Stolen Baby had me hooked right from the prologue and I found it difficult to put this book down. Told mainly from the POV of Nora. Who is happily married to Tom and she has an older daughter Izzy from a previous relationship. Desperate to have a child with Tom she is determined to do anything to make this happen. This was a fast paced read with plenty of twists and turns and some I certainly wasn’t expecting. The characters were all well developed and interesting. From start to finish I was completely invested in the story. The ending had me hoping for a sequel.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the Publisher for the eARC! I loved Stolen Baby- another 5 star read from L.G. Davis. Davis is becoming an auto read author for me and I am so glad I have found her books on Netgalley. Stolen Baby is full of drama, twists, and lies- where the truth unravels at the very end. I liked the twists and definitely did not see the ending coming. I did think that the ending just ended- the story could keep going (maybe because I didn't want this book to end). Highly recommend to thriller lovers! My review will be posted to my bookstagram @bookofthemeg on either 1/25 or 1/26!

Stolen Baby by L.G. Davis was another excellent psychological thriller with lots of great twists and turns that will have you hooked from the beginning till the end. Stolen baby, was a book you could really put yourself into all the characters shoes and feel for them all. There was so much going on with all the characters, everyone had secrets they were all hiding, so you will never get fed up with this book. I did not want it to end. . . . . . I loved it!

I highly recommend this latest book from Liz. It was another 5 star read,

Big Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for providing me with this E-ARC.

Stolen Baby
by L.G. Davis
Pub Date: Jan 24 2025

Stolen Baby is a totally gripping suspenseful psychological thriller with an unforgettable twist at the end! It's very well written with likable but very damaged characters. After reading the story you will understand why! With only 294 pages plan on reading this book from start to finish in one setting! I highly recommend this book.

Synopsis: I told everyone she is my baby. I lied. My life changes forever when my little girl appears in a basket on my doorstep, her long lashes fluttering, only a few hours old. She’s so tiny and precious; my heart is hers in an instant. My husband Tom and I have always longed for a child, so we agree not to tell the authorities. We won’t risk them taking her away. And I know if they find out my history, they’d never let me keep her…

Many thanks #StolenBaby #NetGalley and #Bookouture for providing me with this E-ARC.

Stolen baby by L.G Davis is a fast-paced thriller that will have you flipping the pages eagerly to find out what happens next. Nora, Tom and Isobel, Nora's 19 year old daughter from a previous relationship, are a close family that has had their share of heartbreak. After Nora's third miscarriage she is depressed and longing to fill the hole in her heart. When the doorbell rings one night, Nora opens the door to find a baby in a basket on their porch. In the basket, a note saying the baby's name is Daisy and to please take care of her. Nora instantly feels a connection to this little baby and Tom and Isobel agree to take care of Daisy until they can find out who left her on their doorstep. After a week of taking care of Daisy with no word from the police or anyone coming to claim her, Nora and Tom decide to keep Daisy and pass her off as the baby that they had miscarried. But just where did Daisy come from? And who are her parents?
This book was a quick read and a wild ride with a ton of twists and turns. Yes there are some parts that are a little unrealistic but it's a thriller, not a true crime book. Most of the book is told from Nora's POV but also switches to Isobel's narrative where we get another perception of what happened. The ending does end quite abruptly but I feel like it could definitely be led into a sequel. Definitely recommend reading if you're looking for a quick easy thriller read.
Thank you to NetGalley, L.G Davis, and Bookouture for this ARC. Expected release date is January 24th 2025.

Oh my! What a tangled mess! Just when you think you know what’s going on, you realize you don’t! Somebody has left a newborn baby at Nora’s and Tom’s front door. Nora and Tom had been desperately trying to have their own child, but Nora has just had her third miscarriage. So they make the decision to keep the baby and not tell the authorities, and Nora’s 19 year old daughter agrees to keep the secret too. Is it a bit odd that all three of them would be willing to go along with this scenario? At first, yes! But then we learn more about each of them and what is influencing their decisions. Wow! This story brings up so many ethical questions. There are many lies, secrets and deceit all under the guise of acting out of love. But how much do they really care about each other? There are lots of “holy crap” moments that kept me turning the pages. Great read! Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the digital ARC.

