Such a fun read - started and finished in one sitting! Helped me change up my normal reads (mystery/thrillers) and reminded me why I love to branch out!

Laughed a lot and enjoyed the story as it had just the right amount of spice! Definitely an opposites attract (in the best way) kind of story!

You won’t regret picking this one up!

Part romance, part mystery. The story begins with Adriana Jones and her brother on holiday, she then puts on a bracelet she receives as a gift which is actually for Dr Andrew Jones and next thing you know he’s taking her and her brother to another country to solve an archeological mystery. While the storyline was completely out there it was still interesting and spiced up with some steamy romance.

Thank you to One More Chapter for the eARC.

Did Not Finish.

I still love Indiana Jones and The Mummy so I couldn't resist trying this one. But the FMC was immediately someone I was annoyed with. She agrees to go to a different country with a man she just met...just like that? Also, all this right after she drinks so much she starts drunk girl crying. The vibes were not vibing with me and thus, DNF.

OMG! I have laughed so hard while reading, unable to set down the book. I grew up watching Indiana Jones and this book takes me back to the feeling. Love the spicy scenes and the fun parts.. The action scenes are great.

Digging Dr Jones is a sizzling, sun-soaked adventure that had me laughing from start to finish. Packed with chaotic energy and sharp banter, this book takes readers deep into the Colombian jungle for a treasure hunt full of chemistry, mishaps and heart.

Adriana is a brilliantly relatable character who stumbles into the world of archaeology completely out of her depth, while Andrew Jones is the grumpy academic with a mission and a secret soft side. Their dynamic is a joy to read. The forced proximity and opposites attract tropes are used perfectly, creating tension and humour in equal measure.

Personally, I loved how playful this story was. It felt like watching The Lost City but with more steam and a dash more chaos. If you enjoy destination romances with spice, treasure maps and unexpected love, this one absolutely delivers.

Adriana Jones receives a bracelet while on vacation in Costa Rica. But that bracelet was actually supposed to go to Andrew Jones, an archeologist. She can't get the bracelet off, so she has to go on an adventure with Andrew to find a pirate's treasure.
This was a very cute debut novel. I love adventure romances, so I was excited to read this one. There were moments when I was a bit bored, but I enjoyed myself overall. If you want an Indiana Jones-esque slow burn romance, then definitely give this book a go!

Digging Dr Jones is a perfect romcom to get you out of a book slump! There is action, adventure, hilarious moments, and such fun chemistry between the main characters. Plus the spice is the perfect amount. I love how the whole adventure starts because Adriana puts on a bracelet that she thinks belongs to her but actually leads to her going on a treasure hunt. If you love Indiana Jones and treasure hunting then this is the perfect book for you!

This was such a fun book to read. I've recently discovered the adventure romance books and this makes me want to read a lot more of them. Adriana is on holiday with her brother when she accidentally puts on a bracelet that she then can't take off, finds out it wasn't meant for her and goes on an adventure around Colombia with the hot Dr Andrew Jones. I look forward to reading more books by Olivia Jackson.

A surprise gift is exactly what Adriana Jones needs to improve her vacation, and a bracelet with gems will do the trick. Except once it’s on, she’s faced with two problems: The bracelet is actually meant for Andrew Jones – the renowned and utterly gorgeous archaeologist. It will not come off, no matter how hard she tries… and Andrew Jones needs this bracelet if he wants to find an ancient lost treasure deep in the jungles of Colombia. There’s no way he’s letting Adriana’s mistake cost him his career.

There’s only one solution: Adriana must accompany him on his quest. Trekking through jungles and crawling through crypts wasn’t on Adriana’s vacation agenda, but an adventure with the very sexy Dr Jones might just be the treasure she’s been seeking.

I'm not particularly into instalove stories, but if they have enough spice in them, sometimes I can forgive it. 😀 This was a fun romp through the jungles of Colombia, but the characters were sometimes irritating and childish—and generally forgettable. It's an interesting premise, though. Overall, I'd give it 3.5⭐

I received an advanced complimentary digital copy of this book from Netgalley. Opinions expressed are my own.

