Vi keeland is an auto read author for me ! And jilted was just as great as the others I’ve read. Her humor is unmatched!!! I am laughing from start to finish.

Not only is this giving perfect romcom vibes. Vi Keeland writes the fictional men of my dreams. Wilder was everything this in this book and I was rooting for sloane the entire time!

Another perfect story in my opinion.

This book was a was cute romance. I really enjoyed it. I did really connect with the characters which I didn’t really like

Summary: Sloane has always loved weddings, and working for a bridal magazine lets her experience the magic firsthand. But after being left at the altar herself, her view of happily ever afters becomes a little more complicated. When she meets Wilder at one of the weddings she’s covering, she knows she should keep her distance especially once she finds out he’s her boss’s son. That’ll be hard to do because she’s assigned to cover more wedding stories that involve him.

Thoughts: I really enjoyed this one! The characters were so easy to love, especially Wilder, who was the ultimate book boyfriend.

I thought the way the backstory unfolded was really well done. It was definitely a little predictable, but honestly, that’s part of the charm in a good romance for me.

The slow burn in this felt so authentic because Sloane was working through a lot emotionally, it added to the romance. There were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments mixed in with ones that completely tugged at my heartstrings.

Overall, it was such a well balanced, cozy, and genuinely enjoyable read. Thank you to the author and publisher for providing me an advanced copy. This honest review is given voluntarily.

Wilder definitely comes across as your typical happy-go-lucky charmer whose had everything he’s ever wanted handed to him on a silver platter. They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover and as easily as you could judge Wilder for his captivatingly good looks, it’s the little things you learn about him that turn him into a heartthrob — the strings he pulls to guarantee another meet-up with Sloane, the way he prioritizes his relationship with his brother, and the care in which he takes to care for Sloane’s family. It’s a testament to Sloane’s past and her will-power that she can resist him.

This is a slower burn with tons of tension and then TONS of steam. I say slower because we maybe make it to 50% but once the tap is open, there’s no stopping it. Note: This is not a complaint. The more we see of Wilder, the more you want to see of Wilder…. and it’s not just me. I mean obviously Sloane is smitten, but her family might fall for him harder and faster than she does!

Transparently, some plot points were predictable, particularly around the past relationships, but that’s not unexpected given certain events needed to have happened for Wilder and Sloane to even be together (e.g., break-ups), but it was clear from the first mentions of Whitney and Josh that we had antagonists we were going to strongly dislike! That said, I struggled with the two timelines. Not only was I not expecting it as the format of the narrative, but I also had a hard time reconciling my frustrations over Wilder’s past relationship while maintaining my optimism for his relationship with Sloane. If you’re like me and you find yourself getting the ick, just settle in for the ride and just trust that Whitney is every bit a baddie in the worst way. But that relationship also helped shape the Wilder you’ll love.

There are a few lines of dialogue that were off-putting… mostly because they go against my own personal values and they were pretty polarizing. But I guess they align with the characters’ back stories. I’m hoping there’s a larger pay-off if this turns into a series because otherwise those throwaway lines could have been omitted and I would have felt a million times better about the book.

One of my favorite things about this book is the supporting cast. They bring a whole other level of witty banter and silliness to the story. Not only do they reveal so much about Sloane and Wilder from their personalities to their values, they’re so dynamic you’ll root for their own HEAs. Personally, I’d love to learn more about Elijah’s story, maybe a second-chance romance for Will, and a childhood-friends to lovers for Lucas and Olivia set 10+ years from now (how sweet would that be!?).

This book was a delight. Sloane works for Bride Magazine, fulfilling her girlish dreams but her grown up nightmares after being left at the altar. She's jaded about love but choosing to focus on helping her family out and taking a break from relationships.

Wilder is a groomsman at an absolutely chaotic wedding, where Sloane is recruited as an impromptu bridesmaid to keep the pictures symmetrical. Wilder is immediately drawn to Sloane. While they flirt and banter, Sloane assumes she will never see him again. But in reality, Wilder seeks her out through his dad who is her boss' boss' boss. His proposal to publish the 12 fraternity brothers' weddings over the next 12 months puts them in regular contact.

