I can’t believe the last book of the Rebel Blue Ranch is here! I have loved this series and all of the characters in it. Each book was unique yet connected which just made me more invested in the stories.
In book four, Wild and Wrangled, we get to dive into Camille Ashwood’s story. On her wedding day, the groom doesn’t show and she is left to face the music by herself. She finds herself in the bathroom of the bar we have all come to love owned by one of our favorite cowboys. What she doesn’t expect is to have Dusty Tucker to be the one to get her the heck out of dodge. Dusty, her once in a lifetime love who she has not been close to in fifteen years. The same Dusty Tucker she will find herself living next to in her hometown.
This second chance romance took me a few chapters to get into, but once I was in it and couldn’t stop reading. I loved Dusty’s character and how deeply he cared for Camille and her daughter. This story was about growth and finding each other in the end and I absolutely loved it.

This book very much tied a neat bow on the Rebel Blue series with an even greater focus on found family. The jilted bride premise totally hooked me - although I had a much harder time connecting with Cam than most of Lyla Sage's other characters. But Emmy's final epilogue was absolute perfection!
Thanks to Netgalley and Random House for this one.

This is a lovely end to a lovely series. Though not my favorite of the series, this one feels special—more heartfelt, more personal. The inclusion of flashbacks gives it a special touch, and—my goodness—if you’re looking for a love story with longing, look no further than the male main character. While I do wish there were some areas of the story that were explored in more depth and while I do feel like there’s some conflict that’s unnecessary, overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The epilogue for the series feels like a beautiful, book-end type of goodbye to our family at Rebel Blue Ranch. If you’ve enjoyed any of the series, this won’t disappoint for a heartwarming read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for an ARC of this book.

We would like to thank Net Galley for an ARC of this novel - it's a wonderful end to an amazing first time series for Layla Sage. We have covered 3 of the 4 in the series for our podcast, Wild and Wrangled the most recent release. Absolutely beautiful and emotional, and we finally what happened "that night" with Gus and Cam. So satisfying.
Single mom, Cam, has never gotten over her first love, and :spoiler alert: he hasn't ever forgotten her. Dusty returns to Meadowlark to be closer to his mother and to possibly gain a second chance, with his high school love, Camille. While Cam is open to friendship, after 15 years apart, rekindling a relationship with Dusty is not in the cards. When they become unexpected neighbors, the magnetic pull between the two may prove too much to ignore.
What we liked:
- DUSTY. PERIOD. END OF SENTENCE.
- Amos Ryder comes in clutch AGAIN in this book with the most insightful advice and unconditional love
- The box of notes.
What we didn't like as much:
- The third act breakup was not needed.
- We needed more closure with a certain parental relationship.
Honestly, you will want to read these books in order to get the most out of this book. While each are a standalone, the build up to one particular scene between Gus and Camille isn't as poignent if you've not read the previous 3. As this is a new first series for Lyla Sage, we are absolutely thrilled to read what she has in store for the future.

Another hit for Lyla Sage! I’ve been patiently waiting for this book and was so happy to receive an early copy. I really enjoyed the dynamics between Dusty and Cam and the second chance trope. I am sad to see this series end but excited to see what she will come up with next!

Lyla Sage does no wrong, and I'm so sad to see Wild Blue Ranch come to a close. I love that the series ended with Cam's story because I've spent all of the previous books wondering about her story. I do wish it would have shared more about Cam's parents and how her relationship with them ended, but overall I greatly enjoyed Wild and Wrangled.