A sweet and fun Indiana Jones-esque adventure rom-com.
Adriana and her brother William are on holiday in Costa Rica when a postal mixup has them thrown into a wild escapade in remote Colombia. Cue Dr. Andrew Jones' entrance, professor-slash-hot intrepid explorer. This forced proximity rom-com had me kicking my feet as Andrew and Adriana explored and flirted their way through decrepit churches, behing waterfalls, and in cave systems.
While the mystery wasn't that mysterious, it was a fun read with a great dynamic between our romantic leads.

Digging Dr. Jones was a lot of fun to read, turning me into an Olivia Jackson fan. I couldn’t believe it was a debut novel because it had more depth and character than a typical lighthearted rom com. I loved Adriana and William’s sibling bond and was glad that William came along with Andrew and Adriana. My favorite part of Andrew and Adriana’s romance was that they didn’t get together until a little over half way. Loved the slow burn and the initial forbidden feelings when Adriana thinks Andrew is married. Overall an enjoyable read and I will definitely be reading what Olivia Jackson writes next!

I loved the premise and execution. The writing felt effortless and the romantic tension built in the most glorious way.
Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. This was such an amazing story and the development of it was on point.
It was an easy and relaxing read, with a great banter and many moments which many me laugh out loud.

I would definitely recommend this book a fun holiday read. This book has vibes of Indiana Jones smashed up with a romcom. We follow Adriana Jones holidaying in Costa Rica with her brother when she mistakenly opens a package delivered to her hotel room which she thinks is addressed to her. Inside is a beautiful bracelet which naturally she tries on. Skip forward to the actual intended recipient Dr Andrew Jones arriving and when she tries to take the bracelet off to return it to him finds that it’s impossible to remove – a bit of a disastrous meet-cute. Dr Jones is an Archaeologist working for both Cambridge University and a secret society which aims to ensure that priceless artifacts stay out of the hands out of private collectors and treasure hunters. Ariana and her brother William accompany Dr Jones on a trip to Colombia in search of a missing treasure. Cue picturesque destinations, Andrews rivals in the form of his ex Brie and her husband Richard and their security team, secret hiding places behind waterfalls and creeping through crypts in hopes of being the first to the treasure.

I really enjoyed the family aspect of the story with Adriana’s and Williams relationship which was already tight-knit, become more open and truthful as Adriana discovers the truth of Williams past relationships. Adriana also has personal growth going from someone who was very anti-love and relationships after her ex-college boyfriend dumped her with the excuse that his family wouldn’t accept her because she’d grown up living in a trailer park she would always be trailer trash. Through the course of the story she becomes much more open to the idea that her and Andrew may be able to have more than just a holiday romance.

I will admit that there were some farfetched parts of this story, and that one of my least favourite tropes of insta-love was kind of prevalent with Andrew and Adriana only knowing each other for 2 weeks, however, if you are looking for a fun break from reality that’s light-hearted and romantic then this definitely fits the bill.

this book was filled with adventure and lust and all the giggles. it was unlike anything I’ve read before and i was completely amazed by the creativity and detail in which the setting contained. each setting was described beautifully, i imagined i was also in the tropical rainforest, venturing out on a hunt for lost treasure. the meet cute in this was unbelievable and almost too cute to manage. the adriana was kind of unbearable at times and she seemed to be so self centred. I liked the mmc and his intellectual style and his determination. He was also so obsessed with adriana it made the story so much sweeter. I didn’t like the stereotypical attitude of her brother, he had that expected flamboyant personality of a gay guy which seemed so forced and unnatural

Was this earth shattering or groundbreaking? No. But boy was it fun. This is for the romcom girlies who also love Indiana Jones. The book’s tagline might as well be “this belongs in a museum”. An adventurous journey through clues left by a Spanish pirate for a lost treasure and navigating attraction when looking at a history of bad relationships in the rearview. Dr. Andrew Oliver Jones is the modern day British equivalent of Indy, complete with Fedora, and I think it’s fun that this book actually references Indiana Jones rather than making it an homage without outright admitting it exists. This is a genre I think the world needs more of. Archaeological adventure romcoms. Because we live in a world that could use more Indy coded heroes.

Well, worth a read, and just a whole lot of fun.

Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC.

A sweet and fun adventurous romance, perfect for fans of Indiana Jones, Outer Banks, and Jungle Cruise! I thought the book was so funny, I loved the banter and the high adventure plot. It was definitely cheesy at times, but sometimes you can use a good cheesy romance book! If you are looking for a palette cleanser or just a mindless romance to get lost in, its perfect!
