Thank you NetGalley and Bramble for the ARC! Terlu was found guilty of a crime (casting a spell that made a sentient spider plant, Caz). For her crime, she was turned into a statue, forced to look upon others (or cast into a dark storage closet) with no proper interaction. Suddenly, she awakens, cold, alone, but restored. Seeking answers, she discovers that she's on an island filled with greenhouses, each with its own special magical property. She was brought back by Yarrow, the gardner, who was seeking a spell caster to save the greenhouses. They have been failing since the islands sorcerer died, but Yarrow is willing to try anything to save them. Seeing his devotion, Terlu is drawn to help him. With the same warm and heart of The Spellshop, The Enchanted Greenhouse is the perfect read for those looking for a cozy fantasy with a touch of romance.

Such an amazing follow-up to one of my favorite reads of last year. So cozy and whimsical and magical. A complete delight!

The Enchanted Greenhouse is a sequel to The Spellshop and it's just wonderful cozy goodness. It's so sweet and wholesome and full of quirky characters. Perfect if you like:
• Emily Wilde vibes
• a touch of romance
• second chances

Just like with 'The Spellshop', Sarah Beth Durst has created the epitome of the cozy fantasy genre with 'The Enchanted Greenhouse'. It very much reads like a farming simulation game in book form; and I absolutely love it! A quick read with low stakes and a lot of heart.
The chapters featuring vibrant descriptions of the various greenhouse rooms along with the winter setting outside created such a calming, cozy atmosphere and I truly think this would be the perfect read when curled up by a fire.
I absolutely loved the romance --- the grumpy/sunshine trope is one of my favourites. Especially when the grumpy side of the duo has something they're passionate about that makes them light up --- in this case, plants! And those plants also made a wonderful addition to the book, adding many funny and lighthearted moments.
The only thing I could have done without is the family drama. I feel like it was just a little too much for the kind of story the novel was building up to be and I personally would have preferred if the focus had remained on saving the Greenhouses.
That said, I had a wonderful time reading it and would recommend for people who enjoyed the first book, 'The Spellshop', and also other cozy fantasies like 'Legends and Lattes'. Or for people who are looking for books that give them the same feeling as games like 'Stardew Valley' or 'My Time at Portia'.

I needed a cozy book to break me out of my slump.
I love the second chance and growth both MC got. Them fixing the failing greenhouses was so fun to read about.

In punishment for using magic, Terlu Perna is turned into a statue and sentence to be on display as a warning to others. Years later she awakes to discover she is on an almost deserted and unfamiliar island with magical greenhouses, a flying cat, and a grumpy (and handsome) gardener who believes she can save the failing magic of the island. This cozy fantasy read is atmospheric and romantic, with well-developed and loveable characters.

I absolutely loved this book! Sarah Beth Durst has done it again with a cozy fantasy that is 100% cozy. This is a standalone from The Spellshop. But if you loved Caz as much as I do, then you'll get to learn about how Caz came to be. As much as I was excited to see him mentioned in the beginning of the book, I can understand why wasn't part of Terlu's future.
But don't worry, our fearless Librarian (Yes, she's a Librarian!!!!), does what she does best. She researches to find a way to help a sentient sassy rose and the other plants in the greenhouse. There's adventure. There's romance with a grumpy gardener. And all you want to do is find this greenhouse to escape the world.

Sarah Beth Durst returns with another cozy fantasy full of characters that will warm your heart, bring you joy, and leave you full of hope.

This follow up to The Spellshop is delightful! Cozy, with charming characters, I found myself looking forward to the chance to read more about Terlu, Yarrow, and Lotti. Fans of The Spellshop will not be disappointing. Readers who have not read The Spellshop won't be confused if they start with The Enchanted Greenhouse. This book is fun escapism.

This was such an enchanting (see what I did there) read. The world is bright and immersive. Such a good companion to The Spellshop. This book really shined on its own though. The characters were fun to read as well. Can't wait to see what Sarah Beth Durst puts out next. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read it in advance.

I am not a plant person. My thumb is orange. When I read The Spellshop, I had no clue how much I was going to love a plant character. I kind of thought it was a one off, but Sarah Beth Durst said "bet."
While I don't think anything will beat The Spellshop, The Enchanted Greenhouse came Damm close. I didn't think I'd care too much about the story of Terlu, the Librarian that created Caz, but I quite enjoyed it. Durst introduced us to more sentient plants, all with their own personalities, and all completely loveable. Whereas Caz is on the anxious side, Lottie the rose is, on the other hand is kind of wild and sassy.
This is a wonderful, equally cozy followup to The Spellshop. A must-read for those who loved the magic of the fist one.
Thank you to Bramble and Netgalley for the eArc. All opinions are my own.

I love the title and the cover is absolutely beautiful. This is a sweet charming book, the writing is uncomplicated. It’s a fast simple read, but seems more geared to a Y book than adult fiction.