While I disliked how Wilder was a content playboy who immediately changes his behavior on a whim, they both dealt with a lot of their baggage in a refreshing way. Sloane didn't trust Wilder because of her broken engagement but also because of his reputation. Wilder didn't commit to relationships because he had been naively manipulated and didn't trust his own judgment.

I really liked Sloane and Wilder and the banter. The slow revelation of Wilder's past was unexpected and helpfully added depth to his character. Also, Sloane's niece and Wilder's little brother and Sloane's dad were fantastic side characters.

Jilted is a delightful, flirty read brimming with charm and an engaging storyline. From their very first encounter, I was completely smitten with Sloane and Wilder, rooting for them every step of the way. This adorable story is so captivating, you won’t want it to end.

After being left at the altar, Sloane struggles with trust and feels insecure about relationships. Wilder, however, is determined to prove he’s in it for the long haul. His playboy past complicates things, making it hard for Sloane to fully trust him. Yet, Wilder consistently shows up for her in meaningful ways. But when unresolved issues from his past resurface, will he be able to confront them and become the man Sloane needs?

“I’ve always been on the run, trying to get somewhere. But since I met you, the only place I want to be is where you are.”

I adored both characters. Sloane’s wit and engaging personality paired beautifully with Wilder’s tender heart beneath his charming exterior. Their snarky, flirty banter and simmering attraction added layers to their chemistry. While they made mistakes, their ability to communicate and take accountability was refreshing. Their love story, shaped by past wounds, was sweet, emotional, and incredibly fun.

Jilted is a thoroughly entertaining read, and I loved watching Wilder and Sloane heal and grow together.

There is a lot of good things going for this new rom-com release that ended my romance reading drought! The main characters are mature, have career goals, and are family centered so it was neat to watch them pine for one another after a tension filled instant attraction moment (coat closet) at a wedding.

Sloane works in the bridal industry and is on a dating moratorium after being jilted at the alter several months ago. Wilder is a former pro-rugby player (and playboy who is allergic to commitment) who lives in London and is almost the guardian of his teen brother. But he is one determined man who falls hard for Sloane and uses his wit, charm, and acts of service to convince her to give him a shot.

The banter, slow-burn tension, emotional arcs (both characters with their families), and great spice made this read fly by for me! Both MCs were easy to root for, and while there is a 3rd act conflict, they handled it with maturely to work for that HEA. I had a fantastic time!

I am truly LOVING Vi Keeland's novels! This is the third I have read and these are so the kind of books that I just want to keep reading and prevent me from sleeping, they are truly that good. This novel was absolutely no exception to that. I was frustrated and also liked how this story unfolded with us slowly getting information on what happened to Wilder when he was younger. I gasped out loud when the truth came out! I love how sweet and endearing the love stories are in these novels. I so wish they were true, but thus far I have only experienced the opposite. I guess I will just have to stick with the romance novels. Highly recommend this!

This was a satisfying, low-drama romance with great chemistry and a love interest who absolutely understood the assignment. The side characters were charming, the pacing was strong, and I was all-in on the relationship from the beginning.

Arguments didn’t drag out. Misunderstandings got resolved like grownups. It was refreshing, honestly.

One late-story plot turn pulled me out of it a bit (it’s a trope I never love) and I wish the book hadn’t gone there. Still, the rest was strong enough to carry me through, and I liked the way it wrapped up.

It didn’t blow me away, but it did exactly what I wanted it to. Sometimes that’s more than enough.

I am a huge fan of Keeland's books and was exited to listen to Jilted who was narrated by Andi Adrnt and Aiden Snow who are some of my favorite narrators. Wilder and Sloan meets at a wedding where Sloan is working and ends up being a last minute bridesmaid and pairs up with Wilder. They had instant connection and ends up with a kiss.

They end up seeing more of each other because Sloan's next assignment involves Wilder's friends' wedding. They are good together and love the banter between them.

I liked the flashback to Wilder's past and what let him to be so commitment phobic. Sloan and her family was great and added some depth to the characters. Wilder and his friends played such a small role in the story despite it being about them getting married.

The 3rd act breakup was not my favorite but the story ended up nicely.

