This was a cute book. I like that they still had feelings for each other after all these years. They definitely should of just talked during that time but I enjoyed seeing how they had both grown.
I received an arc from valentine pr.

Thank you NetGalley, Montlake and Teagan Hunter for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
3.5⭐️ I love second chance romance and friends to lovers. This book features both ok but when I really think about it, it wasn’t my favorite execution of the tropes and I’ll tell you why...
I couldn’t get on board with the reason behind not speaking for 10 years. They were both basically scared, then avoided each other and stayed hurt. (Now that I think about it it’s probably very realistic for 18yr olds but frustrating to read about.)
Then they see each other and after what seems like a few days of interacting again they’re suddenly friends with benefits or maybe dating in semi secret. How is it possible after both being in so much pain last time neither thought it would be a good idea to discuss what they were doing?! Communication, my friends - try it!
Without Gran, her mom and Axel I’m not sure these two would have figured things out in the end.
I enjoyed the characters and the story overall but some of the decisions frustrated me.
Tropes:
Famous Actor
Big city v small town
Friends to lovers
Best friends
Dual POV

Teagan Hunter is a new to me author that I decided to take a chance on and I'm so glad that I did! Best Friends for Never is an adorable best friends-to-lovers story about best friends who lost touch for ten years only to be reunited in spectacular fashion. Best friends-to-lovers is one of my absolute favorite tropes and this was a tasty little morsel to satisfy my cravings. It's funny, sweet, sexy, and fun.
Parker and Noel were inseparable best friends until Noel left their quirky small town at eighteen to try to make it big in Hollywood. Ten years elapsed without contact before Noel finally comes back home to be honored with a theater named after him. A lot has changed in ten years but Parker and Noel's bond isn't one of them. They pick up right where they left off, only this time, things are more heated between them. Both harbor long-held feelings for the other without either of them knowing about it. When those feelings are finally unearthed, Parker and Noel embark on a steamy yet sweet love story full of heart and heat. Outside forces threaten their relationship several times, including the chance for Noel to film a huge movie series. It takes a lot of work but Parker and Noel find the happily ever after that they deserve.
Hunter delivered a story full of quirky meddling characters, fun traditions, and deep roots. It'll make you laugh and it'll make you tear up. It's a fun story that is sure to keep you entertained from beginning to end. Grab this story today! 4 stars

This book went from zero to a thousand in like two pages. I really enjoyed how Clay worked so hard to get Pepper to date him, but once they were together officially it was so rushed. I loved the beginning of this, the characters, and the story, but the ending was too much, too fast. Still a good read, though!

Parker and Noel were everything to one another, until they weren't. Until his big dreams took him to LA and she stayed back in Washington, in their small town. He wanted her to come, but she didn't want to stand in the way of his dreams or worse.. get sick of her.
Now Noel is back and the theatre they once loved is getting an overhaul so it can reopen. A donor gave money to the project and requested that it be named after him. So while Parker is spearheading the project, she isn't sure how she is going to feel when Noel comes home for the dedication.
Immediately when they see one another there is a spark, a connection, a pull. The ten years that has gone by isn't there anymore and it is just them, back together, trying to navigate old and new feelings.
They were in love then, but the kind of love that has grown over the last ten years, just simmering waiting to boil over is what takes hold now. He's scared to ask her to come again, she's scared to ask him to stay, but they both know they can't live without the other.
I loved these two. You could feel just how in love they were from the moment they saw one another again. Those feelings never changed and needed to finally be released. I really loved that in no way at the end did I even question if they would end up together. It was low angst but high on swoon. 4.5 stars.
Thanks to Montlake, Teagan Hunter and Netgalley for an early copy.

Teagan Hunter delivered in this new romance book. She is a comfort author, who provided exactly what I expect of her books in the best of ways. I loved this book and highlight recommend everyone to pick it up.

This was an amazing read!
I was hooked on the story the entire time. The characters were all well-developed and were easy to like. Parker and Noel were both great characters. It was easy to root for them to be together.
I cannot wait to read more books from Teagan Hunter! I highly recommend giving this book a read!
Thank You, Montlake for a free copy of this book!

I enjoyed this book because it had a…
💚 second chance romance with childhood best friends where you rooted for them to be together even if you weren’t sure how in the world it was going to work out
💚 meddling grandmother (Noel’s) and mother (Parker’s) who subtly and not-so-subtly pushed this duo back together in their own ways
💚 childhood tormentor that became a soulmate friendship

What I thought I was going to get was an angsty second chance romance. What I got was a boring we love each other so much but haven't talked to each other in 10 years even though we used to be best friends romance.
Very much not for me.

One of my favourite tropes childhood friends to lovers. The way that they came back together was lovely.