This was every bit as delightful and heart-warming as The Spellshop before it without being a re-hash of the same thing. This time with even more sentient plants! Beware- you will be craving honey cake at every turn!

Sarah Beth Durst’s, The Enchanted Greenhouse, is not only a fantastic addition to the story following the aftermath of the burning of the Great Library of Alyssium, but also a new favorite of mine within the world of cozy fantasy. With its lush and descriptive world-building to the multilayered, exquisite cast of characters, that made this story mesmerizing, this novel will satisfy the human need for connection whether it be through an outstretched hand or leaf.
The story follows Terlu Perna, the rebel librarian who broke the law by creating Caz the sentient spider plant from the first novel. Readers who were curious to know what became of her, such as myself, will be happy to hear the once statufied librarian is now, well, unstatufied. Terlu is quick to learn that she is not alone on this snow covered island. Yarrow, the handsome, reclused, shoulder shrugging gardener is the only other island occupant. Prickly Yarrow offers her warmth, shelter, and fresh, delicious honey cakes while also encouraging Terlu to find away off the island.
Terlu knows she cannot return to her old home, given she is a convicted criminal and should still be a statue as punishment for her crime. She now must learn what her purpose is in this second chance at life on the island of Belde. Over time, Terlu becomes enamored for the islands enchanted greenhouse and the plants that inhabit it. Soon she realizes the magic that is keeping the greenhouse thriving is crumbling around her.
Terlu must decide if she is willing to break the law once again to save her new friends, blossoming new romance, and the island she now calls home.
When I learned there would be a sequel to The Spellshop, I was immediately ecstatic, especially because The Spellshop was one of my favorite books of 2024. I felt that this book was telling my story: a curvy gardening librarian who was trying to find their way in the world after having their world turned upside. Sure it included a winged cat, talking plants, a magical greenhouse, and a stoic gardener love interest that may not be present in my own life, but the friendships built between those who love something so strongly, they are willing to sacrifice everything for the cause is something I can connect with on a personal level.
Durst’s care for the lush and detailed world she’s built along with her diverse cast of characters will continue to draw me in as a reader. She not only incorporates fantasy, slice of life, and romance in a balanced way, but she also gives readers hope that there is always a light and a friend at the end of a dark tunnel.
If you’re looking for a slow burn enchanting romance with talking plants and a story about getting a second chance at finding your purpose, this books for you! This book can be read as a standalone novel, but i personally recommend reading The Spellshop first to feel thd full impact of Terlu’s story. The callback to the first novel definitely made me teary-eyed.
I want to thank Mrs. Durst for entrusting me with a ARC of this novel. This book, along with The Spellshop, are stories I will look forward to rereading when I’m feeling lost and in need of some hope. And also a novel I will be recommending to library patrons!

This book is so wonderfully cozy and full of hope.
I dare say even better than The Spellshop (which I loved a lot).
The characters and story just wove together so well, I can't wait to see what story comes next from this world.

One thing that Sarah Beth Durst does so well is to submerse her readers into her fantasy world. I was able to see, hear, smell and even feel what Terlu experienced. I was sad that I didn’t get to revisit some of my favorite characters from The Spellshop, but I did get to meet some wonderful new friends. Maybe there will be a book three that will bring all of these great characters together??? I can only hope.
Thank you NetGalley and Bramble for this digital arc in exchange for my honest review which is not affiliated with any brand.

This is the first time I've stepped outside of my normal go to genres and read fantasy. I'm a plant lady which is what drew me in and want to read this one to begin with. While I am glad that I decided to read the Enchanted Greenhouse as it was a charming & cozy read, it dragged on for a little longer than anticipated and didn't grip my attention until the end like I'm used to. I do want to thank Netgalley and the publisher Bramble for allowing me the opportunity to get an ARC of this book though. I have now been introduced to the fantasy world! Just hope that my next fantasy read is not as slow paced and has more adventure.

I was super excited to get this Arc from NetGalley. I absolutely loved the Enchanted Greenhouse! I cannot thank the author enough for bringing this world to life! If your looking for a cosy fantasy that’s about second chances with magical creatures on an amazing island this one’s for you.
Terlu and Yarrow are so inspiring, sending a strong message of hope and finding a place in the world where you truly belong.
Lotti and Dendy will forever hold a special place in my heart 💚

This was such a sweet story and definitely embodies what a cozy fantasy is supposed to be. Terlu’s story started out terrible with what happened to her but I loved how she did not let that dampen her mood to some degree but you could still tell if effected her. I also loved the talking plants and the greenhouses. The greenhouses opened up a world of possibilities and yet with them failing a need to fix something even if you are scared.
I will admit while I did love this story, I did love The Spellshop more. But I definitely will be picking up future books and hopefully we will see more of the islands in the future.
** I did receive this book as an Arc from NetGalley for review.**

I have been looking forward to this book! The found family, second chances and gardening magic made this book so fun to read. The sentient plants in this book make me seriously wish magic was real!
