I enjoyed the world in A Rivalry Of Hearts, but I fell in love with it listening to My Feral Romance. Listening to the audio I was delighted to hear Dani Cochrane and Rusty Mewha narrating. They brought to life these unique characters in a charming way.
Daphne is in need a model and an attachment so she doesn't have to go back to her home village and live full time in her pine marten form. Monty needs to prove that he can successfully play match maker so that he can get his book published, all while holding onto a life altering secret. They strike up a bargain to help each other and the dramatic ensue! Learning more about such a unique Seelie Fae was fascinating and so fun to read about. I can't wait to see what shenanigans are in store for book 3!

Monty and Daphne were a DREAM!!!!!
I absolutely love anything Tessonja Odette and this book is no exception. The longing, the angst, the character development! This book was a wonderful story with heart and spice! The audiobook narrators did an incredible job of bringing the characters to life.
And the mirror scene... OMGGGGGGGGGGG

"My Feral Romance" by Tessonja Odette is a charming, yet spicy, romantasy novel set in the Victorian era England. The story follows Daphne, a young fae who presents in her human form but was born a pine marten, and Monty, Daphne's charismatic ex-coworker who has been disinherited of his wealthy family.
Daphne and Monty worked together for a book tour and became quite close. At least, that's what Daphne thought. Monty having been fired, left with a condescending goodbye and the two haven't spoke in over a year. When Monty's work brings him back to the publishing company to get his book published, he seeks Daphne out to fix their friendship. He discovers she is trying to become lead illustrator but needs a male model and he needs a case study for his book to be published. While they help each other in their current work projects but they notice their friendship may be turning into something more... But not something Monty can have.
Odette's writing is vivid and immersive. The characters have depth and are rich with emotions while the romance between Daphne and Monty is wholesome and passionate. The book explores themes of identity, belonging and self-acceptance. While it is fantasy, it focuses more on the romance and has several explicit sexual descriptions.
Overall, "My Feral Romance" is a compelling and entertaining read that will appeal to fans of romantasy and smut. I would recommend this book to those looking for mild smut with an uplifting ending. If choosing the audiobook, which I did, the narrators were great! The voice actor for Monty didn't match the voice which I envisioned him to have, but he was still great and it was was very entertaining to hear him swear.

I didn't know this would be a fantasy romance until after I started but it was interesting to read and I lliked the two leads.

Wow-Tessonja Odette upped the ante with the longing and angst from A Rivalry of Hearts in the newest release My Feral Romance (out December 10). This book is dual POV and has some of the best tropes you love from the romance world, the historical romance feel, and the magical world of Fae to really suck you in. The narration on the audiobook is excellent with both narrators thoroughly embodying their characters. Both protagonists feel genuine, charming and flawed and the story never feels like it’s dragging at any point. This series has two interconnected novels, and it is not necessary to have read the first before reading this one (although I’d recommend it for the experience and watching the characters grow, plus minor spoilers for book 1). I so enjoyed this series and can’t wait for more books from this author! Grateful to Dreamscape media for this ALC.

I wanted to love this but I was not my favorite at all. I was really hopefully but it was a bit disappointing.

Tessonja has knocked it out of the park again with this hilariously sexy sequel!! We follow the antics of Monty and Daphne as they assist each other with their problems. Daphne needs a husband and Monty needs a subject he can coach on making a love match in order to get the publisher to accept his book. What ensues is captivating hilarity and not a small amount of spice and immoral behavior. Perfect melding of fantasy and romcom! Added bonus the narrators are outstanding and play their parts exceptionally well.

