Thanks for allowing me to read this graphic novel. I always enjoy reading these remakes of classic novels that are told in manga format. I never got to read them as a kid, so this retelling of them helps me understand each of them more than I would have reading the regular novel as a child anyway. I enjoyed reading this one was well, all in all a good read indeed!

Beautifully illustrated manga adaptation of Jane Austen's most famous work, Pride and Prejudice. Our patrons enjoy Udon Press' Manga Classics series and this is another title that will sure to be a hit with them.

I really love that this series exists. The abridgment is pretty decent, the art will draw in the kids, and overall I can see this flying off the shelves.

I am not, perhaps, the most educated of manga readers, but I find the current move to re-adapt literary classics as manga a fascinating one. Stacy King and Po Tse are not the only team who have tackled Jane Austen's beloved "Pride and Prejudice," but their version stands on its own legs. The art is glossy and true to manga standards, and the text is ... well, there's no easy way to trim a classic of that length down to a couple of speech bubbles per page gracefully. There just ... isn't. As a result, I recommend this adaptation to fans of manga who are not familiar with Austen's original, and to parents or teachers who are Austen fans and looking for ways to engage young or reluctant readers.

This was the very first Manga comic I read and I am not sure how I did not review this book when I read it initially but I totally, totally loved this version as well (having completed reading the book itself only later - the original novel was one I somehow never had read beyond a few pages but glad I somehow kept trying to read it and finally did read it). Back to this edition - I think this edition of the book made me fall in love with it further and in love with Manga too. I recall thinking - so beautiful, so cool, I wish I could draw like this, I wish there are more books like this, and so on and so forth when I read it. And that feeling is still fresh in my memory.
Thank you to NetGalley for this beautiful digital rc of the book

So it turns out I'm not really into manga adaptations of classic novels. This didn't work for me, but I definitely see how it could work for others.

I was unable to read this before it was archived. Sorry!

I've never gotten around the reading Pride and Prejudice, so I thought this would be a great way for me to finally read the book. I was so excited to read this comic but the format it came in was not compatible to any app I had on my tablet at the time. To this day I have not found a way to read the comic and I'm very sorry about this.
