I haven’t read a Chelsea handler book in a while so I was so excited to see she had a new book releasing. This one has a different vibe but I still love Chelsea’s storytelling and her sense of humor. There were some relatable moments and a lot of laughs. Wonderful!

I never thought that Chelsea Handler would be one of those insta-buy authors for me but she somehow became that. This book solidifies that even more.
Handler is insanely funny and raw. While she's won't be everyone's cup of tea she's definitely mine. Can't wait to see what else she puts out in the future.

Chelsea Handler does it again with "I'll Have What She's Having". Hilarious stories all around. You will NOT be disappointed!!! Shout out to our fellow Jersey Girl.

I'm so honored I got to read this before it is released. I am a fan of Chelsea Handler and love how blunt she is. This book was the best. I found myself laughing out loud.

The title of this book should be Chelsea Went To Therapy. We meet a new, enlightened, relaxed, trying to be her best and kindest self Chelsea. While night necessarily as funny as her previous books, this one is still entertaining and gives a lot of insight into Chelsea's outlook on life and how she wants to be treated and how she wants to treat others. Written in short essay format, it is a quick read with stories about her dogs, her ski friends at Whistler, her treating family & friends to trip to Mallorca and one funny encounter with Woody Allen.
Note, thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a free advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Chelsea Handler's I'll Have What She's Having is a sharp, self-reflective, and surprisingly mature take on her signature humor, proving that personal growth and comedy can go hand in hand. While still delivering her trademark wit and unfiltered storytelling, this book feels more introspective than her previous works, offering candid insights on aging, relationships, and self-discovery with a refreshing depth. Handler's evolution shines through in a way that’s both hilarious and heartfelt, making this a standout read for longtime fans and newcomers alike. I absolutely loved it!

Thank you Random House for the ARC via NetGalley Shelf.
Chelsea Handler’s latest book serves up exactly what you’d expect from the comedian: laugh-out-loud stories, sharp wit, and jaw-dropping anecdotes spiked with surprising moments of vulnerability. But beneath the absurd adventures (like spiking childhood lemonade and booking herself into first-class as a kid) lies the story of a woman who’s as fierce as she is loyal.
Handler masterfully blends hilarity with heartfelt wisdom, offering readers a candid look at what it means to survive, thrive, and stay true to yourself. Whether navigating psychedelic trips, awkward dinners with Woody Allen, or reflecting on love and loss, Handler’s no-holds-barred approach makes her relatable and aspirational.
Before reading, I assumed her tough exterior was just who she was (sharp, irreverent, and maybe a little intimidating). But this book reveals a nurturing, loyal side that feels deeply maternal (or perhaps paternal, as she might say). It’s part diary, part self-help guide, and entirely captivating.
Handler made me laugh aloud while inspiring me to keep learning and growing, no matter where life takes me. If you love unapologetic storytelling and crave the kind of book that makes you feel like you are chatting with a wise, wild friend over cocktails, this one is for you.
I can’t wait to devour the rest of her books. I’ll Have What She’s Having hits shelves on February 25th, so mark your calendar.

I’ve been a fan of Chelsea Handler since her early days on comedy television and I have enjoyed each of her books. If you’re also a fan of her’s, I’ll Have What She’s Having was no exception. I’ve always enjoyed Chelsea’s honesty, storytelling and comedic ability mixed with her discussions of important topics. This book is a compilation of essays from events throughout her life that led her to become person she is today. It was a quick, enjoyable read for fans of Chelsea Handler.

This was an enjoyable read! It’s true that this isn’t as messy and full of gossip as much as Chelsea Handler’s previous books may have been, but I think that just shows where she’s at in her life now. As someone who has read other books of hers and used to love her tv show, this felt a lot like hearing about what an old friend is up to.

Chelsea’s comedy has always been a sort of medicine to me. When I was going through some bad years, I could always count on an episode of Chelsea Lately, or seeing her live when she’d roll through my city, to make me laugh and forget what or who was trying to break me. She is truly living out her middle name purpose in life. Just like Chelsea put it out in the universe about a certain former governor, I’m putting it out in the universe that she might see this review, that she might comment no, I’m not delusional and yes, we would be friends in real life and we’d discuss the sun and the moon (completely separate entities) while feasting on plant-based chicken nuggets and drinking from glasses filled with a metric ton of ice. And for what it’s worth, I wouldn’t be caught dead without lip balm on me. From one Oopsie to another, Congratulations on the future New York Times bestseller and Happy 50th Birthday, Chelsea! Thank you Chelsea Handler, The Dial Press and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC of I’ll Have What She’s Having.

