A very particular book, which starts from a director's desire to make a film about a couple on the run from Nazism, but then unravels by following the individual characters in various incarnations and parallel stories, from the past to the present and from the Iron Curtain to today's Sweden.
A book that is difficult to interpret and judge, for which it is better to let yourself be taken by the (very good) writing and the curiosity to know what role the characters will play page after page. Interesting literary experiment, then, but not a book for everyone.
