- 3.5 rounded up! This is a perfect summer read, a road trip & a wedding! It’s an adorable friend to lovers with cute banter & I loved the sister dynamic. All main characters were relatable & showed growth which is awesome! It was cute & I’d recommend it!
Thank you NetGalley for the chance at this adorable cutesy romance!

To what extent has your childhood, and your parents’ marriage, impacted your perception of and acceptance of love?
Charley has created a lifestyle void of surprise, uncertainty, and adventure. She’s sought out stability. Until her very boring, very stable husband asks for a divorce. Now her carefully crafted life has taken a sharp turn.
Her childhood best friend shows up at her doorstep in his nomad van and the two begin on a short road trip up north. They couldn’t be more opposite, but they’ve understood each other like no one else. Ethan lives for adventure and never stays in one place for too long.
Their love for each other is strong, but their lifestyle preferences just don’t align…yet.

Thanks to @netgalley and @elliepalmerwrites I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

5 Stars! I absolutely loved Anywhere with You! It was very similar to "People We Met on Vacation" by Emily Henry, but in my opinion better. The flashbacks allowed a better understanding of Charley and Ethan's relationship through all their stages of life and showed how they grew to become who they were during the book. Charley struggled with relationships due to her parents, but Ethan was always so patient and understanding with her. This book showed how much Ellie Palmer grew as a writer, so I can't wait to read whatever book comes next!

I was a big fan of Ellie’s debut last year so I was pretty confident heading into Anywhere With You and boyyyy did it deliver!! I highlighted so. many. parts. Sweet moments and hilarious moments and everything in between. Ellie expertly strikes the balance between humor and tough stuff. I love her writing!
Friends to lovers as a trope is hit or miss for me but this was incredible 🥹 I could feel the tension and the love between the main characters from the very beginning and I loved that the story had snippets of Charley and Ethan’s past.
The plot was just chaotic enough to keep me on my toes. Our main characters are on a roadtrip north attempting to stop an elopement and naturally run into some hurdles along the way. I loved every part of the journey!
I’m Minnesotan born and raised and so having a romance set in my home state was the cherry on top!!
Thank you so so much to Putnam for the advanced copy! 🩷

This book was seriously adorable! Charley and Ethan's friendship and love is so cute, and this book was everything I never knew I needed in a Minnesotan/Midwestern rom-com.
Charley was such a relatable character, struggling with a need to control everything in her life after a childhood of not feeling in control of anything. Ethan was a precious comedic relief to an otherwise heavy undertone, and I love that he was exactly what Charley needed.
I think I would have loved even more dialogue and conversation between the two, or even between Charley and her sister - miscommunication isn't a favorite trope of mine, and while the small doses of miscommunication weren't unbearable, I just would have preferred more communication to resolve what was already miscommunicated.
Overall, this book was such a sweet and goofy besties-to-lovers story that had me giggling the whole time.

This sophomore novel from Ellie Palmer is simply brilliant! I loved her debut book last year and was very excited to read this one and it did not disappoint. Palmer’s books are very good at making stories feel real, and deal with some heavier topics and emotions while incorporating some truly laugh out loud scenes. I kept pausing so I could read aloud some funnier moments to my husband. That woods run scene is gold! This story has a few tropes: road trip, friends to lovers, unrequited/second chance, opposites attract. It all works. Additionally, this is closed door, but the tension and build up are done so well. Like Four Weekends and a Funeral, Anywhere With You is a must buy.
Thank you Penguin Group Putnam for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Anywhere with you was a sweet story about finding true love where you least expect it. I wanted the story to continue and I am looking forward to reading more books by Ellie Palmer.

3.5 stars
I really enjoyed Four Weekends and a Funeral, so I was eager to read this book by the same author!
It's my own fault for not being so in love with this book--second chance romance just never hits for me as much as it does for other people.
So if you love second chance romance, this book is for you!!
I do love the friendship we see throughout the whole book, and the comfort of knowing someone deeply. We also see sibling love and all that that entails, which is so beautiful.
There were parts where I was frustrated with Charley, our FMC, but I understand we have to be annoyed to appreciate her growth.
Overall, a cute, quick read. A great summer romance, so it coming out in August is perfect!

