It Must Have Been the Mistletoe is the story of Thea who has just been through a bad break up and is now corralled, along with her siblings Emily and Jimi, into a big family Christmas down in Cornwall by her parents who have just announced their permanent break up. Thea then has to cope with being snowed in with her family and her parents' new partners, as well as her attraction to surfer Sean.
I really liked this novel. It was a very easy read with lovely warm Christmas-y vibes and while there was a little bit of family drama, it never felt overdone or overblown. The possible romance between Thea and Sean was sweet and didn't neglect the fact that Thea is going through a tough time and I enjoyed the possible mystical element of the lucky mistletoe. This is very much a Christmas chick lit story that does what it says on the tin.
A warm comforting Christmas read. 4 stars.

Thea doesn't feel like celebrating this Christmas but she has travelled to Cove Manor in Cornwall for one last family Christmas before her parents divorce (even though Anna and Mike had been married for 40 years). She is joined by her siblings Emily and Jimi and their families.
Chaotic fun ensues as the family is snowed in and Anna and Mike's new partners arrive unexpectedly.
Over the family holiday Thea's shredded heart heals, and she meets a prospective new love interest. Will Thea find happiness? - And will thefamily survive their 'last' Christmas all together?
