I am a huge fan of Keeland's books and was exited to listen to Jilted who was narrated by Andi Adrnt and Aiden Snow who are some of my favorite narrators. Wilder and Sloan meets at a wedding where Sloan is working and ends up being a last minute bridesmaid and pairs up with Wilder. They had instant connection and ends up with a kiss.
They end up seeing more of each other because Sloan's next assignment involves Wilder's friends' wedding. They are good together and love the banter between them.
I liked the flashback to Wilder's past and what let him to be so commitment phobic. Sloan and her family was great and added some depth to the characters. Wilder and his friends played such a small role in the story despite it being about them getting married.
The 3rd act breakup was not my favorite but the story ended up nicely.
Thank you @brambleromance @macmillan.audio for a copy of the audiobook.

Vi Keeland has written some incredible contemporary romances over the years, but Jilted might just be my new favorite. It’s heartfelt, funny, emotionally layered, and so perfectly romantic that I found myself smiling (and maybe tearing up a little) long after I finished the last page.
At the center of Jilted are Sloane and Wilder—two characters who stole my heart completely. Sloane is a writer for Bride Magazine, someone who used to believe in love and happily-ever-afters... until she was left at the altar. Since then, her job has become more painful than passionate, and her views on love have taken a cynical turn.
Wilder is the opposite in many ways—laid-back, charming, confident, and surprisingly sincere. He’s a former rugby star and now part of the family behind the magazine Sloane writes for. They meet under chaotic, bridezilla-fueled circumstances, and what begins as verbal sparring quickly shifts into something more magnetic. Their banter is electric, full of sass and sparks. But what truly got me was the depth of their emotional connection.
Wilder falls hard for Sloane, and it’s exactly the kind of sweeping devotion I love in a romance hero. He doesn’t shy away from how he feels. He’s persistent but never pushy, playful but grounded, and always respectful of Sloane’s boundaries. Watching him slowly peel back her defenses—and watching her struggle with the fear of trusting again—was beautifully done. This is a true emotional slow burn, and it’s all the more satisfying because of it.
And can we talk about the moments in this book? The coat closet scene? The cupcake kisses?? Instant favorites. Keeland nails the balance between light and emotional. There’s so much joy in the flirty, swoony scenes, but also genuine tenderness as both Sloane and Wilder navigate their respective emotional baggage.
Sloane, in particular, resonated with me. While I haven’t been jilted at the altar, I’ve felt the sting of a broken engagement and the hesitation that comes with learning to trust again. Her fear, her reluctance to let someone in, felt deeply real—and I appreciated how Vi Keeland gave her the time and space to grow.
The supporting cast also added great depth to the story—especially Will and Andrew, who practically begged for their own books. The friend and family dynamics never felt forced, and every character added something meaningful to the plot.
Audiobook Note: I did listen to the audio alongside reading the ARC. While the production quality is excellent—as expected from Keeland’s releases—I did struggle with the voice casting. Andi Arndt is a talented narrator, but her tone didn’t quite capture the youth of a 26-year-old heroine for me. Aiden Snow performed well, though his voice didn’t quite match how I imagined Wilder. Despite this, I still enjoyed the audio experience overall, and it didn’t detract from my love for the story.
If you’re a fan of heartfelt, character-driven romance with flirty banter, meaningful emotional arcs, and a hero who loves hard, Jilted needs to be on your TBR. It’s everything I love in a contemporary romance and more.
A massive thank you to Bramble and NetGalley for the ARC. I can’t wait to grab my final copy in May and relive the cupcake kisses and emotional slow burn all over again.

I'm newer to reading Vi Keeland, but I just love these stories!
This was a fun, slow burn romance set in the world of weddings. The main characters meet at a wedding - Sloane is a writer for a bridal magazine and ends up being roped into being a bridesmaid at a wedding, where she meets Wilder. The magazine decides to do a full spread on the 12 best friends from a frat getting married, and Sloane and Wilder spend a lot of time together. I enjoyed learning the characters, and there are plenty side characters - I'd love to see a series including all these weddings to spend more time with them. It was an enjoyable story - and there is a hot moment in the coat closet with a cupcake!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

Sloane and Wilder have been hurt in different ways, so they are both hesitant to pursue love. Over time they work through their past trauma to make room for the lives they have always wanted.

Jilted is a beautifully written slow burn love story. The very well written characters in this book are Sloan and Wilder. This book takes you through the emotional growth and healing of these two people well they fall in love. The chemistry is steamy and delightful.

Sloane Carrick has dreamed of weddings her whole life. Landing a job as a writer at Bride Magazine in New York was everything she’d ever wanted—until her own love story crumbled at the altar. Six months later, still reeling from heartbreak, Sloane has sworn off men and love, promising herself a year of zero dating and zero drama.
Enter Wilder Hayes. He’s charming, frustratingly handsome, and the exact kind of trouble Sloane promised to avoid. Their chemistry is undeniable, their banter electric, and their run-ins anything but accidental. As Sloane tries to stick to her vow of self-preservation, Wilder seems determined to prove that not all love stories end in heartbreak.
Packed with laugh-out-loud moments, sizzling tension, and heartwarming second chances, Jilted is a witty, emotional ride about rediscovering love when you least expect it—and learning that sometimes, getting left at the altar is just the beginning of something better.
Many thanks to NetGalley, Vi Keeland, and Bramble Books for the opportunity to read Jilted!

