucky I didn’t bring my gun to the church with the shit he pulled.”
WTF is that supposed to mean? Is that a threat? Why would someone, even in fiction, bring a gun to church, or brag about almost doing so? I found the comment deeply inappropriate. It didn’t contribute to the story, didn’t build the romance, and felt completely jarring. It almost made me DNF the book.
Even if the intent was to reflect a character’s personality or profession (as several characters are cops), this specific comment felt over the line. Without that moment, I genuinely would have rated the book higher.
It just isn’t something I want or expect to encounter in a romance novel.
While I think Sloane's ex is absolutely stupid enough to bring up gun control at a shooting range, the author could have easily removed the line, “He’s lucky I didn’t bring my gun to the church with the shit he pulled,” and the father’s anger toward the ex would still have made perfect sense. That one sentence added an unnecessary layer of aggression that didn’t serve the story, the character development, or the overall tone of the book. It pulled me out of the romance and left me feeling uncomfortable.
This is just my own opinion and review. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone I know but I think people should read the book for themselves and form their own opinion. If you love the book then that’s great and I’m happy for you. I too think the romance between Sloane and Wilder was funny, steamy, and interesting. I just didn’t like the unnecessary comment mentioned above. It just gave me the ick.

Thank you to NetGalley, Tor Publishing Group, Bramble, and Vi Keeland for the ARC.

My first Vi Keeland book did not disappoint and she now has a reader fan for life. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and Tor Publishing Group for this eARC.
I read this book in two days and it was everything you want in a romance book. Sloane and Wilder are perfectly written characters with the best meet cute I have read in a while. This book had me laughing, smiling with hearts in my eyes (if that is possible) and daydreaming about a rugby player with aquamarine eyes and a British accent (yes you read that write)
Put this book at the top of your TBR list because you are not going to want to miss out on this read.release date is set for May 6, 2024

3.75 stars
I liked this one, but didn't love love it, due to some of the tropes, especially ✨that✨ dreaded one. Sloane is a writer for Bride magazine and has been obsessed with weddings since she was a child, despite having been recently left at the altar. While on assignment covering a lavish wedding, she's asked to step in last minute as a replacement bridesmaid, and finds herself paired up with Wilder, who immediately becomes obsessed with her. Sloane is hesitant because of his playboy reputation, and later finds out not only is he the uber-wealthy son of the owner of her magazine, but also a famous retired rugby player in his own right. Most of the book revolves around Wilder's incessant chase, and I don't typically care for "he falls first", especially when it comes down to throwing money around with lavish gifts and luxury upgrades to try to sway the woman. Sloane comes from a more working class background, with her father and brothers all being NYPD/FDNY and owning a cop bar on the side, so the rags to riches implication was a little icky there. In the end, Sloane gives in and ends her "man moratorium", and the two try to make a long distance relationship work, until real life catches up with them and Wilder almost lets his past ruin a good thing. I think this would be a good one for wedding season with all the fun wedding scenes.

Awww!!! Wilder and Sloane are just amazing!!!! I loved this one! Some similarities from the movie 27 Dresses but with so much more to it! Wilder is the epic book boyfriend in his sweet and sneaky quest to get Sloane to go on a date with him and the steamy tension with these two is epic! The banter is incredible! There were definite moments my eyes were welling up with tears and that doesn’t happen often for me, so I always consider that to be the mark of an exceptional book! I can see the potential for much more in the side characters so I’m hoping for more!!!

