Adriana and Andrew meet when she accidently receives a bracelet meant for him. She ends up accompanying him on a trip to Colombia, along with her brother. but someone wants to stop them and will do anything to keep them from finding the treasure first. A great read.

This was a great read. I actually laughed out loud a bunch of times during this crazy adventure. Adriana is an interesting character because she constantly sets herself up for disappointment by overthinking her way through a hypothetical end to any relationship she might start. Her brother William sees right through her self-sabotage and bides his time to give her the advice she desperately needs to be happy. Once you know their backstory, the over active imagination makes sense but you are also hopeful that she can overcome her childhood trauma and take a risk on her obvious attraction to Andrew. These two make a great team and it's easy to hope that they go on more adventures since they complement each other and make each other better. Once Adriana gets past her own overthinking and talks about what she's feeling, you can't help but relate to her inner struggles while simultaneously wanting to give her a swat for being so self-deprecating. It thoroughly enjoyed this Indiana Jones-esque story and will definitely recommend it to my customers.

Thankyou Netgalley, HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for the eArc on return of my honest review.
Digging Dr Jones was such a fun read perfect for lovers of Indiana Jones and National Treasure.
I did feel like it was a very slow start but the second half did pick up. There is a few spicy scenes but not too many that you lose touch with the romance. The characters are likeable and I enjoyed the plot.

This was ok. I do love an archeology, Indiana Jones vibe.
This did lean heavily into that. Probably too much. Like straight up saying Indiana Jones. the MMC was Dr. Jones.
Adriana Jones- yes same last name as MMC, unrelated -was not my favorite character. I can't put my finger on why. She was a little whiny and very co dependent on her brother. In an unhealthy way, she emotionally held him back from moving to be with a guy he loved.
18+ had a couple of spicy scenes. I just remember meh. Good tension at the beginning though.
Thank you Netgalley and Harper Collins UK One More Chapter for this digital ARC.

What would happen if National Treasure was on HBO instead of Disney? This book, this book is spicy treasure hunting fun!
I love a bit of bickering strangers to lovers so this was up my alley from the get go, add in some clever clues and a bad guy and I’m sold.
Oh and this is one of those ones where you think “oh is this actually spicy?” In the first 40% and then once they bang they just never stop banging 😂.

If you're a fan of...The Lost City, National Treasure, Indiana Jones, and/or hot, tall, British hunks...
I absolutely LOVED this book. I flew through this one - and truly hope we get a sequel, because Adriana and Andrew are an absolute vibe. When she mistakenly puts on a bracelet delivered to her on vacation, Adriana inadvertently sets the wheels in motion for a quest that will take her to the deepest caves and the dreamiest eyes - oh and a little fortune too.
I loved that the FMC is in her 30s and a business owner - and while she's a little lost and adrift when we meet her, you get the sense that she's a driven lady who's going to land on her feet. She comes to life in a way that I felt that I've met her before (maybe seeing a little bit of myself and some of my friends in her) and while at some points I wanted to just be like GIRL HE LIKES YOU!!! this slow burn had me rooting for her from the beginning.
Dr Andrew Jones is a dreamboat - and the way his character is so devoted to his family makes him super easy to love. I greatly enjoyed the banter between him and Adriana - he was super nice to a girl who accidently steals his bracelet, and the way his character unfolds through the story will make you swoon for him too.
Both characters have some great adventures in the books, but they each come with complicated childhood/family issues that brings a surprising layer to what could be just an unserious, flirty romance. I really loved this side of the story, and commend Olivia Jackson for writing these arcs into the otherwise action packed and hilarious story that we get to enjoy.
If you love rom coms, slow burns, and men who save dogs - you have got to snag this one ASAP.

This book was a cross between "National Treasure" & "The Lost City." I enjoyed both of those movies, and that made the book even better in my eyes.
Because I've watched those movies multiple times, especially "National Treasure," which I love, the story wasn't totally original to me, but I still really liked it.
If you like an adventure-romance story, then this is the book for you.
Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and publishers for this arc!
This book was such a fun ride and I had a wonderful time. While reading this, I truly felt like I was watching a classic action adventure movie with an added sub plot! The characters and their backstory just makes sense and the mystery of the treasure hunting was fantastic as well!

This was good fun. The chemistry between Adriana and Andrew was good and I liked their dynamic. There was a nice, gentle sense of humour to this book in general that was very appealing. However, the plot didn’t fully grip me and I found some of it a little bit convoluted. I also found William’s character a bit overwhelming and unnecessary to the rest of the plot.
Overall this was an entertaining and a quick read, but not quite my cup of tea. I would recommend it if you’re looking for something light and pacy with a lot of adventure and sleuthing. I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a free copy of this book.

This was an engaging read! I enjoyed the plot and would read it again.

POV: Single-FMC
Spice: 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️
This is a cute romantic adventure read that obviously plays on Indiana Jones and the little girl in me who loved him is absolutely here for the modern day book version!
I’m not sure you can call something slow burn when they’ve only known each other for a week, but it felt like a slow burn mixed with insta-love. This may be a me thing, but I do have a harder time feeling the chemistry between two characters when it’s only told from one POV, but maybe others wouldn’t.
Overall, the adventure/suspense felt a little slow up until the last 80% of the book, but it was still an enjoyable read!

Easy, fun insta-love read! Definitely a book where you roll your eyes in places but an enjoyable read! The second half of the book was definitely better once the relationship had developed between the main characters.