4.5⭐️
I am so happy to have been able to dive back into this world that Tessonja has given us. After absolutely loving A Rivalry of Hearts, this has been one of my most anticipated reads, and it did not disappoint.
My Feral Romance takes follows Daphne (or “Daffy), a pine marten fae shifter with aspirations to be a book illustrator, and Monty, a gossip columnist and boxer, two of the side characters from book 1. In this friends to lovers story with Bridgerton vibes, Monty and Daffy make a fae bargain to help each other with their writing and drawing. Things get secretive, things get SPICY, and things are just downright hilarious while they navigate their careers together, as well as the spark that continues igniting between them.
I am absolutely obsessed with this series and with Tessonja’s writing! I need more!
I did a mix of reading the ARC and listening to the ALC and I will say, the narrators did a phenomenal job with this!
Thank you to Tessonja and Dreamscape Media for an ARC/ALC in exchange for my honest review!

This story is so perfect!!! I was absolutely feral for this sequel and it delivered in spades!!
The narrators really bring this story to life, it was such an amazing audio experience. Love it!!

"My Feral Romance" is a delightful blend of charm, humor, and sizzling chemistry that had me hooked from start to finish. Following Daphne, a socially awkward fae shifter trying to nail the art of spicy male anatomy for her dream illustration gig, and Monty, a meddling matchmaker with a bruised ego and big ambitions, this story is an irresistibly fun ride. Their unlikely bargain—Monty posing as her model in exchange for proving his matchmaking advice works—sets the stage for laugh-out-loud moments and heartwarming revelations.
Tessonja Odette delivers a beautifully crafted plot filled with unexpected twists, emotional depth, and just the right amount of spice. Daphne’s struggle to reconcile her fae instincts with her artistic ambitions is both relatable and endearing, while Monty’s journey from arrogant know-it-all to vulnerable romantic keeps you rooting for him. Their slow-burn transformation from wary acquaintances to something much deeper is packed with humor, flirtation, and undeniable sparks.
The audiobook narration by Dani Cochrane and Rusty Mewha adds an extra layer of magic, bringing Daphne and Monty’s unique personalities to life. Their performances perfectly capture the witty banter and emotional nuances of the characters, making the story even more immersive. If you’re a fan of cozy fantasy worlds, friends-to-lovers romance, and clever matchmaking shenanigans, "My Feral Romance" is a must-read (or listen)!

This book has an interesting world and magic system, but annoying characters and a boring plot. The sexy bits are sexy enough, but the story holding them together is lacking the substance to make it interesting. As is often the case in books with traumatic backstories like this, neither character puts in the work or gets the therapy needed to make their happily ever after believable. The ending was wildly unsatisfying and felt cobbled together. The female narrator did a good job, but the male narrator was a mess. His chapters were almost unlistenable. I almost quit the book over it.

I absolutely adore this book! Ever since I finished A Rivalry of Hearts, I've been chomping at the bit to get Monty and Daphne's story and this did NOT disappoint. I devoured both the ebook and the audio, and can easily say that this series will always be a comfort series.
It moves so easily without info dumping, and the cast of characters never fails to crack me up. Monty is a charming devil, and Daphne's growth between when we first met her in ARoH and now is so fun to see! I can't wait for the next book - that character had me in stitches!
For the audio, I absolutely adored the voice actors and their performances! It was so fun to hear this story brought to life.

ALC Book Review: My Feral Romance by Tessonja
Odette
I couldn't wait to dive into book 2 of the Fae Flings and Corset Strings series, and wow, it did not disappoint!
Tessonja Odette has done it again, delivering everything I adore about her books: charming characters, spicy romance, and a world you just can't get enough of.
This time, it's Daphne and Monty's story, and it's absolutely captivating. After their friendship cooled at the end of book 1, fate brings them together again-Daphne, in need of a husband, and Monty, now a romance columnist. A fae bargain sets them on a journey that explores the darker corners of Faerwyvae while treating us to some stunningly spectacular locations.
Their friendship is full of fun banter and palpable tension, making every moment between them shine. This story is so much more than romance-it's about acceptance, love, and finding where you belong. And yes, the steam is
Tessonja Odette's writing is pure magic, and I'll always drop my TBR to devour anything from this series. It's truly one of my favorites.
If you love witty banter, breathtaking world-building,
and heart-fluttering romance, this one's for you!