Vi Keeland has written some incredible contemporary romances over the years, but Jilted might just be my new favorite. It’s heartfelt, funny, emotionally layered, and so perfectly romantic that I found myself smiling (and maybe tearing up a little) long after I finished the last page.

At the center of Jilted are Sloane and Wilder—two characters who stole my heart completely. Sloane is a writer for Bride Magazine, someone who used to believe in love and happily-ever-afters... until she was left at the altar. Since then, her job has become more painful than passionate, and her views on love have taken a cynical turn.

Wilder is the opposite in many ways—laid-back, charming, confident, and surprisingly sincere. He’s a former rugby star and now part of the family behind the magazine Sloane writes for. They meet under chaotic, bridezilla-fueled circumstances, and what begins as verbal sparring quickly shifts into something more magnetic. Their banter is electric, full of sass and sparks. But what truly got me was the depth of their emotional connection.

Wilder falls hard for Sloane, and it’s exactly the kind of sweeping devotion I love in a romance hero. He doesn’t shy away from how he feels. He’s persistent but never pushy, playful but grounded, and always respectful of Sloane’s boundaries. Watching him slowly peel back her defenses—and watching her struggle with the fear of trusting again—was beautifully done. This is a true emotional slow burn, and it’s all the more satisfying because of it.

And can we talk about the moments in this book? The coat closet scene? The cupcake kisses?? Instant favorites. Keeland nails the balance between light and emotional. There’s so much joy in the flirty, swoony scenes, but also genuine tenderness as both Sloane and Wilder navigate their respective emotional baggage.

Sloane, in particular, resonated with me. While I haven’t been jilted at the altar, I’ve felt the sting of a broken engagement and the hesitation that comes with learning to trust again. Her fear, her reluctance to let someone in, felt deeply real—and I appreciated how Vi Keeland gave her the time and space to grow.

The supporting cast also added great depth to the story—especially Will and Andrew, who practically begged for their own books. The friend and family dynamics never felt forced, and every character added something meaningful to the plot.

Audiobook Note: I did listen to the audio alongside reading the ARC. While the production quality is excellent—as expected from Keeland’s releases—I did struggle with the voice casting. Andi Arndt is a talented narrator, but her tone didn’t quite capture the youth of a 26-year-old heroine for me. Aiden Snow performed well, though his voice didn’t quite match how I imagined Wilder. Despite this, I still enjoyed the audio experience overall, and it didn’t detract from my love for the story.

If you’re a fan of heartfelt, character-driven romance with flirty banter, meaningful emotional arcs, and a hero who loves hard, Jilted needs to be on your TBR. It’s everything I love in a contemporary romance and more.

I'm newer to reading Vi Keeland, but I just love these stories!

This was a fun, slow burn romance set in the world of weddings. The main characters meet at a wedding - Sloane is a writer for a bridal magazine and ends up being roped into being a bridesmaid at a wedding, where she meets Wilder. The magazine decides to do a full spread on the 12 best friends from a frat getting married, and Sloane and Wilder spend a lot of time together. I enjoyed learning the characters, and there are plenty side characters - I'd love to see a series including all these weddings to spend more time with them. It was an enjoyable story - and there is a hot moment in the coat closet with a cupcake!

This story totally gave me 27 dresses vibes... IYKYK! I always love this authors books and this romcom is no different.
When a former Jilted Bride is paired with a cocky groomsman for a wedding she's technically not even apart of within the first 10% of the book you know you're in for some fun.
Oh I loved the witty banter between the MC's, it's slow burn but doesn't lack the chemistry! Sweet and Spicy the perfect mix hands down for this story.

This was super fun and witty! Forced to face weddings all the time after being left at the altar is not for the weak of heart. But when she's stuck with the handsome guy she met at a wedding and had a....moment with....at work, and he's her boss's son? Yeah, things can't possibly get any worse, right?

I really enjoyed this ARC! It was a cute, easy-to-read romance book. The main male character is a sweetheart and falls head over heels for the main female. They find solstice in each other and are able to heal from past negative situations. I read this book in two days, continuously wanting to know what happens next. This book comes out on May 6th so keep an eye out!
