Jen wakes up in a bedroom she doesn’t recognize, with no memory of who she is or how she got there. The pain in her body and the confusion in her mind leave her terrified. The only fragments of memory she has are of her husband and baby, but when she asks about them, the woman who claims to be her sister, Rachel, calmly tells her they never existed. Rachel informs Jen that she has been in a coma for six month due to a car accident and that Rachel and her at home nurse, Bryce, have been caring for her during her coma. Understandably, Jen can't help but feel suspicious and her instincts tell her something doesn’t add up. As Jen tries to make sense of her situation, her ability to trust those around her becomes more and more compromised with a growing sense that everyone is hiding something. With each passing day, Jen becomes more certain that the life Rachel describes isn’t the truth - and that the answers she’s desperately searching for might be far darker than she could ever imagine.

Overall, I enjoyed this booked! It was a thrilling mystery that kept me hook with its unexpected twists and revelations. I appreciated its fast paced writing and I liked Jen as the main character. It was fun trying to determine what was real and what was a lie as pieces of Jen’s story continued to unfold. There were aspects of the story that I did struggle with, including the fact that somehow Jen was able to remain in a coma for six months in her own home rather than in a hospital. Then, once Jen woke up, the fact that she was fairly quickly able to walk around and ride her bike had me raising my eyebrows a bit. Realistically, Jen would have needed intensive physical therapy due to muscle atrophy and neurological damage. But, by suspending belief on a few improbable details, I was able to enjoy the overall plot of the book and read it fairly quickly. Once the truth started to unfold, I found the reality of Jen’s story to be slightly lackluster and unrealistic regarding how everyone in her life acted before and after the accident. In the end though, justice was served and for that I was grateful. If you enjoy fun and easy popcorn thrillers with questions around ever corner, then I would recommend Everyone Is Lying as your next read.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read to an ARC of Everyone Is Lying in return for my honest review.

Everyone Is Lying is a 3.5⭐️ rounded up to 4⭐️
Jen has just awoken from being in a six month coma, she can’t recall why she’s where she is or who anyone is. When a woman comes through the bedroom door telling her she’s her sister she has no option but to believe her. Jen senses she has a child and maybe a husband but she is told she has neither. Jen starts to get stronger as. Can eventually take little steps so she searches her house for a clue she had a child but she finds non. Her next door neighbour tells her not to trust her carer. Who is she and are these people really who they say they are?
This was a good read but I feel I didn’t really get into it till about half way when things started to slot into place as more was revealed. There were a few twists I didn’t expect and the ending was worth getting to and didn’t disappoint at all and I didn’t guess it was going to end like that at all.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.

This book was insane, in the best way possible. I was constantly questioning what I thought was going on and there were some really great twists and turns. I feel like a lot of thrillers are predictable but this one was so well written, I was genuinely in shock at times.

This story centered around Jen awaking from a coma after six months with no memory, and her journey to recover her memories about her life and what happened to her.

I will say this book took me a little while to get into, but the last third of the book where more information comes together really kept me interested and I didn't want to put it down. I was slightly disappointed with the reasons behind all of the lies and deception, but really loved the ending and Jen's determination to discover the truth.

Thank you to Bookouture and Netgalley for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

It took me a little while to get into this book at the beginning, but once Jen was able to get out of bed and move around herself, the story picked up.

The slow pace helped set the scene—I was curious about Jen’s accident, whether she was really in her own house, and if the people around her were who they claimed to be. The mystery kept me engaged, but around the final third of the book, when the reasons behind all the lies were revealed, some of the twists felt a little wild. However, I did really enjoy the ending. It tied everything together well!

Overall, this was an easy, enjoyavle read and a great starting point for anyone looking to get into the thriller genre.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

This book was such a whirlwind and it had me hooked! There are so many unknowns and unanswered questions. I liked how the story unraveled a little at a time because it kept me so interested. There are so many secrets and shocking revelations revealed. Just when you think you know everything, more secrets come to light and the book ends with another twist!

Summary:
Jen wakes up in bed, not knowing anything about herself or where she is. Then a woman enters the bedroom. She says she is her sister and that she has been in an accident. Jen tries to find out where she is or who she is but her sister skilly evades her questions. Jen knows something is wrong. When she ask about her husband and child, her sister says she doesn’t have them.