Fun adventure searching for lost treasure in the Colombian jungle. One Dr. Jones and a regular not related Jones reluctantly team up for the treasure hunt. This was a very detailed treasure hunt with the maps, the backstory of the people behind the treasure and travel throughout Colombia. The romance was slow and very cute. I was very invested in the outcome of how the MCs were gonna make it work.

This is fine! It's fun and good to suspend your disbelief but I don't think it's entirely anything dazzling.

When I saw the cover of Digging Dr. Jones, I had to request it. I didn’t know that romancy Indiana Jones vibes were something I needed in my life—but turns out, I really did!
This book is a fast-paced blend of mystery and romance, two of my favorite genres. The writing style leans a bit too YA for my personal taste, and the characters aren’t super deep. But honestly? I didn’t mind. I was just having a great time, even when the story got a little silly.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of William—he was absolutely insufferable at the beginning—but I did end up appreciating the brother-sister dynamic between him and Adriana. It added a nice emotional layer to the story.
Adriana and Andrew’s relationship is very insta-lovey, but it totally fit the fun, pulpy vibe of the book. Once their romance kicked off, it brought plenty of cute and spicy moments that I thoroughly enjoyed.
If you're in the mood for an adventurous, light-hearted and very funny read with just the right dose of romance and mystery, this one’s worth digging into.
Many thanks to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for this copy in exchange for my honest review.

3.5⭐️
This was a fun and adventurous read! The book started off strong, humorous and sexy and I couldn’t put it down. Unfortunately the love story itself got a bit unrealistic and over the top for me towards the ending, but nevertheless it was a nice read.

Digging Dr. Jones by Olivia Jackson is an absolute gem of a debut! It was equal parts adventurous romp and sizzling romance. I couldn’t put it down! It’s the kind of book that sweeps you up and doesn’t let go until the final page.
The story follows Adriana, a struggling business owner trying to unwind on a vacation in Costa Rica with her brother. But her relaxing getaway takes a wild turn when a misdelivered package thrusts her into a thrilling journey to Colombia, alongside the enigmatic and utterly charming Dr. Andrew Jones. Yes, the Indiana Jones vibes are strong, but this isn’t a copycat story. It’s original, clever, and full of heart.
I was a little nervous it might lean too heavily on the classic adventure trope, but it completely held its own. The plot is fresh, the stakes feel real, and the romance is on point. Think slow-burn tension with just the right amount of heat! Warning: this is an open-door romance (HOT!) and it’s done incredibly well.
What really stood out to me was the dynamic between Adriana and Andrew. She’s thrown into this high-stakes situation but never sidelined. Andrew respects her, listens to her, and genuinely appreciates her presence. Their banter, chemistry, and growing connection had me grinning, swooning, and occasionally yelling at the page.
The pacing was fast and fun, with laugh-out-loud moments and just enough emotional depth to balance out the action. Adriana and Andrew both have compelling backstories that add layers to the chaos and chemistry.
If you’re in the mood for a fast-paced romantic adventure with tropical danger, sizzling tension, and a whole lot of heart, this book is for you. Olivia Jackson has kicked off her author career with style, and I can’t wait to see what she writes next.
Huge thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an early copy in exchange for an honest review!

I wanted to like this book! I love the blend of adventure and romance - what a natural pairing - but it fell flat for me in a couple of ways.
First, the whole title has "Dr. Jones" right in it and there were significantly fewer references to Indiana Jones that I would have expected (and wanted!) Even when the book skirted close to famous references, like the hat, it didn't commit in the way I would have liked.
I also just want more growth out of characters than I feel like I got from Andrew or Adriana. Or even her brother. For how avoidant Adriana was with dealing with the problems waiting for her at home, that was a MAJOR red flag and I wanted Andrew to call her on it more.
It's not to say I didn't like the book at all - I was along for the ride! And I'll keep my eye out for future offerings from the author.

Thank you, Olivia Jackson and HarperCollinsUK, for this ARC of 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘋𝘳 𝘑𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴.
I read the ebook and listened to the audiobook. The narrator - Amelia March - did a great job of bringing these funny characters to life.
This book was absolutely hilarious! From the misunderstanding at the beginning - to the funny and sarcastic banter throughout the entire story. Adriana’s brother, William, cracked me up a lot 😄
The romance between Adriana and Andrew is a very slow burn, but I loved all of their adventures along the way.
Favorite Quote:
“I was trying to get to know you.” I rushed after him. “We’re stuck together for a few days, so we might as well learn some things about each other. Is there anything you would like to know about me?” -Adriana
“Where is your mute button?” -Andrew
𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘋𝘳 𝘑𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 is available on Audible, Amazon, and Kindle.

I love a good adventure romance, and this one absolutely delivered! Just look at that cover—the chemistry between the leads is dripping off the page, and it only gets better once you dive in. I adored the sibling dynamic between Adriana Jones and her brother William—their banter is hilarious, and their bond, forged through a shared difficult childhood felt authentic.
Then enters Dr. Andrew Jones (yes, same last name—no relation), and thanks to a mishap with an ancient bracelet, you're swept into a wild adventure through the jungles of Colombia. Think Indiana Jones but with a rom-com twist—I laughed, I swooned, and I couldn’t get enough. It’s a bit of a slow burn, but the tension is so worth it. There’s mystery, intrigue, and through it all, Andrew is constantly lifting Adriana up, helping her see her own strength and worth—and I loved that for her.
