I really enjoyed this book, I personally didn't find the surrogacy plot line offensive or that weird, but I can totally see why some people may not be okay with it and to them I say move on to a different book. I really loved the small-town, close-knit/found family feel, Wyatt's niece Evie plays a big part in getting things in motion and I thought it was so sweet how close she was with her uncles! It is an age gap romance which I don't really love but it was only 10 years and was not a super central plot line, plus she was in her late 20s and he in his late 30s, which feels a lot better than when the girl is like in university and in her early 20s. Wyatt is a possessive, older, alpha male, the quintessential quiet, territorial, mountain man! BUT he had tattoos, so that just made him even better! Overall, I really enjoyed Trista, there were a few things that she did/said that were a little too ridiculous for me and is why I couldn't give this a 5-star review. If they had been cut, then this easily would have hit 5 stars for me! First, she compared a pillow's softness to a baby's foreskin, she clarifies that she's never touched one but adults are so she assumes a babys would be. It was just so weird and unnecessary! She also kept referring to herself as a cow whenever she was trying to detach from the surrogacy, it just felt so off for a plus size lady who talks about how hard she's worked to be confident in her body but admits to still having insecurities, to refer to herself as a cow. Like I know she enjoys animals but I feel like being called a cow is triggering for every women but especially plus sized ladies!

I really enjoyed this story! I thought the 'wanna be' single dad trope was done well and I loved these characters. Can't wait to read more from Daws!

I absolutely loved this book. It was so cute and the chemistry between Wyatt and MB was so good. I loved that it showed the relationship between the whole family and that we got to see Waverly all grown up

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This was an engaging read! I enjoyed the plot and would read it again.

This is a solid 4 star read filled with hilarious banter. I loved the characters in the story. Even the minor characters felt important and memorable. At times Trista's struggles felt a little repetitive, but not in a way that discouraged me from continuing. The ending was great. I love how the author wrapped it up and then gave us a peak ubto the next book. This is a very steamy romcom. Thank you NetGalley and Canary Street Press for the ARC and opportunity to provide an honest review.

This one was overall fun to read. The surrogate/single dad aspect of the plot was unlike any romance I’ve read before. I loved the small town mountain setting and the meddling family. I liked the two main characters but felt like the grumpy MMC was a bit too controlling at times. The pacing of this book felt a little bit slow and I didn’t love what the author did for the brother’s past issues. I really liked how the author wrapped it all up in the last 20% of the book. Overall, not my favorite read but a fun enjoyable one! Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy!

While I ultimately enjoyed the story, I do have some mixed feelings about this one. There were several things that bothered me, as well as many things that I really liked.
I don’t want to get too negative, but let’s briefly cover the things I didn’t like first. There was some word usage that didn’t really work for me (the word “jizz” is used A LOT, and Trista refers to herself as a “cow” constantly). I also found Wyatt to be a little sexist. And finally, I found it really jarring that the first female POV chapter was from Everly, Wyatt’s niece, immediately following someone at the surrogacy agency asking Wyatt if there was a family member that could act as a surrogate for him. I had to stop reading and go back to check the blurb to make sure there was a different surrogate.
OK, now for the things I did like.
I really liked that Wyatt’s family is so close, and that after Wyatt got over himself and let Trista talk to his brothers, they proved they would do anything for Trista as well.
While Wyatt can be sexist and possessive, he is also a bit of a marshmallow when it comes to the people he loves. He dotes on Everly and wants to spoil Trista.
Trista is strong, despite a lot of emotional baggage that she carries around from her neglectful parents. She continually insists that she is fine, even when she isn’t. But her heart is huge, especially when it comes to needy animals.
And the animals are really the best part. I laughed at the animal tally at the beginning of most of the chapters.
While there were some bumps along the way, from a reader perspective, Wyatt and Trista still really worked as a couple and their romance was believable (minus the initial insemination scenes). I am continuing the series and look forward to Calder’s and Luke’s stories as well.
Disclaimer: I received an eARC for review consideration though NetGalley, on behalf of the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was such a cute read and totally lived up to my high expectations! I loved Wyatt and Trista! Can't wait for more from Daws!

