Wild and Wrangled was a good addition to the Done and Dusted series. I liked Dusty's portrayal as a scene kid all grown up, and I liked the unproblematic way the second chance romance played out, especially when there's a kid involved. I found the stakes to be rather low, and not enough conflict for my taste.

spent hours sobbing over this gorgeous book and haven't stopped thinking about it for a moment since. I actually feel completely and utterly ruined by this beautiful, perfect book. I sobbed through the last 15%, absolutely inconsolable, dry heaving open mouth sobs, wrecked with my love for the characters and this universe. I am devastated to say goodbye to this perfect little world but man, WHAT A WAY TO GO. the absolute perfect ending to this universe - a beautiful homage to everything rebel blue and its people, as well as the home and hope and community lyla's created here. lyla is simply masterful in what she does and brought everything in this book full circle, all the dots and stars aligning from the very first page of D&D to the very last of W&W. It was beautiful and powerful and fated and magical and filled to the brim with love and longing and YEARNING and joy. I am genuinely going to be thinking about it for the rest of my life.

For three novels, the reader has wondered about Dusty and Cam's history. Now in Wild and Wrangled, we learn what transpired in their hearts to cause the rift in their adult life. Dusty has always worn his heart on his sleeve, and a letter "A" tattoo. His heart has never forgot his first love, and everything he's done since then has always been for her.

In this fourth and final book from the Rebel Blue Ranch series, Dusty and Cam finally acknowledge what happened all those years ago, and what its given them for now. This love story is full of angst, spice and all the meddling from past characters. I will always love the Ryder family and their ranch.

Add Dusty to your book boyfriend list NOW!

Lyla Sage does it again with Wild and Wrangled! Camille Ashwood has a plan: marry the parent-approved fiancΓ©e, climb the corporate law ladder, and provide for her daughter. When her perfect fiancΓ©e leaves her at the alter, Camille's plans are left in the dust. Back in her hometown, Camille takes comfort in the Ryders-- her friends and daughter's second family who've always been by her side. But when the dust settles, Camille has to face the ghosts of her past, namely Dusty Tucker. Dusty, her high school sweetheart, the one that got away, and now the one who's come back to stay. They have a history, but is it enough to leave the past in the past, or does the past still haunt the present?

Wild and Wrangled is the conclusion Done and Dusted fans have been waiting for. Meadowlark is still the same charming escape its ever been. Camille and Dusty's story is filled with tension and heart that make it a great final installment to the Done and Dusted series. Fans will not be disappointed even if this is the end of the series. The only complaint: that its over!

There is something to say when you read a series of books that you thought, β€œI would never like these.” I picked up Done and Dusted in the beginning of 2024 from my local library, and it quickly became my favorite romance novel. Later on, I found out it was Lyla Sage’s first published book, and there was going to be a series of novels from different characters’ points of view. I quickly bought Done and Dusted and Swift and Saddled, met Lyla in Salt Lake City (driving there from Phoenix with a friend), having my co-workers hear constant praise and excitement for Lost and Lassoed, and then hearing Wild and Wrangled was going to be the last book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series… it was a lot. So here is my review of the last book.

The setting is open and small-town just like the real Wyoming I know. The characters from all these books feel real and fleshed out. They all have obstacles in their lives but don’t let them become problems.

In Wild and Wrangled, we find that Camille yearns for an open-minded family and wants Riley (Cam and Gus’s daughter) to feel loved more than she ever did with her parents. Camille fights her inner thoughts and emotions about not being the β€œperfect” mother and how her life has made her the way she is. You can feel the love the Ryder family has for Camille.

I haven’t felt a more kicking-my-feet-from-the-cuteness of a relationship in any book before.

I am not going to lie, I was not terribly excited to hear about Dusty Tucker (still a superior name for a male character) and Camille Ashwood. I just really did not connect to their characters in the previous books, but behold my surprise when I started to fall in love with their relationship.

My favorite part of the book is the flashbacks we get from their time meeting and falling in love in high school. The escape and freedom Camille feels with Dusty is very much realized with Sage’s way of writing through realistic dialogue and situations. And Anne. Sneaky, sneaky Anne!

I am not a huge fan of second-chance romance, but this story had me second-guessing that opinion. The relationship Cam and Dusty have seems believable and one I am rooting for. The forced proximity situation that happens made me laugh and enjoy the book even more.

