If you take this book for what it is (a fun, quirky, light, interesting read with highlights of emotional value), it's a five star book and done very well ! If you are expecting a self-help type of book that is more dense and reads like a long form book, you will be disappointed.
There are lots of little ideas and sprinkles of wisdom that, while not earth shattering, are worth absorbing and thinking about. This would be a good coffee table book gift.

I've been a fan of Rubin's work from the very beginning. I like her writing style and have learned a lot of lessons from her books over the years. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of her latest title. I can't wait to share this with my son and his friends as they graduate this year.

I've read other books by Rubin so I was excited to read this one. It was okay, but not really what I was expecting. It's very short and basically just shares thoughts on different areas of life. I found some of them meaningful but it's not really something you read straight through. This book reads more like a coffee table book that you pick up every once in awhile.

I loved this! A very quick and fun read!
This is exactly what I appreciate Gretchen Rubin for- her ability to compile a relevant list of ideas and quotes. I can often be heard spouting something I heard from her.

This book made me felt like I was binge reading fortune cookies or Pinterest quotes. After an intro explaining aphorisms, which felt a bit elitist, this book was solely aphorisms with little to no substance. One or two here and there is fine and lets you reflect on its meaning and application but a full book seems like the authors just trying to fill up pages. I felt like I got nothing out of this book besides wasted time.