I was in a mood for a good pregnancy trope and the surrogacy aspect of this book put a nice twist to it. I do have to say that while I loved both of the main characters this story and the characters were a little cringy. That being said I still loved it and could not put it down.

Thanks to the publisher for giving me an advanced reader copy. My mood isn't allowing me to enjoy this book as much I think I would normally. I would read more from this author.

Wyatt has been burned by past relationships so is untrusting but longing to be a father. When Wyatt's brothers take out an ad for a surrogate, Trista is who shows up. She's not interested in a relationship either so they draw up a contract and move forward with the surrogacy. They predictably begin to fall for one another as the pregnancy progresses. This book at me laughing out loud. A fun, close proximity romance.

Nine Month Contract delivers exactly what you’d expect from Amy Daws: witty banter, lovable side characters (including a scene-stealing goat), and a grumpy/sunshine romance that hits plenty of emotional beats. The chemistry between Trista and the gruff mountain man is undeniable, and their dynamic is both heartwarming and hilarious.
That said, I struggled a bit with the surrogacy plotline. Trista’s change of heart about having kids felt a little too fast and convenient, especially considering how adamant she was in the beginning. It made some of her choices feel rushed, and the overall pacing of the story wobbled in a few places.
Still, the book had a lot of heart, and I genuinely enjoyed the ride. If you’re in the mood for a quirky, emotionally-charged small-town romance with a unique premise and a whole lot of charm, this one's worth picking up—just be prepared to suspend a little disbelief.

I am certain that Amy Daws cannot write a bad book! This was exactly what I was needing from her. I cannot wait to read what she puts out next!

This was such a fun read, and I couldn’t help but finish it in a day. The banter, the characters, the animals, it was so good. I’m ready to move to the mountains now

It was a no for me.
The surrogacy part made me really uncomfortable. I’ve had several friends become surrogates and they are doing amazing things by giving someone the gift of life. It felt like it cheapened the actual act itself. Would’ve much rather preferred an accidental pregnancy trope to this.

A original rom com is hard to come by these days, but this one was exactly that! Also, this book was hilarious and romantic in the best way! I love this author!!

The set up was unique. Wyatt is ready to be a father, but doesn't have a wife/girlfriend/partner in the picture, so he turns to a surrogate agency. Obviously, this isn't going to work, because we would have no story. The agency was painted as a fussy, "higher than thou" type of place that was unable to match Wyatt because he's a rugged mountain man with no family. Just not a good bet.
In steps his almost an adult niece, who decides to help her favorite uncle find the perfect match. She in fact runs into Trista at the very same agency, where Trista was rejected as a surrogate, and it's a match made in heaven!
Wyatt and Trista are pretty hilarious together. Wyatt, the grump in this story, is very set in his ways, very strong, somewhat controlling... where a sunshine Trista is just that, sunshine and happiness. She brings light into Wyatt's life as well as a barn full of animals.
It's a pretty sweet pairing. I enjoyed the build of their relationship, learning about Wyatt's brothers, and Trista's history. There's definitely room for more there.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC. All opinions are my own.

SO FUNNY!!! So many of my friends were reading this so I got FOMO… so glad I managed to snag a copy this was so fun to read!! What a delight 💕

So I am one of the lucky ones - I read this beautiful book from Amy when she was an indie author, and now I have gotten to read it again after she's been picked up by Harper Collins - Canary Street Press and when I say it feels like such an honor? I truly mean that!
I find myself just completely enjoying and loving this book - from the opening with the wanted add, to the banter between brothers, the love and protectiveness that they have for their niece. To ultimately every single thing about Trista - from how she and Everly meet, to how she meets Wyatt, to her "interview" with him, and everything that followed - I just absolutely adore her. She's gorgeous, she's witty, she's determined to show up them all, and she's SO very loving. Her kindness shows through everything and the way she and Wyatt naturally grow together absolutely blows me away.
I just love these mountain men and their special family, and can hardly wait for Calder's book!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Amy Daws, and Harlequin Trade Publishing for this e-arc in exchange for my honest review!

This is everything I could have wanted. It was so cute. I was hesitant at first because it is such a wild concept, but Amy sure didn't disappoint.