Another wonderful book by Chelsea Handler.Open honest funny and thoughtful I enjoyed from first to last page.#netgalley #randomhouse.

I like that she took her therapy from her last book and dove back into it with this new book.
Self reflection is hard, but when you see other people doing it; sharing their struggles and successes with it; it makes it easier to know you aren’t alone.
In typical Chelsea fashion you’re going to cackle out loud while also looking and reflecting within.
Loving this new and improved Chelsea Handler.

I went into this expecting a funny, lighthearted read, but it turned out to be much more emotional in nature. Chelsea Handler reflects on the years of therapy she’s undergone, but rather than coming across as introspective, she often feels self-congratulatory and even a bit superior.
If you’re interested in hearing about her love of skiing and dogs, you’ll get plenty of that. However, some of her reflections felt jarringly judgmental of others, especially considering the way she presents herself as enlightened. That contrast made parts of the book frustrating.
Overall, this was a mixed bag for me. There were moments I enjoyed, but others rubbed me the wrong way. If you’re a longtime fan of Handler, you might appreciate her perspective, but if you’re expecting pure comedy, this leans more toward personal reflection—with a fair amount of self-satisfaction along the way.
I would like to thank NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to Random House and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I’ve read many of Handler’s books in the past but it’s been many years. I’ll Have What She’s Having is a classic set of stories that have a more mature but still hilarious vibe from Handler.
As a fellow childless woman it’s nice to see her message and point of view in mainstream media. You can still live a fulfilling and fun life without wanting children if it’s not your cup of tea. Our girl has been in therapy and is ready to chat about it.
I did also find the ARC to be a bit abrupt at times in the writing. The chapters/stories vary in length and pacing, some very fleshed out while others provide very little depth. Obviously it’s Handler’s life and she can choose how much to share but then I ask why include certain stories at all?

I look forward to every new Chelsea Handler book, and this one was no exception. I really enjoyed it. I will definitely recommend it to friends.

60/100 or 3.0 stars
This was better than I was expecting, and I know that is a backhanded compliment, but it's true. The writing is solid and I have learned a lot about Chelsea. There are some important topics that she brings up and that overall are handled well. I lost interest in it at 52% because it really started leaning towards self-help over memoir, and that is when I decided to stop reading. It is good, and I would recommend it to people still, but I didn;t feel like continuing on with this one, unfortunately.

"I'll Have What She's Having" by Chelsea Handler was not what I expected. Unlike her signature dark and suggestive humour, this book feels more like an honest journal—an exploration of letting go and allowing love to lead. It’s both admirable and, depending on where you are in life, deeply relatable. To me, this book humanizes Chelsea in a way I hadn’t seen before. It’s raw, vulnerable, and a testament to the fact that she is more than just a stand-up comedian.
This was my first Chelsea Handler book, and it unfolds as a collection of vignettes from her life. She shares heartfelt and humorous stories about her two dogs, her passion for skiing, navigating the COVID lockdown with unexpected family, vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard, and how therapy has helped her become less critical and more self-aware. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but I found myself genuinely enjoying the read.
I sincerely thank Chelsea Handler, Random House, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of “I'll Have What She's Having.” I'm excited for its release on February 25th, 2025!

Having been a fan of Chelsea Handler for the last 17 years (!!), I've witnessed the highs and lows of her career in that span of time. I've read a majority of her other books and have even seen her on tour. I'LL HAVE WHAT SHE'S HAVING is Handler's most reflective book yet; it's a testament to her growth as a person, wanting to be the best version of herself that she can be. If you read this book and then go back and read her first, it's even clearer how much growth she's had. A wonderful read, full of anecdotes from all aspects of her life.

Chelsea returns, sharing her candid and unflinching journey through therapy, sobriety, navigating the challenges of COVID-19 lockdowns, and exploring the complexities of love.
Thank you to Random House, Dial Press and Net Galley for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

I have read almost all of Chelsea Handlers books and this one is my favorite so far. She shows a special skill of being inspiring and still funny as hell. Thanks NetGallery!
