The first thing I must say is that 5 stars are not enough. This book was amazing and such a fun read. I devoured it and did not want to put it down! The characters and the family/friends are so much fun to read about. I can't wait for the next in the series!

I loved this book! I have not read the Renovation Romance series where Vale and Sloan are introduced, but it was easy to fall into their story and fall in love with them. I will definitely have to go back and read that series because now I NEED to know the story of Jaz and Brax as well as the others. The journey Vale and Sloan go through had me in tears a couple times but I was also swooning so hard at some of Vale’s gestures. These two are perfect for each other and you will love their story as well.
Update - I have now read the whole Renovation series and LOVED it. Definitely read them all. You will fall in love with all the characters and their stories.

Sloan needs help and as her and Vale continue to talk things continue to spiral. They finally get to the point of being married which causes so much chaos. I liked their story as they finally figure out they are meant for each other. A great story.

Second in a series - didnt know that- but can be read as a stand alone Vale and Sloan are friends who get married cause she needs medical insurance he's a hot hockey player with a plan (a literal insurance plan) so after some back and forth they do the deed-- i mean get married in Vegas - how will they handle a fake marriage (BTW, they live with her sister and his brother who are married as well as a few other team members) do they have real feelings for each other or they just playing along to get Sloan the meds she needs? It's a fun light read- definitely gonna go back and read #1 and will read the next one

Grace Worthington has done it again! So far I never read a book by her that didn't sweep me away with the best storytelling and hold me spellbound with the sweetest romance. Vale and Sloane's story had been suggested in the Roommate Remodel and I had every hope their romance would be as charged as every look they shared in that book, and as I am sure you are already guessing, the author delivered a book that had the sweetest of Cinnamon Roll MMC who is willing to risk all for his best friend and get her the care, and love, she richly deserves. This best friends to lovers, accidental marriage, marriage of convinence romance has a new favorite micro-tropes of "My Wife" and "My Husband" that just had me melting on the inside each time that sentiment was voiced because it was code for 'I love You' every time it was said. And wow could Vale deliver that line so well in an almost toe curling way....sigh. And Sloane just tore my heart apart, she has gone through so much to lead her to Vale and watching her grow into that realization is for me the heart of what makes the most successful romances...the ones where love grows so quietly that the moment it blooms just eclipses everything that happens around it. This is a happy ending made all the sweeter for the journey that led to it!

Please Note: This is a sweet, clean, closed door romance that has all the feels of passion that Sloane and Vale have for each other but none of the details.

Me encantó.

This is a closwd door, clean and wholesome romcom. I'd rate it PG if it were a movie.

I loved how this Marriage of Convenience was handled. It showed the importance of commitment and what marriage is truly about: the relationship between two people (the emotional, social, and the spiritual connections) not only the physical attraction.

I love the depth of emotion and struggle to change the patterns shown them by their parents. I really love how Grace showed Sloan struggled with feeling worthy of such attention and love.

Vale is the biggest, coolest, cinnamon roll. The hockey-player side characters are great and fun.

There are no swears, no alcohol, and level 2 descriptive kisses only. Dual POV
Awesome Job Grace!

Wow! This is such a fantastic starry to a new series, but I recognized characters from the Roommate Remodel and that added so much for me but isn’t necessary to read first. I adore Vale and Sloan. Vale is so sweet and swoony and is the first to admit his feelings in the great marriage of convenience romance. It is a book I didn’t want to put down, it drew me in from the beginning, the hilarious banter, swoony kisses, the tension, it is a book I am sure you will love like I do!

This is NOT the first book in a series. The previous book is about the fmc’s sister and the mmc’s brother. The MCs met at the beginning of it and that’s when their story started 😭😤

This was such an ugly move to market this as a first book. It’s like making someone read Marrying Winterborne but not telling them about Cold-Hearted Rake, iykyk. On top of that this book was filled with cameos. It was like being on a party where everyone knows everyone and I’m just standing awkwardly in the corner because I’m the only stranger.

We meet the MCs when they wake up in one bed in a hotel in Vegas. Nothing happened! I mean they got married, but otherwise - nothing. They are in love, but staying in the friend zone because of reasons. The official reason to get married is not love, the love part is unofficial for now.

I would have probably enjoyed this book if it wasn’t for the reasons listed above. The writing was decent and the chemistry between the MCs was good too. Vale was very sweet and it was obvious that he was crazy about Sloan.

It was maybe a little too clean for my tastes (they’re married ffs, let them have some fun!), but that’s a minor thing, the emotions were done well and even the third act was handled nicely. I wouldn’t even call it a breakup, maybe a short freak out but not more than that.

Highly recommended for people who read the previous books!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I read this book as a standalone. While I eventually understood all the aspects, it was a little confusing at some points. I loved the characters but felt like overall, chemistry was missing from them. I also found all the antics outrageous and unbelievable and it took away from the story. Overall a solid read if you’re a fan or marriage of convenience and closed door romances.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc.

This was a dual POV friends to lovers/marriage of conscience.

I liked the characters but felt it was really dragged out and repetitive, not for me.