Charley and Ethan drew me in from the very beginning of the book. Ethan is the van-lifer musician who acts totally aloof and Charley is the straight-shooting lawyer who can't unplug from work, and ends up divorced at 29 because of it. These childhood best friends had a falling out over Charley's marriage, but find themselves reconnected after Charley's sister and Ethan's other best friend spontaneously decide to get married. Charley absolutely needs to stop her sister from making the same mistakes she did, and chaos ensues.
Throughout the book, you get flashback snippets of Charley and Ethan's life, like how they became friends and why they meant so much to each other. Laurel and Petey are wonderful additions to their story and to the story overall, and you find yourself rooting for all of them.
Thanks to NetGalley and to Putnam for the ARC in exchange for honest feedback!

Ellie Palmer's sophomore novel ANYWHERE WITH YOU is delightfully fresh, hilarious, and oh so romantic. I want to live in Palmer's brain, because her wit and humor is so specific and refreshing--the jokes get even funnier on the second read! Palmer is a master of her craft weaving in emotional wounds from her characters past and present into an extremely relatable story about overcoming fears of failure, inadequacy, and abandonment and learning to trust love. Full of tropes that will have romance readers going wild, there is a secondary love story that is equally enchanting and that is the love of two sisters. Told with thoughtful flashbacks, gorgeous Minnesotan scenery, and a hilarious cast of characters this is a big love story with so much emotion that is perfect for fans of Carley Fortune and Abby Jimenez.

Most young adults have a check list for their futures and their partners, Charley Beekman is no different. Is her checklist dictated by her parents messed up marriage and constant moving around while she was growing up? Sure. What happens when everything she’s ever worked for is completely upended and thrown at her all at once? This story was a sweet read about best friends, new friends, sisters and love. Some laugh out loud moments and some deep touching ones too.

Big thanks to Putnam Books of the ARC!
I loved Ellie Palmer's first novel and I was thrilled to see this one! I think I liked it even more than her first and I am officially a huge fan and will read anything that she writes. Her writing style has a way of drawing me in almost instantly and I became so invested in the characters that I quite literally could not this book down! I read it almost completely in one sitting. Ellie Palmer is an author to watch and writes romance with so much heart and depth and the most relatable and loveable characters. This one was an easy five stars for me from the very beginning! I cannot wait to read every single book she puts out! See below for a synopsis:
On the heels of an unexpected divorce in her late twenties, Charley, a type A, patent attorney, learns that her "wild child" sister is planning to elope with her on-again-off- again childhood love. She feels like she has to stop the wedding and talk sense into her sister and ends up traveling to the woods of Minnesota with her childhood best friend, Ethan. Ethan is her complete opposite and travels the country in a camper van he restored after his career as a professional musician didn't quite work out. They have drifted apart lately, mostly due to Charley's decision to marry Rich, but the trip reminds them how much they truly love each other and ignites a new and unexpected spark in their relationship. Its part friends to lovers and part second chance and the genuinely the best book I've read so far this year! Pick it up on August 5th!

After being blindsided by a divorce Charley decides to stop her sister Laurel from eloping with her on-again-and-off-again boyfriend Petey. Laurel and Petey’s turbulent relationship triggers Charley as it brings back traumatic memories of her parents’ marriage. Charley hits the road with her best friend, musician Ethan, in his tricked out van to travel to the remote wedding site. Things get complicated fast because Charley is still crushed over Ethan’s actions around her own wedding. And she’s having trouble resisting acting on her strong attraction to him.
Palmer is a master of romantic comedy, which makes all her novels super fun reads. She does a wonderful job making each of the characters memorable and unique. For example, Charley is obsessed with hydration and Petey collects odd tattoos. One of my favorite parts of the book is the care it takes not only with Charley and Ethan’s relationship, but with Charley connecting on a deeper level with her sister Laurel. Charley makes significant changes in her life as the result of the events in the novel, giving her a robust character arc.
I absolutely adored Palmer’s debut FOUR WEEKENDS AND A FUNERAL. While I loved the characters and the humor in ANYWHERE WITH YOU, the book fell a touch short for me. To be fair, I am more of a fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope than the friends-to-lovers trope. At one point in the book, Charley discovers something about her ex, and I wish a bit more page time had been devoted to her unpacking it. Nevertheless, fans of romantic comedy are sure to adore ANYWHERE WITH YOU.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4.5 ⭐(rounding up to 5 for review sites)
Two childhood best friends + a camper van & a Minnesota road trip - yes please! Ethan & Charley won me over from the beginning. This one was so fun (especially as someone from Minnesota who adored allll the references to my beloved state). It was fun, funny, swoony & adventurous. I absolutely adored it & can easily say Ellie Palmer will be an auto read author for me. Put this one on your radar if you love friends turned to lovers, sister bonds & learning about yourself & working on being the best version of yourself for you + others. Oh & also, Ethan is a musician & has the coolest camper van. Enough said.
Huge thanks to Netgalley & Putnam Books for the arc of this book. All opinions are my own