What an enjoyable book! From the first page, you are sucked into the story and you wonder what happened.
Just like the main character, one moment you think someone can be trusted and the next moment something happens that makes you doubt again. You keep guessing for a long time. When the truth comes out, at first I thought it was a strange story. Later, more becomes clear and it makes more sense.

I thought it was a very exciting book and hard to put down. You just want to keep reading and find out what happened.
Even though the story takes place mostly in her house, it is really exciting and a lot happens.
I would definitely recommend this book.

Everyone Is Lying by Holly Down had me hooked from the very first page. The story begins with the main character waking up with no memory of who she is or what has happened to her. From the moment I learned she couldn’t remember anything about her life, I felt the same disorienting confusion and panic she was experiencing. The uncertainty of her situation—being told her husband and baby don’t exist—was incredibly gripping. I couldn’t stop reading to figure out what was really going on.

What I loved most about this book was how the tension slowly built. As the protagonist begins to uncover strange and unsettling details, I found myself questioning everything right alongside her. The way she doubts the truth of her sister’s explanations and starts discovering clues was incredibly suspenseful. The atmosphere of paranoia and mistrust kept me on edge, and I was constantly wondering if anyone could be trusted.

The twist at the end completely blindsided me. Just when I thought I had a handle on the story, Down throws in a jaw-dropping revelation that made everything click into place. It’s one of those twists that completely changes the way you see the entire book.

If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers with unreliable narrators and shocking twists, Everyone Is Lying is a must-read. It was a fast-paced, intense, and utterly addictive experience that kept me guessing until the very end. Highly recommended!

Great book with lots of twists and turns. I did figure some of the story out but I never fully managed to work it all out.

The only downfall is I’d of liked a longer ending like I wanted to know what happened afterwards, it just felt very abrupt

Overall though a good plot and well written

I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Everyone Is Lying". I was easily captivated into reading from the first page. The tension, suspense and unexpected twists throughout the entire book, made this book a quick page turner for me. Just when I thought I had it figured out, there would be a new shocking twist. The characters were described greatly to the reader for helpfulness of understanding their personality/flaws. The ending was absolutely brilliant!! Looking forward to reading more books by Holly Down in the future!

I absolutely loved this one and stayed up late each night as I couldn't stop reading! It begins with a horrific car crash and Jen awakens in what she believes to be the hospital but soon realizes it's her own bedroom and she has amnesia. When she questions sister Rachel about her husband and daughter, she is told they don't exist and she's been in a coma for 6 months. Fortunately she has a caregiver, Bryce there to take care of her but as she begins to regain her memories things don't add up. This is one of those novels that may haunt you--in a good way!
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture Publishing for providing me with an ARC of Everyone is Lying.

Jen just woke up from a coma. She has no idea who she is or where she is. Eventually, her sister tells her she has been in a bad accident and the baby and husband she thought she had doesn't exist.

Throughout this book, Jen questions everyone and everything because she has no clue about anything without her memory. She doesn't know a friend or foe, lie or truth.

Holly Down definitely has everyone questioning their own minds as they read this. Some authors lay breadcrumbs for you, and you eventually get an inkling about what is happening. I questioned everyone and everything said up until she laid it out on a platter for me. I gave it 4.5 rounded to 5 because there were a few things that seemed a little far-fetched to me in the story but overall an enjoyable read that kept me on the edge of my seat. I need more from this author asap.

A new author for me and was not disappointed although I have read a few books with the amnesia theme

I found it a bit slow at first but it then 'picked' up and I soon got involved in the storyline. It wasn't exactly a page turner for me but a good read overall

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC which I would recommend.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read for me, keeping me guessing the whole way through. The author wrote in a way where it was nearly impossible to guess what was happening. The main character, Jen spent just about the entire book questioning who was being honest with her and who was "good" and "bad" and so did I. I was drawn in from the beginning and couldn't wait to get answers and the twists continued right until the very last page. Looking forward to reading the author's other book soon!

This book had me totally confused and I didn't have a clue who was lying, who was telling the truth, and who knew what was going on. I must admit that I didn't see the plot twist coming, but I'm not disappointed at all. I binged this book because I wanted to know what truly happened and it did not disappoint.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.
