Thank you Netgalley and rb media for the free ALC. My opinions are being left voluntarily. The narrator for the mmc role can read me the alphabet and I would be a fan. I will need to go find and listen to everything he's done. The book on the other hand wad all the way toxic and as much as I lov3 messy plots I found this one to be too much???? Where hopefully one is not messy and can learn it doesn't seem like any learning raking place here ...
The author has an extensive backlist will try another 2
3.5/5☆

Whoever edited this needs to reconsider their carrier because it sucked. The romance was poorly written and both characters had exactly 0 chemistry with one another. The writing style was worse than what a middle schooler might produce and it was just so choppy and incoherent. I also didn't really like the narrators, so this was truly a painful one to get through.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrators were very good!! The narrator for Zamora especially was great at expressing the emotions of their characters.
I was really enjoying the story at the beginning. There was a lot going on between Zamora and Marcus, and it kept my interest the whole time.
However, towards the last half of the book the characters thoughts and conflicts started to get repetitive. It was also pretty fast paced and I felt that some scenes were rushed. I was also not expecting some of the heavier topics covered in this book such as miscarriage and SA.
Overall, I did like the first half of the book. However, it felt like a lot was going on in the second half of it and it didn't flow realistically.
Thank you to NetGalley and RBMedia for providing me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review!

This was a really good book. I do think that some of the relationships move a little fast .. I get that there are reasons why it was just a little fast .. I'm so glad the two main characters found their way back to each other and that L got out of her situation really enjoyed the narrator as well

2.25/5
I unfortunately did not love this. To be fair, that is partially because it was not what I was expecting. Based on the blurb, I thought I was getting a cute and cozy second chance romance where the main couple meet again by chance randomly at the airport and rekindle their relationship. That was not what this was.
The premise had promise overall. I also did enjoy the narrators since I listened to the audiobook. I also did like the idea of the second chance romance and how it was set up.
My main complaint was I just didn’t expect all the crazy drama, cheating, and secret babies. It just didn’t all flow and felt kind of choppy and random. It seemed like there were 2-3 separate stories being told that didn’t mesh together. It just didn’t seem to flow well. I think the story could have been better without at least some of that. I was going to DNF, but at that point I did kind of want to see how the drama all played out.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for the audiobook.
I had to go back and reread the description on this one to see if I missed some key details, but nope. I maybe would have felt differently OR wouldn’t have picked this up if the description had been clearer on what the content would be like. From the blurb, this felt like a set up for a heartwarming second chance romance. What I wasn’t expecting was a third pov from a highly dislikable character and the intense plot points surrounding that character. And it’s saying a lot that that pov was so dislikable considering none of the characters in this book were particularly easy to like. If the plot of this book were laid out in an r/aita subreddit (which is about in line with how the drama here plays out) the verdict would be “everyone sucks here.” With the exception of Marcus’s mom (she’s my hero) I found all the characters annoying and not at all compelling. The pacing also left something to be desired, especially toward the end.
As far as the audiobook, I found the voices engaging, but I found Marcus’s narration a little stilted. But if I had been reading it myself, I probably would have DNFd or skipped the 3rd PoV, so at least they kept me engaged.
Spoilers and content warnings: cheating, miscarriage, rape “on page.”

Love Delayed was a great romance that was filled with more than just a love triangle. The buildup throughout the book and the problems that came up then fizzled out were great and kept me interested in the book. The narrators did a fabulous job at capturing me!

I’m going to keep this short as not to be overly critical. First I am thankful to have gotten an audio ALC for free from Netgalley and Recorded Books Media to listen to which gave me the opportunity to voluntarily leave a review.
I’m a bit perplexed as this reads like it is an unedited draft of a book. It it so choppy and meandered aimlessly. It was really
Poorly written unfortunately. It was also so repetitive with multiple POVs with one coming from left field.
All I say was the incredibly toxic relationships and selfishness where the main characters should get a good dose of therapy before getting into future relationships. There are countless plot holes as well and let’s not get started on the epilogue.
I’m sorry that I can’t recommend reading this at all.
Also, I listened to the auto book and since it already has come out I grabbed a copy from Kindle unlimited to see if I was missing something by listening to it. I was not.
I didn’t enjoy the narrators over all with the exception of the females natural voice narrating for the FMC Zamora. However, the voices she put on for some other characters were caricatures and bordered on offensive.
Lastly, the conversations between characters was so unrealistic and frustrating.
My rating system since GoodReads doesn’t have partial stars and I rarely round up.
⭐️ Hated it
⭐️⭐️ Had a lot of trouble, prose issues, really not my cup of tea (potentially DNF’d or thought about it)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meh, it was an ok read but nothing special
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really enjoyed it! Would recommend to others
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding! Will circle back and read again

Very good book, i'm not into audiobooks but this one caught me. I was reading it on KU in the same time i've listening to it. it was amazing.

Thank you NetGalley for this audiobook!!
Rating:2.5 stars
I was prepared for the second chance romance, but i was not ready for all the drama 10 years later would look like for both the FMC & MMC.
This novel was fast paced which normally i am a fan, but it moved entirely too fast at some points that it wasn’t realistic and left me feeling that the characters were all over the place.
Overall, i was prepared for a soft fluffy second chance romance; but the mentions of trafficking, cheating, etc made it a little heavier than expected.

⭐️⭐️
This book was all over the place! I thought I was going to read a cute second chance romance that started with a chance encounter at the airport…I was wrong.
First I disliked how Marcus treated Zamora in beginning of the book! I was thinking good riddance then I find out he is the actual love interest.
The time jumps were all over the place. Lots of cheating! I hate the cheating trope. So many side stories. There was too much drama.
That epilogue was very crazy. Secret kids and pregnancies!
I did listen to the audio for this book. The female narrator did a better job than the male narrator, but I just wasn’t a fan of this book in general.

Love Delayed by Anna Black is not your typical love story, and it was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. The story dives into the messy, complicated lives of Zamora and Marcus as they reconnect after ten years apart, and let me tell you, there’s no shortage of drama.
I would rate it 3.5/5. While I can’t say it was a favorite, the narrators absolutely nailed it. Their voices and delivery kept me engaged and curious enough to see how things would play out.
The characters face some major challenges, with secrets, unexpected family dynamics, and unresolved feelings all coming to the surface. While it wasn’t the kind of romance I usually go for, I found myself intrigued by their journey. The timeline can be a bit tricky to follow at times, but it adds to the layered, multifaceted nature of the story. If you enjoy stories full of twists, emotional baggage, and second chances, you should check this one out!

Well, this was not what I was expecting, and not in a good way. I thought I was going to be reading a romance story about lovers being separated and finding their way back to each other. Instead, it was a story about people with major red flags, cheating, secret families and children... definingly not what I was wanting or looking for. Timeline was all over the place and hard to follow. Only giving 2 stars since the narrators did a good job. Definitely just not the book for me...
Thank you to NetGalley and RBmedia for the audiobook for review.