This story totally gave me 27 dresses vibes... IYKYK! I always love this authors books and this romcom is no different.
When a former Jilted Bride is paired with a cocky groomsman for a wedding she's technically not even apart of within the first 10% of the book you know you're in for some fun.
Oh I loved the witty banter between the MC's, it's slow burn but doesn't lack the chemistry! Sweet and Spicy the perfect mix hands down for this story.

This was super fun and witty! Forced to face weddings all the time after being left at the altar is not for the weak of heart. But when she's stuck with the handsome guy she met at a wedding and had a....moment with....at work, and he's her boss's son? Yeah, things can't possibly get any worse, right?

My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was a fast and cute read with a happy ending.

I really enjoyed this ARC! It was a cute, easy-to-read romance book. The main male character is a sweetheart and falls head over heels for the main female. They find solstice in each other and are able to heal from past negative situations. I read this book in two days, continuously wanting to know what happens next. This book comes out on May 6th so keep an eye out!

Weddings? Traumatizing. Writing about them for a living after getting ditched at the altar? Somehow worse. But Vi Keeland said what if healing looked like hot enemies-to-lovers tension and accidental bridesmaid duties?
Enter Wilder Hayes: ridiculously attractive, insufferably smug, and the human equivalent of a walking red flag with a jawline. They bicker, they banter, they get trapped in a coat closet—you know, the usual way people fall in love.
And just when she thinks she’s escaped the chaos, bam! He’s her boss’s son. Corporate nepotism has never been so hot.
This book is pure rom-com crack: flirty fights, forced proximity, and a level of sexual tension that should probably be illegal at a family-friendly wedding.
Would recommend to: anyone who loves messy romance, perfect tropes, and books that make you laugh out loud then clutch your chest because “wait… feelings??”

This was a nice, light, fluffy read, just what I needed. The characters were lovable, and I instantly wanted to keep reading. I also enjoyed the storylines of the supporting characters. I liked that it included real life situations such as illness and helping family. The pace of the book was great, no time for slowdown. This definitely makes me want to read other titles by this author.

I am so sorry I had to drop this at around 20%. The way the characters talk to each other is almost unreadable, and I don't enjoy this style of 'banter'. The cover and description feel like a fun and modern rom-com, but this doesn't feel very original to me.

This book was so much more than what I was expecting.
I couldn't put it down, I ended us finishing the book in two days. It was so good, and captivating. About halfway through I felt like I knew were the book was going and it did kind of end up going that way.
I was not expecting the twist of Wilder's ex that basically turned him off of relationships. OMG was that a dozy, I don't think I would have ever expected that outcome but I can see why that made him they way he was.
And Sloane, I loved her. She was great and I feel like every women who has ever been wronged by an ex.
I loved the way Sloane and Wilder were able to move on from their pasts together, and how easy it was because they were the ones meant to be together.
My only complaint is that it ended too soon, I wanted more of them. Fingers crossed for a Lucas/Olivia book!

This was SUCH A CUTE READ! Vi Keeland has such a lovely writing style and such character writing and development. I cannot wait to read more from her.

If Vi Keeland writes it, I most likely love it. This one was so good and now added to one of my fav reads of this year. I'm such a big fan of the duo-POV, and I just loved getting to know these two characters, Sloane and Wilder, and see them fall in love.
- Top-notch banter
- Slow-burn/yearning
- our MMC is an acts of service man
- suuuuuuper spicy!!
Disclaimer: I received an arc of this book. All opinions are my own!

Thank you, NetGalley and Tor Publishing Group, for the ARC.
The story kicks off with Sloane working at Bride Magazine, where she writes about weddings—pretty ironic, considering she was jilted at the altar on her own big day. Her ex couldn’t get over his ex-girlfriend, and ever since, Sloane has taken a one-year break from men and relationships.
While covering a wedding for a wealthy fraternity group, she meets Wilder (a famous retired rugby player from London)—and their chemistry is instant. He’s the classic charming bad boy, not exactly known for long-term commitment. But there’s something about Sloane that flips a switch in him—suddenly, he’s thoughtful, protective, and genuinely wants to take care of her.
Sloane, though, isn’t quite ready to dive into something serious. She knows what she wants—love, commitment, a real future—but emotionally, she’s still working through the heartbreak and insecurities from her past.
As it turns out, Wilder is actually the son of Sloane’s boss. Wanting to see her again, he convinces his dad to assign her to cover a series of weddings hosted by his fraternity group—just so he can keep showing up and spending time with her. That’s how their relationship slowly starts to grow.
As the story unfolds, we see Wilder’s softer side and learn more about his past—specifically, why he’s avoided serious relationships. He’s been hurt before and is terrified of losing someone he truly loves.
Eventually, a surprise pregnancy shakes up their world—but instead of pushing them apart, it brings them even closer. It becomes clear that both Sloane and Wilder want love, stability, and a family. They just needed to believe they could have it together.
Overall, this is such a fun, cute, and heartwarming read. It’s light, easy to get into, and full of swoony, feel-good moments. It's definitely one of those perfect summer romances. For me, it’s a solid 5-star book—the chemistry between Sloane and Wilder is pure fire, and I found myself giggling and smiling the whole way through. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it!

He is a retired rugby player. They meet at a wedding and there is instant attraction. He wants her to jump into a relationship with him and she isn’t ready.
He earns her trust and love is in the air. The third act breakup wasn’t my favorite but this was still a fun read and brought the spice.
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read this as an ARC.

Jilted was lol funny and Wilder is *che’f’s kiss awesome. Sloane has the worst luck ever; aside from meeting Wilder. Their banter is hilarious and their chemistry is fire.