I will read anything Davis writes!
Stolen Baby by L.G. Davis grabbed me from the very beginning and didn’t let go until the end.
I loved the tension of this book, and the author captured the creepy feel.
I was hooked from the very beginning and COULD NOT put it down. There was so much to learn as you kept reading to learn more, so many characters had secrets and you don't know who to trust.
The twists, they didn't stop...it was bombshell after bombshell followed by plenty of jaw dropping moments that I wasn't expecting!

This one wasn't for me. I really disliked and writing style and the pace of Stolen Baby and found the main characters frustrating. However, I appreciate the opportunity to review it for you.

This had me gasping from the get go. Actually it had me doing this just reading through the blurb.
It's like a gathering storm. The black cloud ebbing closer, that angst feeling steadily growing.
And so many "oh" and "eeesh" moments. The twists and turns were incredible.
This is a psychological thriller at its best and it really really did delve deep Into the messed up pychy.
It also gave lots of womhat would you do questions. Becuase I could in a detached way that books allow, see myself as this woman and or think what the hell would I do!? Because evey step had you shocked but also empathetic of sight situations( if slightly exaggerated for the book)

I devoured this in one sitting! It was great! I felt that there were a lot of great twists. I see some people say how they couldn't stand the book because of some 'unrealistic' aspects. There's a reason it is fiction and not a true crime novel. I think that it was great- fast paced and entertaining. Will be reading more from L.G Davis!

This book was a psychological mess in the best way. There was so many twists and turns and OMG WTF moments. I loved having different characters’ points of view and the changing timeline was maddening and so informative at the same time. I wish the ending was less of a cliffhanger and more definite. I wanted the two characters at the end to have a different outcome. Overall 4.5 stars and I absolutely could not put this book down.

Can’t believe it has taken me so long to read one of this authors stories as this was a very good read. It had a very good storyline that may not be for everyone. I may have found some a bit far fetched but I read it in one sitting and would definitely recommend to others.

I enjoyed this book until the ending. I was disappointed in the cliffhanger. I did enjoy the suspense and it had me guessing who's baby it was. All in all, it was a good book.

This book was an emotional landmine. Be warned because this book is addictive. I literally sat down and read this book in one morning. This writer's pace is perfect which makes reading the book a breeze.

There is a baby in a basket on the doorstep of a family who recently lost a baby. What could possibly go wrong? Although I had no clue exactly where this story would land, I knew it was going to be daring, as well as disastrous. The clock starts ticking from the beginning pages as you anxiously await answers as to who this baby belongs to and how did baby Daisy end up on Tom and Nora's doorstep. I could not get enough, and I could not put it down. The characters are are somewhat likable, but I could not decide if I trusted them or not. If you enjoy a good domestic thriller, you will love this one.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Nora, her husband Tom, and her 19 year old daughter Isobel from a previous relationship are a family. But something is missing. Nora and Tom are desperate for a baby. After a couple miscarriages, and while saving up for IVF, Nora finds out she's pregnant again. Things look good until she wakes up in agony and is rushed to hospital, once again being told her daughter had no heartbeat. Just when she is at her lowest, Nora opens her front door to find a newborn baby and a note asking for her to look after the baby. Nobody knows she lost her baby, so Nora is sure that she can just pretend that this little girl is the child she gave birth to.

This one took me some time to get into. I've been unwell this week and I get emotional when I'm ill, so having had my share of miscarriages and a full term stillbirth, reading about Nora's losses and her pain had me needing to put the book down for a little while. However, once I properly started to read it, I couldn't put it down. I really ended up enjoying it, and I loved all the twists. I figured out a few of them, but there were others that surprised me.
My only issue with this one was the ending. It made the story feel unfinished, and I also felt like there were a couple of unanswered questions (mainly what was going on with Isobel's boyfriend Joe). But overall, it was a great read, and I'm excited to read more from this author.