I've never read a Teagan Hunter book that I didn’t love, and this one was no exception! I was immediately sucked into the story from page one, and it only got better the further I read. The characters were strong and flawed in a way that made them feel real, which is something I truly appreciate in books.
The plot was well done, though I wish there had been a bit more angst. The characters forgave each other a little too quickly at times, which lowered the stakes for me. Other than that, I really enjoyed this book! If you love childhood best friends-to-lovers, celebrity, and small-town romance, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a shot!
**A huge thank you to Netgalley, Montlake, and the author for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

- Celebrity x small town gal
I love Teagan’s sports romances so I was excited to read something different from her. I thought the book was cute and the storyline was good, but it just felt a little immature to me. Noel and Parker were cute together and I really liked their relationship, but I truly felt like we were missing their big conversation as to what happened 10 years ago and it was never really cleared up to anyone around what actually happened so that they didn’t just blame Noel for the whole thing. I thought the banter between Axel and Noel was entertaining and I loved Gran.

Best Friends for Never
by Teagan Hunter
Best Friends for Never by Teagan Hunter is a great second-chance romance with good chemistry between the main characters.
Parker and Noel were once best friends, but he left for Hollywood, breaking her heart. Now he’s back in their small town, and old feelings resurface.
I enjoyed their interactions—fun, emotional, and full of tension. The story was engaging, and the romance felt natural. Noel and Parker’s connection was believable, and their banter kept things entertaining. While the plot was somewhat predictable, it was still a heartwarming read.
If you love small-town romances with a touch of Hollywood glamour, this one’s for you!

When doesn’t Teagan write a book that makes you laugh out loud? She’s one of my auto buy authors and writes the kind of books you can’t wait to read, don’t want to put down and keeps you intrigued. I love a small town but even more a friends to lovers, yes please, sign me up. Sometimes you just need your best friend to show you what you’re missing.

A second chance, small town romance full of laughter and passion. I always enjoy a Teagan Hunter book and this was no exception.
It tells the story of Parker and her childhood best friend/now famous film star Noel who are forced to reconnect in order to renovate their home town’s theatre. I appreciated the deep emotions in this book: the nostalgia for the theatre they grew up in, the heartbreak of their separation, and the uncertainty of the couple’s future. It also contains a lighthearted humour through a cartoonishly scheming journalist, small town gossip, and Noel’s shallow jealousy.
Both fun and funny, with a cute happy ending!

Best Friends for Never by Teagan Hunter has literally sucked me in! Noel and Parker intrigued me from the get go and I could not stop reading this book!
Noel left the town he grew up in and everything he knew 10 years ago to become a suoer successfull actor. When an anonymous donor requests to name the small town theater after him he is „forced“ to go back home and face his best friend Parker who he hasn‘t spoken to since he left!
Parker is the one renovating/restoring the old theater and having Noel here is so not what she wants.. or is it?
LiKe I said above this story gripped me! I loved it so much I can‘t even express how much! Noel and Parker are MADE for eachother and you can feel all the feels in this book!
5 Stars

The movie star and the small-town girl, what a brilliant combination with a second chance to romance trope🤌💕 i absolutely love the setting and background of this book. The characters were well penned and drafted as they kept me hooked from the starting till the end of the book and i thoroughly enjoyed reading each chapter of this book. Teagan writes briliant romcom and this was definitely a treat to read again.

3.5 ⭐️
The book was an easy to read contemporary second chance romance. It was a small town, second chance romance, and the characters were easy to like.
I enjoyed the book but felt like there was something missing.

Cute and funny small town / second chance romance. Predictable but had a fun time getting there. The town definitely gave off Stars Hollow vibes which I always love. Would love to dive back into that town with another couple in another book!

A famous actor, the film’s central figure, returns to his hometown to celebrate the opening of a newly renovated theater named after him. Suddenly, he encounters his childhood friend, the woman he’s been in love with since their school days. Ten years haven’t dimmed his memory of her, and he’s determined not to let this chance pass him by. Although, he has his work cut out for him. Ghosting friends and then trying to fix the relationships isn’t as easy as he had hoped.
I found this book to be truly enjoyable. The story has everything we want in a small town with a strong sense of community. Parker is a strong character who is easy to attach to, and enjoy. In fact, all the characters are adorable, and I loved Noel was so supportive of Parker, even though he’s a big star. I found Astrid, her grandmother, to be such a wonderful addition to this story. She’s fantastic. I found myself happy with the wonderful relationship that Parker and Axel shared. In him, she has finally found the trustworthy and supportive friend she’s always deserved, a friend who truly understands and cherishes her. Their interactions were almost as good as Noel and Parker’s.
This has it all - small town, second chance, childhood friends to lovers, celebrity, return to hometown, banter and attraction.
I recommend this read, and suggest you jump into the others in this author’s catalog of addictive and entertaining works. You’ll be glad you did.
