This was a really sweet, fun story. It did start slow, but it had a cute romance and and a perfect ending.

This was charming and sweet! Our main character Tabi has aspirations of being a royal character actress at the park but 'doesn't look the part'. The cast of characters in this graphic novel were all easy to root for and the art itself is dynamic and bright and colorful. I loved the messages that readers will get from this story and I hope they will learn from Tabi's optimism and love.

Thank you to Net Galley for the Advance Copy.
Tabitha Laurie was 6 years old when her parents got divorced. She thought that she would never believe in True Love again. Until her dad took her on a trip to Sommerland(think Disneyland) where she asked her favorite princess all about it. Being reassured that True Love really did exist, she set out to eventually work at Sommerland! And now is her chance! A senior in high school, she gets accepted into the Sommerland High School Summer Program. Although she really wants to be a character actress, she gets stuck at a nacho stand. Making new friends, and having a new crush, and just trying to make it through the summer.
A feel good story to its core, Marissa Meyer's writing has a way of just sucking you write in (Get it??? Ha!) and with Joelle Murray bringing the scenes and story alive through her art it really is a beautiful and intrancing graphic novel.

Tabi is excited to start her dream job at Sommerland, having always dreamed of being cast as one of the princess characters—though she doesn’t quite “fit” the park’s idea of a princess.
I love the body positivity, the discussions around it, and the overall magic this book brings. I would have loved reading this growing up. I also adored the sprinkle of romance—it wasn’t the star of the show, and that’s all the better for it. Instead, we get to focus on Tabi and watch her evolve as a character. Not only does she talk about how much she’s wanted this dream, but she’s actively working toward it. Her love for Sommerland and the magic it brings truly jumps off the page.
Additionally, the artwork is wonderful! It’s bright and colorful, perfectly capturing the magic. I’ve always loved Marissa Meyer, and this book certainly doesn’t disappoint.

Absolutely beautiful. I loved every moment of this story. Disney fans will adore this graphic novel. Definitely a must read.

This was such a fun graphic novel not only about following your dreams but being yourself and loving who you are. We Could Be Magic was such a cool concept that I've seen done before but the FMC offered a new perspective as someone who fantasized about achieving dreams that seemed to be dashed. I really liked the relationships between the characters and I think that it offered good conversations about love and identity

This is an adorable story! The drawing is super cute and the coloring is bright and dazzling!
I loved the idea of a fairytale with the park of fairytales! A great story for fans of a certain brand of princess stories and theme parks.

Tabi is a new Sommerland employee determined to make her dreams come true, she hits a few snags along the way but from the help of a few friends, and a new crush, she finds that the magic has been with her all along.
We Could Be Magic was a fun graphic novel filled with hope and determination. The story was solid and uplifting even though some parts felt a little rushed. This novel would be so much fun for any Disney Park fan, young or old. We Could Be Magic was such a breath of fresh air compared to the traditional young adult genre in recent years. (In my opinion).

This was a cute read. I really enjoyed the art style, and I adored Tabi. I just wish her relationship with James was flushed out a bit more. I wanted more from them ending as well, but I'll definitely be purchasing this for the collection.

This was such a charming, romantic, sweet story that any Disney kid who believes in fairy tales will enjoy. Tabi has grown up watching fairytale movies created by Sommerland Studios, and as a teenager she gets the opportunity to work at Sommerland as a summer intern. It feels like getting a behind the scenes look at working at Disney World, and the reader feels immersed in Tabi's goal of becoming a princess and the joy of creating magic.
I loved the love interest, the character development, and the happily ever after that wrapped it all up. This was terrific!

With the exact right mixture of fluff and substance, We Could Be Magic is a heartwarming tale of a young black teen working at a princess-themed theme park (when you buy Disney World from TEMU), with the dream of becoming one of the princess actors. Things don't quite go Tabi's way but she's thrilled for the chance to work her dream job anyway. I loved everything about this graphic novel. Beautiful coloring, smart plot lines, clever banter, and the warm and fuzzy feeling of sitting by the fire with a nice cup of cocoa.

Do you know or have a Disney obsessed child, who dreams about being a real Disney princess or even just working in a theme park for the summer? Well, then this book would be perfect… almost. The reason I say “almost” is because the book is set at Sommerland park, a Disney knock off. To be honest, I wish the author would have used the Disney name to make the story more authentic. I will still promote in my classroom, but it will be interesting to see how my students feel about the story.

This book has such a positive message I’m so happy it’ll be in the hands of teens who need a bit of magic in their lives. I absolutely loved all the Disney parallels down to the small details of the hidden kitties imitating the hidden mickeys. I really liked the ending of the book. I like that we got to see growth with Tabi’s roommate throughout the book. James is the sweetest and absolutely deserves the world. The illustrator did an amazing job.

This was adorably sweet and perfect for teens who love Disney magic (although the park in this book is Sommerland, not Disneyland, the similarities are quite a lot).

this is the perfect for fans of Pumpkinheads, Disney, and anyone with a deeply sentimental side to which I am all and, yes, I cried. Tabi is so empowering, realistic, and such a beacon for everyone with a dream in their hearts

Absolutely enchanting and wonderful! I adored this, no one makes magic like Marissa Meyer!!! Its perfect for fans of Pumpkinheads!

This is an absolutely magical graphic novel set in a Disney World-esque theme park where a girl dreams of being a princess cast member at the park after being inspired by the love and wonder as a child immediately after her parents' divorce. The passion she has is so infectious, and it was so beautiful to follow her story. The love story was also extremely cute, and I can't wait to recommend this to teens.

A magical and sweet adventure that gives strong Disney vibes!
Every illustration captures the magic of the story in an eye-catching and endearing way. Definitely a nostalgic read for any Disney college program alum or an inspiration for DCP hopefuls.
I love this read. It was easy, not complicated, while still having big feelings and big plot points. It felt good to watch the main character grow up and realize that passion alone will not help us achieve our dreams, we have to put in the time, effort, and determination to make your dreams happen. And sometimes even when we work hard and make things happen, our dream still isn't right for us. So we have to change our dream and refocus, make things happen.
What a story. Absolutely enamored with the whole book.

Oh I thought this was just SO sugary sweet!!! The book itself was obviously giving Disney vibes and finding magic and love, which was really cute. I really liked James and Tabi together and loved the way they both just wanted to find the magic in their jobs, even when everyone else didn't. And even as Tabi began seeing that the job *isn't* always all that magical, she still loved and truly believed she was making a difference and that, one day, her dream would be realized. The art style was also really cute as well and matched the vibe of the story perfectly. There's one panel towards the end that I especially liked and will be so happy to see in the physical book. Overall, this was an adorable graphic novel. My main complaint is just that I wish it was a teensy bit longer so that the story didn't have to move quite as fast as it did, but that's a minor gripe and I really loved reading this!

This was 100% magical.
I loved how magic is captured throughout the story, from production magic to magic that is made organically every day. I loved the strong fmcs, authentic friendships, and love seamlessly portrayed. This is A+ story and character building!
