I didn't even realize this was a historical "retelling" of Catherine the great. I feel like it was just like every other YA Romance that gets bashed for being a love triangle +1. The writing is fine, the characters needed more development and growth ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you're a fan of historical and court drama, this is for you! I thought the book was fun and relatively fast paced, making it easy reading. It's definitely filled with drama and kind of soapy which is honestly what I was after with this kind of book.

I wasn't really sure what I was expecting when I started this. Maybe something like The Selection by Kiera Cass? Don't ask me why.
Since I thought of The Selection when I started this I'm going to do a little comparison. Note: I liked The Selection.
For me The Selection was fun but I found it wanting. Not enough detail. Not enough depth or side story.
Queen of Someday, was less "fun" than I thought it would be. And by that I mean it wasn't fluff. It was a solid read with more depth, betrayals were deeper, and as a reader, I was kept on my toes.
I really liked Sophia's changes through the book, trying to maintain "herself" and also striving to be more than what the court, Peter, or the Empress could do to her.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I was not able to review this title. I liked QUEEN OF SOMEDAY initially, however it turned out to be something that I could not get into unfortunately. Thank you so much for the opportunity. I really do appreciate it.