THIS BOOK! I loved it. I loved every second of it. It was so funny - the writing had me cracking up throughout the entire thing. The characters were great and so real. I obviously wanted to reach the end but I also didn’t want it to end. I already want to reread it.

Charley, recent divorcee & lawyer, sets on a chaotic, unexpected roadtrip with her best friend, Ethan. Charley, thrives on concrete foundations, literally & figuratively.
Ethan & Charley have always known each other better than they know themselves. While Ethan accompanies on this road trip with a purpose, they finally see the sparks flying like everyone else around them.
Will Charley be able to live a life of spontaneity with Ethan?
This book was a little bit of a slow burn for me, but I kept finding myself waiting for a free moment to read & find out what predicament they would find themselves into next.
I was super excited to read this as Ellie Palmer is a new author to me. I’m so excited she was my first new author of the year as I’m trying to read at least one new author a month.
Thank you to Penguin Random House + NetGalley this advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

Ellie Palmer has officially been added to my 'Auto-buy" authors list!
I love the MN setting! Grand Marais!! I love Charley and Ethan.
The chapter titles kept me pulled in! I could never do "just one more chapter" after reading the next title!
This line: "He makes it safe to be me." gave me all the feels.
Colin Firth is the correct answer. #iykyk
Mostly, this book honors the relationships between sisters, particularly as new relationships enter our lives and our lives pull apart in the distance that those relationships take us.

Charley Beekman is having a rough go of it. She is one year out from a divorce that everyone (excerpt her) saw coming, her job is slowly driving her insane, her best friend Ethan isn't speaking to her, and now her sister is eloping to northern Minnesota with her on-again off-again boyfriend of a decade plus. With her need to be in control of her life and her surroundings, all of this chaos is not serving her well. The only logical choice she has is to figure out a way to stop this elopement from happening so that her sister doesn't fall prey to the same fate that she did.
As Charley and Ethan travel north in his camper van, readers are taken on a journey through the story of their past friendship - one that goes back to middle school - and the current state of their relationship. They use the trip to rekindle their bond and Charley allows herself to open her eyes to some of the feelings that may have been present between the two of them in the past. But Charley is a planner and Ethan is a free spirit. Charley needs stability and Ethan can just pick up and go. Anywhere With You explores how love may ask you to. make compromises to achieve happiness, but you have to decide whether or not they are ones you are willing to make.
Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced digital copy.

3.5 ⭐️
I kept reaching for this book even after I put it down for the night. I needed to keep reading to know what happened on the road trip and what secrets the forest was holding. This book had me giggling at many different parts.
Charley's life was upended when her husband peaces out of the marriage. This was not part of her plan or her schedule. I enjoyed when Ethan came in and upended her life even more by showing her you don't need to have every moment planned.
While you know what's going to happen the moment you start the book, the book jumped between the present time and glimpses into the past. I enjoyed that the past chapters weren't just about her friendship with Ethan. It covered her relationship with her family and friends, and we understand why she is the way she is.
Charley needed therapy, and there were times I felt for Ethan and Laurel. (This is what kept rhis book from being a 4 star... sometimes you just need to listen and grow). She projected so much of her beliefs on them, and really, she needed to talk to a therapist. This also would have helped her relationship with Rich, but he was already checked out before the marriage began.
**thank you to Netgalley and Putnam Books for the copy in exchange for my honest thoughts**

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC for my honest review. This was a cute but uneven romance. Childhood friends to lovers isn't my favorite, and this one is ok. The writing is good and the banter is quick. I just didn't get a true sense of why these two were in love.