Jilted is another fun and swoony romance from Vi Keeland that I really enjoyed! The story follows a wedding writer who’s still recovering from being left at the altar, only to get thrown into bridesmaid duty—and into the path of Wilder, a handsome and irritating groomsman. Their banter is hilarious, the chemistry is strong, and the “enemies to lovers” vibe was done so well. Things only get juicier when she finds out Wilder is her boss’s son and now they’re stuck working together at weddings all season. I loved the slow-burn romance and how both characters grew emotionally throughout the book. It had the perfect mix of humor, heart, and just the right amount of steam. Vi Keeland’s writing is always easy to get lost in, and this one was no exception. A great pick if you love witty, feel-good romance with relatable characters and second chances!
Very grateful to the publisher for my copy through NetGalley, opinions are my own

Describing this book as cute and fun definitely hits the nail on the head! I went in expecting something super light and fluffy but it had way more depth and feels than I was expecting.
The whole premise of them attending weddings together was super charming and fun. Even though Wilder has baggage from his past, I love that he fell first and he fell hard. I am so glad we got his POV because I loved hearing his inner thoughts.
This is a slow burn, but it's worth the wait.
If you're in the mood for a sweet story with a surprising amount of heart, and you don't mind a slow-burn romance, definitely check out this book. I also liked the diabetes representation.

So, so good! Not only did I virtually read Jilted in one sitting, but I’d also give it six stars if that were possible. Used to Keeland’s wicked humour, she didn’t waste time putting it to work in a meet-cute that had me cracking up. No, seriously, there is much more to her love story than just a good laugh. I’m a glutton for slow-burning tension, which she delivered impeccably, and although it’s character-driven, the plot flows seamlessly from start to finish.
Wilder Hayes is a hunky ex-professional rugby player, entrepreneur and a reputed ladies' man who as it turns out is one of his buddy’s groomsmen at a wedding where the lovely Sloane Carrick is doing a write-up for Bride magazine. Seated together, the fun begins.
I liked Sloane a lot. She’s super-easy to connect to, and seeing that she’s lost the wedding groove for reasons to be divulged–well, the book’s title gives a significant clue–she still does a top-notch job advising those who want to tie the knot, broadcasting live on her social media platform.
Whilst Wilder brings baggage to the table, Keeland cleverly kept me guessing what fears he has with sporadic flashbacks. And, of course, we get to see what happened to Sloane and why she’s relationship-shy. So, who falls first is for you readers to find out.
I truly loved their families’ vibes. Two teens navigating growing pains, Wilder and Sloane’s dads always at the ready when they need them, her protective brothers, and not to mention Elijah and Andrew, their respective best mates. Ooh, and what I especially enjoyed were the London sightseeing scenes.
As well as the emotional depth that goes beyond these two’s chemistry, he’s genuinely caring and a real sweetie pie; witty banter and one-liners abound. However, it’s not all cupcakes and rainbows. Sensitive subject matter was told with the utmost empathy, far from spoiling my reading pleasure. Last but not least, the sizzling steaminess! Gosh, saying it’s off the charts would be putting it lightly and get ready for the twist, which I never saw coming.
This is, without a doubt, my kind of read, and I hope all you romance lovers will also get lost in Wilder and Sloane’s delightful story. Bravo, Keeland!
Many thanks to Bramble/MacMillan for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Since childhood, Sloane Carrick has been passionate about weddings, so landing her dream job as a writer for Bride Magazine in New York was a dream come true. However, her enthusiasm for weddings vanished six months ago when she was left standing at the altar, leaving her blindsided and deeply hurt. Having sworn off dating for at least a year, her resolve is tested when she meets Wilder Hayes, a stunning groomsman with mesmerizing eyes at the wedding she’s covering. Initially, she’s only meant to report on the wedding, but she soon finds herself filling in for an absent bridesmaid. What follows is a night filled with unexpected twists, including an intimate moment with her partner during the ceremony. Just when she thinks she’ll never see him again, he reenters her life, complicating matters. Since they frequent the same wedding circles, she can’t help but feel drawn to him. Their undeniable connection and his knack for making her smile complicate her feelings further. As real emotions come into play, can she finally realize her fairy tale?
Jilted by Vi Keeland offers a heartwarming and captivating slow-burn romance that explores trust, healing, and second chances. It’s filled with tension, humor, electric chemistry, delightful banter, and all the swoon-worthy moments. I absolutely adored this couple and was completely enchanted by the story, finding myself smiling throughout my reading experience.
