I was intrigued by the premise and on the whole the book was an ok easy read for me. It was quite unrealistic and just unbelievable at times but it did deliver some interesting twists. The ending was too abrupt and improbable. I would definitely give the next novel a try. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

Thank you to NetGalley, L.G. Davis, and Bookouture for the ARC of Stolen Baby! Here's my honest take:

This book was fun ride packed with secrets, lies, and twists that kept me glued to the pages. Seriously, where did this baby come from?

The story alternates between Nora's present-day POV and her teenage daughter Isobel's flashbacks. Nora's chapters set the stage, while Isobel’s unravel the past—and trust me, that’s where the real magic happens. As the pieces fell into place, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.

👍🏽 What I enjoyed:

✔️ Some of those twists and revelations had me gasping.
✔️ Isobel’s POV was where the book shined - a slow burn that ignited into a blazing fire of revelations.
✔️ The pacing: steady build-up, then an adrenaline rush.

👎🏽Not-so-favorite bits:

✖️ Nora. Her over-the-top anxiety had me rolling my eyes at times. Isobel often felt like the adult in their relationship, which was…odd.
✖️ The ending was a bit unbelievable making the build up feel excessive for what the ending turned out to be.

Overall, this was a fun read with an interesting premise. I don't think it was very memorable but taking the story for what it is, it was entertaining in the moment.

This book was outrageously ridiculous. At times I had a hard time continuing on because it felt so unrealistic - but I finished as I wanted to know the ending. This book wasn’t for me but that doesn’t mean it won’t be for someone else.

I recommend reading and demeaning on your own if it’s for you!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for my honest review.

LG Davis creates such relatable characters in her books, which I appreciate. I like reading a story where I can see myself in their place, feel what they might be feeling.

This book started off really well with a great back story and lots of suspense that steadily builds throughout the book. I was questioning everyone's motives and had to know how it ended. My suspicions on what was happening were wrong, of course.

But, to be honest, as it progressed, I found the story to be slightly cheesey and unrealistic, and I had to really suspend my beliefs to get through it.

Overall, it was an entertaining popcorn thriller with some great twists. I just think it had the potential to be so much better. From the reviews I've seen, many have liked it a lot, but it just wasn't for me.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Bookature for my gifted copy. My opinions are my own and my review voluntary.

From the moment I picked up Stolen Baby, I was captivated. The gripping plot, filled with lies and deceit, and the twists had me glued to the pages! I devoured the book in one go, staying up way to late, haha. L.G. What would you do if you found a newborn baby on your front porch? Nora and Tom don't notify the police. Instead, they decide to keep baby Daisy and raise her as their own. Everyone has secrets, and it's only a matter of time before they all come tumbling out.

This book was an easy read, and it was fairly predictable. The ending was definitely a surprise cliffhanger!

Stolen Baby by L.G. Davis is a psychological thriller that keeps readers on the edge of their seats, second-guessing everything they thought they knew. The story begins with a straightforward premise—an abandoned baby is found, and the mystery of where it came from and who its parents are takes center stage. As a reader, I thought I had the plot figured out, but like any great psychological thriller, the author skillfully throws in unexpected twists that completely reshape the narrative.

The suspense builds steadily, as Davis masterfully crafts a series of twists that keep the reader guessing, unable to put the book down. Each revelation is timed perfectly, providing just enough information to make you question your assumptions and dive deeper into the mystery.

What stands out about Stolen Baby is the author’s ability to balance tension and surprise, creating a rollercoaster of emotions. The unfolding drama and intricate plotting leave you stunned, unable to predict what will happen next. For fans of psychological thrillers, this book is an exhilarating ride from start to finish, with a satisfying and jaw-dropping conclusion that will leave readers thinking long after they’ve turned the final page.

Overall, Stolen Baby is a well-crafted psychological thriller that combines an intriguing mystery with compelling characters and shocking twists. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a gripping, fast-paced story that keeps you guessing until the very end."

If you like your thriller fast-paced and twisty, then read this!

Nora is heartbroken after a miscarriage and her mental health is at rock bottom. When she answers the door to find a newborn baby left with a note, she knows she should call the police, but just can't bring herself to do it. Especially as nobody yet knows about the loss of her baby and how easy it would therefore be to pass Daisy off as her own...

Nora's daughter, Isobel, has recently moved home after having a huge fall-out with her best friend and flatmate and, out of worry for her mother, agrees to keep the secret about the baby, along with her step-father Tom, who is happy to take on the role as father to baby Daisy.

Then tragedy strikes and Izzy's (former?) best friend is found dead. From this point, the twists start to drop in droves. Lies and secrets are unmasked, building to a tension filled cliffhanger of an ending. Wow!

5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, L. G. Davis and Bookouture, for an ARC in return for an honest review.

Nora has recently has a miscarriage. So when a baby girl is left on her porch one night, with a note asking for her to care for her baby, how could Nora refuse? The note said the baby's name was Daisy.

Nora and Tom Swanson have only been married for a few years. Nora has a grown-up daughter, Isabel. Nora has had quite a few miscarriages, so when the baby was left on her porch, it seemed like a blessing in disguise. So they decide to lie and say that the baby is theirs.

This story is told mainly from Nora's perspective, but there were some points of view from Izzy too. I was quickly pulled into this story and I couldn't put the book down. The characters are well-developed and they all have secrets. There were plenty of good twists. I loved how the story ended. It was definitely not what I was expecting.

I liked that this book, Stolen Baby by L.G. Davis, switched points of view giving you a more complete picture. The story centres around a mom, daughter and step-father. The daughter, Isobel is struggling with an eating disorder that she has beaten before but due to extreme stress in her life lately, has reared its ugly head again. The mother is to depressed to realize that her own daughter is struggling too, The mother had decided to undergo IVF with her husband after they decided they wanted a biological kid together (since Isobel is from a previous relationship). After the mom has lost 2 babies in a row, she slips into depression and doesn’t realize what is going on until it is almost too late. I found the pacing of this book to be a little slow for the beginning half of this book, then a climactic event occurs and second half of the book is a gripping telling of now each character deals with the fallout from that event.

Thank you to L.G. Davis and Bookouture for provide this ARC to NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

This was a fast paced thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. I do think you have to go into this with an open mind but remember it’s FICTION. 😆 The characters are unlikable (in a good way) and it draws you in so well that you just have to find out what happens. I do think there were unanswered questions by the end but still a great read!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fun one!

I always suspend disbelief for books like this. That’s not a knock on the book or the genre. I just find I enjoy them way more if I don’t over analyze every single detail.

Nora and Tom have been married for almost a decade. Nora has a daughter, Isobel. After suffering multiple miscarriages, a baby is left on their doorstep. Now they have to hide the baby from everyone they know while they figure out a plan. They also have to navigate their own secrets…

I don’t want to give too much away, because with these thrillers, the twists are the best part. This was a FAST read! Very satisfying! I’ll read these toes of books all day z!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC!
