I have really enjoyed all of Chelsea Handlerโs books that Iโve read so far and I loved this one.
I thought it was such a good blend of humor and the great life advice I have found she is so good at giving โ not always directly, but usually simply via the stories she tells. Stories that are at times relatable and at other times so outrageous I figure they just have to be made up.
Sometimes the stories made me laugh and sometimes they made me tear up โ but they always made me think, and usually think about how I can continue to strive to be the type of person I want to be, just like Chelsea mentioned about herself through the book.
If youโve read her books before or youโve thought her books wouldnโt be for you โ I encourage you to pick this one up. It is worth a read!

I have read all of Ms. Handlers books and this was such a different book than what she normally writes. You could feel her change it was a breath of fresh air beautifully written and just so much heart put into it. When I opened this book I expected the sparky usual Chelsea because that has always been her but what I read was a far cry from that Chelsea the growth she has made is simply beautiful. As a person with their own mental health struggles and therapy seeker it for sure gave me hope that my own journey is not a waste that even if its slowly going I can find a passive outcome. Just wow so proud of her and her growth!!

I love Chelsea Handlers books and look forward to each new release. The latest has Ms. Handler's famous one=-lines and is laugh out funny. I read it in two sittings loved every page. In this book, the author seems to take a more philosophical stance and discusses friendship, loyalty, being true to oneself, the value of self-reflection and meditation. She credits therapy with her more centered, relaxed approach to life. Luckily for the reader, her zany antics remain (skiing naked downhill) and and she is always entertaining. Highly recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an advance reading copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review. I initially expected a book packed with comedy sketches, but was pleasantly surprised to find it to be more autobiographical in nature. This was my first Chelsea Handler book, and I truly enjoyed it. The writing was incredibly easy to follow, almost as if Chelsea were sitting with you on her balcony in Mallorca, casually sharing stories.

Chelsea Handler can do no wrong. She depicts the experience of women in 2025 so brilliantly. Bravo!!

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for allowing me to read and review this book.
A must-read for Chelsea Handler fans.

I have been a fan of Chelsea Handler for a while and applaud her success. I think she was blessed with an ability to find the humor in every situation and is an incredibly entertaining and naturally funny woman. This most recent novel differed from her previous hilarious anecdotes. While there were some, most of the book focused on proving she was a good person and a great friend who doesn't hate children. I wasn't interested in walking through her therapy session learnings. I love her pro-women stance and support her in this, but I did not recommend this book.

This was my sixth book by Chelsea Handler! I think I missed the last one (now on my list) but otherwise Iโve hit every single one.
Iโll Have What Sheโs Having while funny & containing Chelseaโs normal spark was actually so heartfelt. It was full of her philosophies on life, self-help & therapy. Sheโs a self-actualized queen now yaโll! My favorite stories in this book were about Chelsea going to the Bush compound & her stories about Poopsie, Oopsie & Whoopsie.
This was my first CH book where I tandem read & listened via audio and it made the experience so much more fun hearing her experiences from her own mouth. Any time you can listen to a book in the authorโs POV I would recommend doing so.
Thank you to NetGalley & Random House Publishing Group for the ARC of Iโll Have What Sheโs Having in exchange for an honest review.

I have followed Chelsea's career for a number of years so I was very excited to read this and to explore her journey.

I love Chelsea Handler. She is this walking contradiction which I can relate to. She can be a dick, but shows us also that she is a good person when it comes to the important things in life. She loves her tribe of women, children and dogs. This book had me belly laughing as well as brought a few tears. I remember reading her first book, My Horizontal Life, in college many years ago. I feel like Chelsea and I have both grown up a lot since then.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and Chelsea for an advanced release copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first Chelsea Handler book, so I have nothing to compare it to & didn't know what I was in for. I left it feeling like I had a new friend. The book is a series of stories about her life-- mostly focused on her personal life and relationships. The arch of the book is her focus on learning about becoming the person she hoped to become when she was young, and sometimes the reflection during those moments can feel a little heavy-handed, but I also think it would make the book accessible to someone who approaches it with more of an interest in self-help.. I'd recommend!
Thanks to NetGalley for an advance copy of this book.

I've long been a fan of Chelsea Handler and my respect for her has only gone up after reading this latest memoir. Featuring her trademark wit and cut-to-the-chase humor, it recounts the path she's taken to becoming the woman she is today. Chelsea gets honest about facing hard truths, doing the work, and living a better life for it. Introspective and uplifting, her stories challenge us, and especially women, to take hold of our lives and live them fully, always choosing to be a light. I also appreciated the acknowledgement of her privilege and how that has factored into her journey. If you're seeking a fresh start with plenty of LOLs along the way to lighten the mood, then Chelsea's book is for you!

