I found the narrative difficult to keep track of. It's episodic and starts with Adam and Eve.

There's a number of graphic incidents which motivate and shape people (often leading to their end).

It's a cross between a text book and a novel and I did not feel a complete success at either.

It's short and written in an easy style and the message is such that perhaps we should read it as we would James Joyce. For purpose rather than just a joy of reading.
