As a mother and the owner of a reptile store I am obsessed with this book. This is so absolutely darling. The wholesomeness that is So-Hee's love for Lowy is amazing. And her mom just allowing her to get a snake because that 's the pet she chose is perfect. We loved the illustrations and the vibrant colors. And the story line is easy for kids to understand, my seven year old was even able to read some of it to me! I cannot wait to add this to our home collection and maybe even have some in my store.

This was adorable. I loved the illustrations. This would be perfect for any child but especially for a child who feels left out due to pet allergies. I especially love the community aspect of the neighbors, maybe the next book could include some of them!

So-Hee is lonely. She really wants a pet, but is allergic to furry critters. What will she do? She finds a non-furry pet: a snake she names Lowy and they are the best of friends, but then Lowy disappears! On her search for Lowy she finds some unexpected things and people in her apartment building. The illustrations are very cute and it's a sweet story about thinking outside of the box and being open to new things.

Thanks to Anna Kang, Two Lions, and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book, it is a wonderful story about friendship and differences and has a really positive message - as a mum I thought it was spot on!

I loved the way that the story was written, it was easy to follow and had a great flow. The characters are great and the illustrations in the book were spot on and brought the story to life. My daughter read the book to me and had no issues with the wording, she really enjoyed the story and has written it down in her reading journal for school.

My daughter is at Primary School and has recently had a day on anti-bullying where they were encouraged to wear odd socks to embrace the fact that everyone is different and unique in their own way, and this book was a great read for us as a follow up to that and it is really what the story embraces and celebrates too - I will definitely be recommending this as a book that the school looks to get a copy of as it will be great for talking points.

It is 5 stars from me for this one - very highly recommended!

The standout here was the illustrations. The story was very cute too, but a little disjointed at parts.

I loved this wee tale of finding authentic friendships where you can be your true self. Find friends who match your energy, even if it's a snake! Well, that's not exactly the lesson here, but I loved the message that would make people less alone. Kids can feel really left out when they are different — physical, biological, mental, or even personality differences. This was a great tale affirming that human connection is still possible, no matter how much you feel like you don't belong.
What took the cake for me was the illustrations – so vivid, so vibrant, so on-fleek.