One last ride at Rebel Blue Ranch! Second chance is my absolute favorite trope and to end the series with that. Yeehaw?! Also with an always been YOU. Thank you, Lyla Sage! 🤠

I am so, so sad to say goodbye to Rebel Blue Ranch and all of these characters (!!!!!!). Cam and Dusty's love story felt so authentic to me – if he wanted to, he would!!! – and both of these characters feel like flawed people who are just doing their best. Getting to see their relationship develop in the 15 year flashbacks really made the present day story feel all the more meaningful, and I loved how each of their independent journeys eventually wound back around to find them taking another chance on each other.
Spoilers ahead!
The only thing I wish we had more resolution on was Cam's relationship with her parents. While we got a moment of interaction when she and Dusty stood up to her parents at the gala, I wanted to know where they left things as they moved forward and if Cam maintains a relationship with them.
The epilogue was ✨LITERALLY EVERYTHING✨ that you want in the epilogue for a series concluding book. We got to see each of the characters and get a little update, and we got a full circle moment with all of the Ryders together visiting their mom/wife's headstone. It just felt like okay, we can let this family go live now and we don't need to have any more of the story to know they'll be okay.
Last thing – I highly recommend the audiobook if you're between copies! Connor Crais as Dusty was so good, and it's worth it just to hear Lyla's author note at the beginning of the book.

LOVE!!! This book was the perfect way to end to the series although I’m very sad that it’s over. I loved getting to experience this with all of them and see how stories tied together and wrapped up. It was like being with friends.

Pretty sad this is the last of the Rebel Blue series! I enjoyed this (Dusty might be my favorite MMC of the series) but Cam’s character just left me kind of… bored. I understand why she was more introverted and self conscious but i feel like they could have given her a little more razzle dazzle?? It just felt so bland and didn’t make Dusty’s undying love feel realistic cuz they didn’t seem to really connect on a deeper level until the very end (& even that was lacking). So idk, not the solid ending I was hoping for but i still enjoyed it. I kind wish Lost & Lassoed had been the final book- Gus & Teddy just had the best banter and the dialogue was fun and exciting. Anyway- 3 stars.

Thank you to Netgalley and Random House for the e-arc of this wonderful story.
Okay, Wild and Wrangled gave me ALL the second chance romance feels — the kind that makes you believe timing really is everything. Dusty and Cam? Ugh, they’re the DEFINITION of "the one that got away." Their chemistry was off the charts, and the push-pull between them had me giggling one second and clutching my chest the next. You know that feeling when two people are so clearly obsessed with each other but are both trying (and failing) to play it cool? Yeah, that.
Lyla Sage nailed the emotional tension, and even though there was a part in the book that didn’t totally land for me — it felt a little unnecessary and pulled me out of the flow — I still couldn’t put it down. There’s something about this pairing that just works. Their history, their stubbornness, their soft moments... all of it tugged at my heartstrings.
If you’re into second chance romances with a touch of angst, a lot of heart, and swoony cowboy vibes, I’d totally recommend this. It's my favorite of the Rebel Blue Ranch series so far — and trust me, I’ve read them all.

Solid way to end the series, even though this is my least favourite couple. It seemed to play up their high school break up but I didn't get the pay off I wanted from it.

First and foremost, thank you to the publisher for providing an e-ARC of this title. I absolutely love this author and her western romances—they’ve truly stolen my heart. The romance in this book, especially the second-chance element, was top tier: emotional, well-paced, and deeply satisfying. One of my favorite aspects of her work is how she interconnects each romance through the larger family dynamic. It gives the entire series a rich, layered feel and makes every new book feel like coming home. Overall, another wonderful addition—I can’t wait to see where she takes these characters next! Four stars

I appreciate NetGalley for giving me the chance to read this ARC!
Honestly, I found both The Rebel Blue Series and Wild and Wrangled a bit disappointing. I was eagerly anticipating tales of cowboys and a picturesque ranch, but I just didn’t connect with it. Sadly, Wild and Wrangled was likely my least favorite. I struggled to relate to Cam and Dusty, and I didn’t enjoy how this installment seemed disconnected from the ranch setting. Additionally, I wasn't a fan of how the romance scenes were portrayed. However, I know many people who absolutely love this series and encourage others to give it a shot! Just because it didn't resonate with me doesn't mean it won't be perfect for you!

Another excellent addition to the Rebel Blue Ranch series. The build up to these characters' stories made readers already deeply invested, but there is no lack of emotional investment if read as a standalone.

