I was going through my books and reviews and realised I had never reviewed this book although I read it two years ago. I am so sorry but I did want to say that from what I remember it is a fantastic book. It is a short read and had some interesting Characters and an interesting storyline. A bit quirky but good all the same.

I didn't think I would like this as well as I did but I definitely did.
Aunt Addi was a wonderful storyteller and one that I really enjoyed in getting to know
This one was definitely a can't put down book. I was sad to see it end.
Many twists and turns that I didn't see coming! Wow!
This author has done a wonderful job with her characters and the storyline.
I enjoyed it to the fullest.
5 stars from me. I highly recommend.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

Once I got through the slow start, I enjoyed this book. It was well written, but I was slightly disappointed with the length of time it took to get into. I hope to read more from this author because their writing style.

Thank you NetGalley for this eBook to review
I recently read Dear Aunt Addi by Aaralyn Adams, and unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations.
The novel is set in Butterville, Louisiana, and spans multiple timeframes, from 1895 to the 1970s. It begins with an eleven-year-old boy witnessing a mysterious event that curses his family for generations. Fast forward to the 1970s, and we meet Mrs. Devereux, a wealthy widow who has kept the details of that event buried. Enter Marvin Descant, a nosy newspaper editor determined to uncover the truth for a feature story.
While the plot had potential, the execution fell flat for me. The narrative jumps between different time periods and perspectives, which can be confusing and disrupts the flow of the story. The characters, though interesting, lacked depth and development, making it hard to connect with them on an emotional level.
The mystery surrounding the curse and the backward-running locomotive was intriguing, but the novel was very slow and confusing
