This one started out too slow for me or maybe I didn’t give it enough of a chance - sorry! If I come back to it, I’ll update my review.

Okay…I loved this so much.
My favorite was that there was no third act breakup scene! It finally felt like this was almost a true life relationship! It was a little predictable and quirky, but overall this book was so cute!

Great author, very well written book!! Will be reading more from her without a doubt. I feel that this book is so underrated for what it is, definitely deserves much more attention!

What can I say about this book? Only In Your Dreams something exactly like that, a story one can only dream about from how perfect it was. Brother’s Best Friend, Forced Proximity, One Bed, SECOND CHANCE, all wrapped up in a beautiful tense, steamy love story. It had me giggling, aching, longing. It was absolutely perfect. If you want to know exactly how this book will feel, the song Rewrite the Stars sung by James Arthur and Anne-Marie is all that kept replaying in my head as I read.

I hadn't known anything about this book going into it other than it being a sports romance that it might be a little spicy. It looked cute, judging by the cover. Then I slowly started to hear about it on Instagram after release date. And still kept putting it off...
Finally, the day has come. I love the narrators for the audio, might end up doing both ebook and audio. (which I did)
I enjoyed the premise of the two main characters getting stuck at the campsite for several days to grow closer at the beginning.
After that, the back and fourth of he falls first and shes still getting over her ex seemed to go slow, I just wanted them to get together! Lol
The ex boyfriend that happened to keep coming around bugged the heck out of me! Like, take a hint, dude. But thats nothing against the book itself.
It was a cute book overall though, especially as they came together and figured out how to navigate telling their friends they were together.
I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

After a surprise breakup, Melody is back home in her hometown (in the middle of nowhere might I add) where she is havign to pretty much restart her life. And of course face Zac- her childhood crush and brothers best friend.
This book had everything I was looking for truly. It scratched every itch I had! The way they reunited was so good! Also instead of the "one bed trope" the tent sharing trope? LOVE. I love books where it is obvious the male character has always been into her and the female just tried to ignore it! I mean Zac was OBSESSED! (AND I ATE IT UP!) He is such a golden retriever, marshmallow type. He had the MOST green flags! Zac was my favorite part of the book!
My least favorite part was the miscommunication. They made up for it and rekindled things but it was still a little painful.
Overall a 4.5 out of 5!

A Dreamy Escape with Emotional Depth
Only in Your Dreams by Ellie Wilde is a beautifully written story that blends romance, nostalgia, and self-discovery with just the right touch of magic. The concept—where dreams blur into reality—is handled with a light but meaningful hand, and the emotional moments hit hard in all the right places.
Wilde’s writing is lyrical without being overdone, and her characters feel authentic, especially the main character who’s navigating love, loss, and the weight of what-ifs. It’s the kind of book that pulls you in slowly and leaves you thinking about the characters long after the final page.
One star off only because the pacing lags a bit in the middle, and some side characters could’ve been more fleshed out. But overall, Only in Your Dreams is a heartfelt, imaginative read that leaves a lingering sense of wonder.
Perfect for fans of soft romance with a twist of the surreal.

This was my first sports romance read about racing, but since reading this one, I’ve been OBSESSED! Given that I’m so incredibly late to this review, I’ll keep it brief.
The two protagonists have all my heart! I love their love, it made turning the page an exciting adventure where I didn’t know what would happen next.
Thank you for the chance to read this and for introducing me to this new genre of sports romance!

Thank you to NetGalley for a free eArc in exchange for an honest review.
I honestly don’t know how to put my thoughts into words for this book. The prologue hooked me right away, only for it to unravel immediately after. There were moments that I liked and some things I hated. A lot of plot points were kind of useless to the story and some of them could’ve been capitalized on (but weren’t). I did enjoy the characters at least… overall it wasn’t worth it.

This was suuuuper fun! And well balanced considering the book starts off with a break up.
I loved the history between the characters - it didn’t feel as fraught as most second chance romance books, which I really appreciated.
Can’t wait to read more from this author and series!

This was a pretty good sports romance! I really liked Melody, and thought she was an interesting and relatable main character. I also really liked Zac, and the chemistry between Melody and Zac was very well done. The side characters were fun, and I especially liked Brooks (so I'm excited to see more of him in the next book)! Overall, I would recommend this book :)

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this, the first half the most when they were stranded. Melody and Zac are adorable and I loved how obsessed he was with making her see how perfect they were together.
I do think this showed a good example of how horrible emotionally abusive relationships are and how damaging it can be.

This was an okay read. There were parts where I was confused, and parts where I was straight up not with the characters. I think the book and the author have a lot of potential and one can only go up from here!

I am a sucker for the He Falls First trope and Zac did not disappoint in this one. Zac has been in love with, Melody, his best friend's sister for 14 years - even though they stopped talking 10 years prior due to miscommunication and crappy timing after Zac and Melody's brother graduated high school.
Fast forward a decade and Melody is back home after dealing with the fallout of a 6 year relationship with a manipulative and emotionally abusive boyfriend. I loved how supportive Zac was to Melody as she started to fix herself after her breakup. How he consistently showed up for her and in turn, she did the same. They became each other's constant. Green flags everywhere! The spice was hot and there was no third act break up.

Thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for this eARC. Only in Your Dreams is out now.

The slow burn in "Only in Your Dreams"by Ellie K. Wilde was masterfully done. The first 60% of the book had hardly any spice, but when it did pick up... it definitely went up from there! The gradual build-up made the later scenes even more satisfying. Ellie K. Wilde has crafted characters that are easy to root for. The pacing dragged in a few spots, but picked up enough for me to remain happy!
This book is perfect for those looking for fans of second chances, small towns, sports, and "always been you" tropes.

This book was sweet and hit all the feels! I really did like Zac and Melody. Also enjoyed all the side characters as well and I hope we get to hear more from each of them as well! My only complaint is that there were too many spicy scenes, so it got a bit repetitive and honestly I personally just wanted to get back to the story. Some of those scenes could have been cut out and it would have made it a more manageable romance. My opinion is most romances are best when kept under 350 pages! However, that would be my only complaint. I loved the sweetness and the growth from each character!
Thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for an eARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

I really enjoyed this book!!! I thought it was really cute, and i loved the twist on the fake dating trope.
The friends were super fun additions. Zac and Melody had fun chemistry and always love me some second chance romance, friends to lovers. The sneaking around was so funny but I also really love Zac’s relationship with Noah and the rapport the three of them have at the house.
Parker and his twin friendship with Melody is great and I hope to see more of him in any other books in the series.

I absolutely loved this book! I am such a fan of light-hearted, fun sports romance books like ICEBREAKER, and this one met all of my expectations.

Thanks so much for the copy! This was a book i requested based on the cover and it didn't disappoint! This is a new author to me, and i cannot wait to read what comes next.