Such a bittersweet feeling to have the rebel blue ranch series come to an end 🥹
Wild & Wrangled absolutely has my heart, Camille & Dusty are actually everythinggg to me - I can’t express that enough. I will never shut up about this book. My favorite one in this series - and favorite book I’ve read so far this year. I read it in January and STILL think about it all the time!! I’ll definitely be rereading it soon so I can be a part of their world again.
I really loved the dual time lines & flashbacks, it helped me understand them on a more foundational level and I really appreciated getting a glimpse of them in the past. It helped me feel more connected to the characters on a deeper level for sure. Also the Chili’s rep?? So real lol.
Camille & Dusty’s love is the type where they would find each other in every universe, they are *that* meant to be and it was palpable through the pages of this book. The tension, the angst, the YEARNINGGG. SO good. And the amount of growth they both had was beautiful. Also Cam is suchhh an incredible mom.
So much unconditional love, respect, and support not only between the two of them but from everyone else in the book. I’m obsessed with every character in this series, I swear lol.
Couldn’t recommend this book, and this series, enough. Sad to see it come to an end but so happy to have been able to be inside this world 🤎

Fifteen years after Camille and Dusty break up, fate (and a runaway groom) bring them back together again.
Cam and Dusty 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻. God, I loved this book SO much. What a beautiful way to end the series. I think Dusty might be my new favourite. 🤭
For anyone debating whether or not to buy this book, DO IT.

“She’s the one that got away. He’s the one that never let her go.”
Personal review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ugh, this book was bittersweet! Sweet because it was amazingly written and developed, bitter because it was the last installment in the Rebel Blue Ranch Series. Riley’s mom, Camille, is the star of Wild and Wrangled and follows her second chance romance. Camille captured my attention at the end of Lost and Lassoed, so when I received an Advanced Copy of this novel from @netgalley, I almost died! This book was the perfect ending to Rebel Blue, although I selfishly want more, I will be waiting for Lyla Sage’s next work!
Synopsis: Camille Ashwood had always loved a plan. Her latest was her best yet. She was going to get married so she could secure her daughter’s future, get her overbearing parents off her back, and finally start building her own life in small-town Meadowlark, Wyoming. Easy, right?
But when her groom doesn’t show up to the wedding, Cam’s life is turned upside down—she doesn’t even have a place to live. That is until she finds out the house she’s loved since high school is available to rent. There’s only one problem: the neighbor.
Dusty Tucker has spent nearly all of his adult life running. Running from what, though? More like who: Cam Ashwood. But ever since he returned home last year, the girl who was his first, well, everything has become a woman seemingly determined to keep him at arm’s length. And he was okay with that—at least, that’s what he kept telling himself. She was getting married, after all. But now she’s single and living next door. Dusty wants to show her that they can be friends, and that he can stay put.
Despite her best attempts to stay far away from Dusty Tucker, Cam realizes that being close to him is like slipping into her favorite jeans. Easy. Comfortable. That is until past wounds start to open and feelings—both old and new—wreak havoc. Nearly ten years after they first met, Dusty and Cam begin to wonder if their first love can also be their last. And this time, will it be forever?

This one was a stunner!!! I was so excited to finally be able to read the latest Rebel Blue book! I've been waiting for Cam & Dusty's story and Lila FULLY delivered! Cam & Dusty just might get the second chance they never thought they could have after Cam's wedding to another man doesn't go as expected. I loved the way she wrote this one, and the way that Dusty and Riley's relationship developed was absolutely precious! Absolutely loved it, and although I'm sad that our time with Rebel Blue is over, I'm so looking forward to Lyla's next series!

I thought this book was deeply romantic. I loved how the flashbacks and letters and current scenes were woven together. I liked how Dusty was SO in love with her. And how he kept finding ways to connect with her and move their friendship forward.
There were a few plot lines that didn't wrap up and therefore didn't give me the closure or information I needed at the end of the book. :/
Overall, I think it's my favorite of the series though!
"You are everything to me. You always have been, you always will be."
"I love you for who you've been and who you are and who you're going to be..."