Sweet and spicy fantasy, it's great for a quick read but the plot was a little off in my opinion. I enjoyed the narration. But eventually this was a DNF for me.

This book is getting added on my conform books list. I loved Monty and Daphne! And everything about them. Their storyline was so much fun. I want to read it over and over again.
Their friendship came so easy to each other and just the safety they found in each other.
Daphne and all her comments about bacon. Girl after my own heart. I love her 'feral-ness' and how deeply Monty just understood her.
I love Monty in his new work role. He's advice column, I would want to read that everyday. He fell hard and it was amazing. Monty and all his secrets. You could feel the weight he carried on his shoulders. How heavy it must have been.
Dani Cochrane and Rusty Mewha did an excellent job on both Daphne and Monty. Recommend them as narrators. They brought Tessonja's characters alive with their voices.
By reading Tessonja's Fae Flings and Corset Strings series first, makes me want to go back and read every one of her backlist as some of the characters overlap and I love that. I also didn't feel lost when I read these ones friend. I am more invested to go back and read those series.
I am also very intrigued about book 3 from the epilogue. That's gonna be one fun ride. And I can't wait!
Read this series! You won't want to miss out.

My Feral Romance is a cozy, spicy, and delightful sequel that delivers everything you could hope for if you were already a fan of A Rivalry of Hearts. Daphne and Monty’s love story is packed with witty banter, chemistry, and emotions as they navigate a whimsical fantasy world full of fae bargains, hidden secrets, and quirky adventures. Their friends-to-lovers journey is both heartwarming and hilarious, with plenty of little moments to make you giggle.
Odette’s world-building is rich and enchanting, while still keeping it fun and whimsical. She touches on relatable themes of self-acceptance and vulnerability. The audiobook has dual narration, with British accent really bringing the regency aspect of the story to life. The characters are all very lovable and entertaining.
I love that this series doesn't take itself too serious and allows you to just genuinely have a good time while reading. Highly recommend for any romance or romantasy fans!

I love this series!! Daphne and Monty are so funny and I love their tension. They were fantastic characters in the first book, and this is a perfect expansion on them and their relationship.
The audiobook is also wonderful and I loved both voice actors. If you are looking for a cozy, funny, and a little raunchy friends to lovers romantasy, then definitely check this one out!
Thank you for providing me with free early access to this audiobook in exchange for my review.

Nothing can be more adorable!
I absolutely loved this second book in the Fae Flings & Corset Strings series.
Daphne and Monty, friends and nothing more, embark on a joint project to help both of their secret problems. Hilarious and full of innuendo, they dance around the truth between them.
A little sweet and a lot naughty, this is a great read!
I listened to the audiobook and these narrators are excellent! The accents, the emotions and the cheeky attitudes are so perfect!
My rating is 4.5 rounded for GR and NG
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC of this audiobook! My opinions are my own for this review.

This was such a sweet story! I loved it almost as much as the first one (I just felt more connected to the FMC in that one). It was so fun and feisty — I really felt like the characters had such great chemistry. It was an uplifting read as well. This author is quite adept at creating some tasteful tension and spice. I am going to have to check out more books by this author.
The audiobook narrators are superb! I really loved their voices and commitment to bringing all the characters to life. Highly recommend the audiobook for this one!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for and advance listener copy in exchange for my honest review.

This book has two of my favorite things in books Faeries and a historical setting. I love this audiobook from beginning to end the narrators did an amazing job bringing the characters to life all characterization were done perfectly and I could understand perfectly what characters were feeling at the moment.
Ever since A Rivalry of Hearts I been wanting to see what was behind Daphne and Monty interactions. And they didn’t disappoint. The book was so much fun I love all the characters they were so well developed.
What I enjoyed the most was to see both Monty and Daphne learning to love and be loved . They both come from backgrounds where love was not really present so they really didn’t know how to let others love them.
The slow burn and the sexual tension was so good 😻
And the epilogue was so intriguing that I will for sure be reading the next book.
