This book was so thorough on all aspects of gardening. The photos were stunning. I was impressed that this book encompassed all varieties of gardening. I somehow thought it would explain flower gardening but it also discussed vegetable, herbs, and fruits. This is very informative and a book I will be adding to my collection.

I would like to thank NetGalley and William Morrow for proving me with this ARC.

This is a comprehensive book of everything someone could need to know when gardening. The book begins with what to plant, where, and when and how to do it. Martha explains how to learn what your soil needs, what common pests and problems you could encounter and how best to deal with them. I was particularly interested in how to use propagation techniques to split or grow new plants from more mature specimens. Paired with breathtaking images of Martha's own gardens across many properties, this book is sure to be treasured and referenced for years (and growing seasons) to come.

The stunning photos in Martha Stewart's Gardening Handbook are worth the price of purchase (for you...I got my copy gratis from NetGalley : ). The book is well laid out and easy to follow. Each section is broken into logical, seemingly easy-to-follow guidelines on planting any kind of garden you can think of. I especially liked the sections on improving soil, choosing native plants, steppable ground cover, making seed bombs, and in-ground vs. raised beds vs. container gardens. I will definitely refer to Stewart's book when planning my own gardens.