It seems overall this book was the perfect ending to a place I fell in love with almost a year ago. I want to say to Lyla Sage, thank you for giving the western romance genre a breath of fresh, open sky air. I can’t wait to read what’s next!

This is a really great romance and series! Even if you haven’t read the whole series, I think if you love the romance genre, you’ll love this. Fun, sexy, with lots of heart. This was great.

It is here…The final book of the Rebel Blue Ranch series. What a way to end it all. Finally we have Cam and the guy we have watched pine over her in the previous book, Dusty. This is a second chance romance that will leave you feeling happy and also annoyed at times. Here we have a woman who is from a well off background and a guy who is from a regular blue collar background. They are friends and turn into lovers.
During the book we see their story as we go between current time and the past making our way throughout their history leading back up to present time. I will say sometimes when books do this it really messes with me and this one did to. It read a little slower for me but despite that I still throughly enjoyed my time and the story. We still see all of the characters from the previous stories and it felt so good in the end having all the closure and not having anyone really left behind. Now as i sit here I keep wondering what Lyla Sage is going to bring us next. For her first series she really started her career with a bang and I am sure whatever she does next will also be a hit!

ARC REVIEW

This was such a wonderful conclusion to the Rebel Blue Ranch series. I’ve been looking forward to Dusty and Cam’s story since book 2 so naturally I was SO hype to dive into this! Overall, this book passed the vibe check. There were a few times where I felt like some of the storyline felt a bit rushed and the almost-third act breakup plotline barely made sense, HOWEVER, without spoiling too much, one of the characters had some common sense so that feeling disapated very quickly.

What really got me was the VERY ending. Like after the epilogue. I cried. Ok that’s all.

Thank you to Netgalley and Dial Press for the early e-arc! ❀️

What a sweet ending to an amazing series.

Books 1-3 were all instant loves for me so I had a lot of expectations for Book 4. I loved the then and now flow of this story - seeing Dusty and Cam back in High School was my favorite part of the story, to be honest. I loved watching their relationship unfold at such a young age - and the way Dusty clung to Cam and never once looked back (for better or worse, lol). <3 The tone of this book felt a lot different than the other three, you could feel how bittersweet it was for Lyla to be ending the series with these two.

I cannot wait to see what Lyla comes out with next - I am so looking forward to her next series! <3

Thank you to Net Galley and Dial Press for the ARC.

3.5 stars rounded up. Wild and Wrangled is the fourth and final installment in the Rebel Blue Ranch series, and I really enjoyed this one. I'm not the biggest fan of second chance romance, but as of late I've been slowly changing my mind, and Wild and Wrangled has certainly helped!

Tropes:
- Second chance romance
- Single mom FMC
- Cinnamon roll MMC
- Forced proximity
- Past secrets/wounds

This book follows single mom Camille (Cam) and Dusty were each other's firsts, but they've long since been separated. Dusty has spent the time running from Cam, and Cam thought she had everything planned out in life until her fiancΓ© left her at the altar. Now, without resources to fall back on, she has to find a new place to live. The only problem? It's right next door to Dusty. And now that Dusty knows Cam is single, he can't help but be hopeful, but Cam is determined to avoid him. Dusty tries to show Cam that the two of them can be friends, and despite her attempts to distance herself, Cam can't help but notice old feelings (and hurts) bubbling back up to the surface.

I LOVED watching Cam get her Happily Ever After, and Dusty was the sweetest, soft boy MMC that Cam needed. It was so bittersweet to say goodbye to these books. I love this town and these characters so much! But I have to say, Lyla Sage did tie up all the storylines in a very satisfying way.

I really recommend Wild and Wrangled. Not my favorite of the series, but an entertaining, heartwarming, and satisfying story in its own right.

Thank you to NetGalley, Random House, and Lyla Sage for providing an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own!

A million stars, all of the tears, all of my heart.

Dusty Tucker you absolute dream boat of a man. This is the most wonderful, heartbreaking, soul healing love story. I felt for Cam so deeply throughout this entire book and her fear of allowing herself to be really truly loved felt so raw and so relatable I could’ve sobbed even more than I did.

I can’t fathom how Lyla managed to make each book in this series better than the last but this one did me IN. Wow wow wow.

Obsessed is an understatement.