I'll Have What She's Having by Chelsea Handler is an absolute riot of a read! Iโm already a fan of Chelseaโs humor, but this book took it to a whole new level. Sheโs unapologetically honest, wildly funny, and manages to mix sharp wit with relatable life lessons. From her take on the complexities of relationships to the hilarious moments of self-discovery, Chelsea delivers it all in her signature style thatโs part sarcasm, part self-reflection, and all heart.
The structure of the book, with its mix of funny anecdotes, personal stories, and observations, keeps you hooked from the first page to the last. Whether sheโs talking about her misadventures with love, navigating her career, or just dealing with the ups and downs of life, thereโs never a dull moment. It feels like sitting down with an old friend who knows how to make you laugh while giving you some unexpectedly deep insights.
What I really appreciated about this book is that while Chelsea brings the humor, she also gets real. Thereโs a level of vulnerability beneath all the jokes that shows a different side of her. You get a sense of who she is beyond the public personaโthe struggles, the growth, and the resilience that have shaped her. Itโs not just funnyโitโs human, which made me love it even more.
I will say there were moments that felt a bit repetitive, but Chelseaโs humor made it easy to overlook. Her witty remarks and quick comebacks kept the pace up and made me want to keep reading. Sheโs the type of writer who can turn even the most mundane topics into something hilarious and insightful.
Overall, I'll Have What She's Having is a fun, laugh-out-loud book that also manages to offer some meaningful life reflections. Chelsea Handler proves once again that sheโs not just a comedianโsheโs a storyteller who knows how to make her readers laugh, think, and maybe even cry a little. If youโre in the mood for a witty, charming read with just the right balance of humor and heart, this one is definitely worth picking up!

Receiving this ARC via NetGalley was such a surprise! Thank you SO much to the publishers and Chelsea Handler! Being a fan of Chelsea's previous books, show and more, I was excited to read this!
Rather a collection of stories and essays than a biography Chelsea lets the reader in on some personal moments of her life and growth in relationships, her career and more. If you want laughter and gossip like the old Chelsea, she isn't really in here but a grown, healing and mature woman is.
I feel like me and Chelsea could hang out and be friends. Always have and always will be a fan!

Iโll read anything Chelsea Handler writes, and was eagerly anticipating this one. She seems to be shifting away from comedy writing - I thought her last book was a nice departure, but was ready for her to get back to humor. This wasnโt really thatโฆ.it reads more like a book of lighthearted advice/lessons sheโs learned that she wants to pass on to younger women. Still, a fun, light read!

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review. โก
I went into this with not much knowledge on Chelsea Handler, other than seeing her on Call Her Daddy. When I received this copy, I was stoked to jump in.
While this could be considered a memoir, this book also felt like a guide on how to think and view the world like Chelsea. It was inspiring, to say the least.
I enjoyed reading about Chelseaโs experience with growing to love children. Although she doesnโt have any of her own, she makes herself available to children who need adult support.
This was a great read. 4/5

3.5 Stars rounded up.
I've always been a fan of Chelsea Handler and laughed hysterically through her earlier books, her tv show, and standup. I could relate to the partying and ludicrous decision making ability and the problems of our own making. I've been there. And much like Chelsea, I've realized I want something more and have put in the work to become the person I want to be. Am I there yet? No. Will I ever be there? Nope. Not to be to morbid but the end destination for all of us is death so why not enjoy the time we have but also try to better ourselves?
I come from the world of product and software development where we are always striving for continuous improvement which is what I draw on in my personal life but also recognized in Chelsea's new book, "I'll Have What She's Having." Chelsea reminds the reader it's about how you show up and make choices based on the person we want to be rather than being chained to the past or our previous iterations. We decide our present and future.
"I'll Have What She's Having" is the next step in Handler's evolution and she invites us for the ride. I laughed, I cried, I related, and I pondered. I truly enjoyed this read and found meaning in my own life. Some of the essays didn't call to me but that's okay, I just kept it moving and found something that would speak to me and I always did. There is something for everybody.
If Chelsea's having a heavy pour of personal growth, kindness to ourselves and others, humility as well as hilarity, a healthy dose of introspection, vulnerability, and pure joyโthen 100% "I'll Have What She's Having."

Chelsea Handler is back with her newest memoir in I'll Have What She's Having. This is a more subdued look into Chelsea's last few years than we've seen from some of her other works about her life. Our little Chelsea has matured. I really enjoyed that Chelsea shows that although you don't have children doesn't mean you can't have a meaningful impact on a child's life. While there isn't as much humor to this memoir as some of her other ones, it's still the same old Chelsea that's been around for years. I enjoyed the more reflective tone of this memoir as she's gotten a little older and seen how therapy has helped her to look back on things as well.
Thank you to Dial Press and Netgalley for a copy in exchange for review consideration.

Chelsea Handler: I'll have what she's having is a hilarious mix of comedy and introspection. Chelsea is a well known comic who has written several books. This book focuses on her childhood and her journey to become the woman she is today.
This book opens up with Chelsea as a young girl running a lemonade stand with her sister. She quickly realizes that the adults will buy more lemonade and she will make more money if she adds alcohol. Her plan worked so well that when her family went on vacation she was able to purchase herself a seat in first class, leaving the rest of her family in coach.
She takes you through her move to L.A., sexting a Govener, taking psychedelics in Spain, having dinner with Woody Allen and how it is to talk about her sex life on tv.
Chelsea defines family as both connected by blood and also those you choose as family. Including both people and pets in that mindset and talks about how important is is to be there for them. She is also working on showing up and being there for herself. At times she drops the comedic front and shows a more vulnerable side of herself, but for the most part the book is chalk full of the comedic humor you have come to love from her.
If you are a fan of Chelsea's comedy then this is the book for you! Special thanks to Chelsea Handler for working with NetGalley. I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

I was so surprisingly touched by this book.
I've read Chelsey's books since I was in my 20's about her being (by her own admission) an asshole in her 20's and 30's.
I love this book because after going through therapy (and a repremand from Jane Fonda) she talks about taking accountability for her behaviour and its effect in others, about understanding why you react to situations specific ways and what type of woman she wants to be, for her family, her career and herself.
It was just a really surprisingly beautiful book.