An end to an era πŸ’” I have been following not only this series, but also Lyla, since β€˜Done & Dusted’ was the new indie cowboy romance that popped up on my fyp… to see Lyla transition from indie to trad publishing has been amazing and it is one of my favorite things to watch, to see an indie author have their dreams come true and have the opportunity to see their books in bookstores across the country, making them more accessible 🩢 it has been a joy to see this, and I cannot WAIT to see what Lyla does next

Wild & Wrangled is the fourth, and final, installment in the Rebel Blue Ranch series. This book follows Cam and Dusty, who once upon a time were high school sweethearts. This story follows their second chance at life together and their never ending love for each other. To see them go from not even really speaking to each other in β€˜Lost & Lassoed’ to friends to lovers was magical ❀️ I can see why Lyla saved them for last and kept them so close to her chest for so long… but it was absolutely worth the wait if you ask me πŸ₯°

also P.S. Dusty is THE sweet, soft boy MMC and MUST be protected at all cost πŸ₯ΊπŸ«ΆπŸΌ

Throughout the entire series, Lyla Sage has developed interesting and unique stories for each installment. Even though the characters focused in the final book was not one of the Ryder siblings, it was still highly enjoyable. The combination of the flashbacks and the different characters made this book my favorite in the series.

I truly fell in love with the cozy, comforting world of Rebel Blue Ranch, and although I'm sad that the series is coming to an end, WILD AND WRANGLED was the perfect way to wrap things up! After getting glimpses of the chemistry and connection between Cam and Dusty throughout the series, the undeniable tension and the yearning they clearly both feel, we finally get to see them find their way back to each other. I loved following their journey both as a couple and also on an individual level, as Lyla Sage always does such a fantastic job of developing her characters and highlighting the struggles and fears they experience/how they grow throughout the story. Cam's arc is particularly well-doneβ€”how she deals with people-pleasing tendencies and separating what she really wants from what she feels like she's maybe "supposed to" want, how she's afraid of letting people in and allowing herself to be truly loved, no matter how badly she wants to. She's always been such an interesting, complicated character, and it was great to see her journey take center stage! Dusty is, of course, just dreamy, and it was so sweet to see how much he loved and supported Cam from the start. I also enjoyed how Sage uses flashbacks to tell their love story, balancing the past with the present to show how these two are truly meant to be. Finally, I have to shout out the gorgeous coverβ€”in general, the Rebel Blue Ranch series might have some of my favorite book covers in recent memory! They just capture the characters and the entire Rebel Blue Ranch universe so perfectly, and this one was no different.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend WILD AND WRANGLED, especially if you love second-chance romances! This can be read as a standalone, but because of all the connections between the characters and their world, if this is your first Rebel Blue Ranch book, I would strongly suggest going back and reading the others, too! While I'm sure everyone has their favorites (mine is book 3, personally, although I really enjoyed them all!), the whole series is so well-done, and each book brings something different to the table. This was a wonderful end to a wonderful series, and I'm excited to see what Lyla Sage has in store next! Thank you to NetGalley, Random House, and The Dial Press for the ARC.

Screaming and crying as the story of Rebel Blue comes to an end but what a beautiful story of hope and second chances to close out our time in Medowlark. As a huge fan of the second chance trope this book was right up my alley, from the first page I was hooked all the way through the epilogue. I hope maybe one day we’ll get to go back to Rebel Blue but until then this book was the best way to say goodbye.

Lyla Sage has very quickly become one of my favorite romance authors. Every single book just hits so good. Wild and Wrangled is NOT the exception. I loved this one so much. Cam and Dusty!!! Hehehe they have my whole heart. I just loved the amount of love and support between them. It is a beautiful story FULL of yearning (I am a SUCKER for yearning). I do not want this series to end. I have such an emotional investment in this world.

This was so sweet and the perfect conclusion of the series. I am so happy I got to read an early copy even though I’m sad to see these characters go. Cam and Dusty were a perfect match who just needed a little time to get back where they started. So happy that the series ended with such a greatly written book.

Saddle up for this 5 star read! I have said it before and I'll say it again if I could live in a fictional place it would be at Rebel Blue. Book four in this series wa one of my most anticipated releases for 2025 as I have been swooning for Dusty since I first read his name. And let me tell you this book does not disappoint! Dusty is the perfect mix and gentleman and cowboy and absolutely everything Cam and a second chance deserves.
