This book was such a cozy, heartwarming ride! Charley’s life feels like a bit of a mess—divorced young, stuck in a job she’s meh about, and just trying to figure things out. So when her free-spirited sister plans to elope, Charley teams up with her unreliable but oh-so-charming childhood best friend Ethan for a road trip that’s full of unexpected feelings.
I loved how the story balances humor, family drama, and slow-burning romance. Watching Charley wrestle with her past, her fears, and this new spark with Ethan felt super real and relatable. Plus, the camper van adventure vibe gave it all a fun, free-spirited energy.
If you’re into friends-to-lovers stories with a lot of heart and a little messy magic, this one’s definitely worth the trip.

Love a friends to lovers romance with fantastic banter, and Anywhere With You gave that and more! Loved this so much!

I liked Four Weekends and a Funeral, but LOVED this one!
Charley is a 29 year old, divorceé that works in intellectual property law. She is a steadfast, type-A workaholic. Her character was so fun, IMO. She reminded me of Nora from Book Lovers, especially considering her relationship with her sister. I love a FMC that isn't a loveable Jess Day archetype.
Ethan is a solo musician that travels for college student circuit. He and Charley have been friends since they were 13 years old. They have been in and out of touch through most of their friendship. Their relationship is restarting following a conflict prior to Charley's wedding two years ago. Laurel and Petey bring the two together when Charley enacts a plan to halt their elopement. I love Charley and Laurels relationship. They are chaotic and find their way stumbling through adulthood and shared trauma of their parents broken marriage.
There were a couple of times that I laughed out loud with this one! I think Ethan is funny, but Charley has some great quips, too. I'm not sure I could love this one more. The conflict and childhood trauma were thorough, not belabored. The juxtaposition between the two in feeling the need to stay or leave was beautifully done.
Thank you Netgalley and Putnam Books for this ARC!

A wonderful double friends to lovers story to remind us all that love isn’t finite. Love is a verb. Here’s to finding someone make makes you feel brave enough to jump off a cliff.

After reading Four Weekends and a Funeral, I knew I found a new favorite author and was shocked to discover it was her debut novel. When I had the opportunity to request an advance copy of Ellie Palmer’s sophomore book, I jumped at the chance. One of my absolute favorite tropes is the Friends to Lovers storyline. Oh was this one perfection!
What makes this type of story so good is when the friendship feels so deep and solid but with that flirty edge. Mix in lots of banter and an opposites attract pairing and you have a winning recipe. What Ms Palmer does is told through flashback scenes and weaves in and out of a long history of being there for each other. I especially loved the sister story and the family dynamics that shaped all the people in this story. My favorite example of friends to lovers is People We Meet On Vacation and this story has just tied it for its connection to the principles that make it good. Banter, whit, angst and deep commitment to each other. Chefs kiss!

Charley is overcoming her recent divorce and after her sister decides to marry her childhood sweetheart, she decides she needs to talk her sister out of making "a mistake." In this journey, Charley is joined by Ethan, her best friend since childhood who lives out of a van and commits to getting Charley to her sister's wedding. Ethan is a sort of nomad and very much a hipster musician type of dude. Charley has craved a life of stability and ended up married to a man who she thought would offer this to her. To me, the side characters made this much more enjoyable than the main characters. I felt like the main characters lived years in a miscommunication trope. They encounter lots of odd people and find themselves, for the first time, in close proximity without the outside noise.
Ethan got there before Charley did but I liked how they came together and figured it out. Ethan and Charley were able to TALK and figure their lives out together and I liked how the author did it.
Anyway, thank you to #NetGalley and PENGUIN GROUP Putnam | G.P. Putnam's Sons for the ARC of #AnywhereWithYou.

ok road trip vibes are always it for me, esp in these circumstances! so cutie, i'm glad i gave this one a chance

This was definitely an opposites attract book! Charley & Ethan are completely different types of people. I liked their banter and what a hot mess Charley was. She was really completely clueless when it came to Ethan! I thought Laurel & Petey brought the comic relief but also their side storyline often veered too much into the ridiculous side for me. I could have used a little less of them.

Anywhere With You by Ellie Palmer is a fantastic story about post-divorce healing & realizing true happiness with a healthy understanding of real love. Charley is getting divorced & this story is from her point of view.
Charley grew up in a home with parents who didn't have a healthy relationship or an understanding of love & family. During their childhood, Charley & her sister Laurel moved to a small MN town & befriended a couple of boys, Peter & Ethan. Ethan & Charley became best friends & spent lots of time together growing up until Charley got married. Now that Charley is divorced, Ethan returns & helps Charley get to her sister's wedding to Petey in northern MN.
Charley & Laurel's skewed view of love & romance has led to some misunderstandings of what true love & happiness should be, but with Ethan & Petey by their sides, the sisters are learning they can be happy in healthy marriages.
The timelines bounce back & forth from past to present, so that's a little tricky to follow, but the characters are hilarious & the scene descriptions sound amazing.
Thank you, #NetGalley! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book with all thoughts and opinions being my own. If you enjoy a bit of family drama, plenty of self-reflection, & a little passion, then you'll enjoy Anywhere With You by the talented Ellie Palmer.

This was a fun one- Ellie Palmer is one to watch! I will need to read her first novel, as I did very much enjoy her sophomore novel. Her banter, cultural references, and snark are on point. I was rooting for all the characters the whole time.
Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Anywhere With You was a good best friend to lovers romance that brought out the best in the characters. Having been friends for a long time Charley, was happy to be in Ethan’s orbit again. But Charley needs to stop her sisters wedding. Not because of any issues but her own. We follow along as Charley and Ethan road trip to their destination only for Charlie’s eyes to be opened. She realizes that Ethan is and always will be there. It’s just a great entertaining journey to get there.
Thank you to NetGalley and G.P Putnam, Penguin Random House for the copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are those of my own.

such a delightful book! highly recommend for new romance readers. friends to lovers is one of my favorite story types and this one is handled so so well. Ellie palmer is a new autobuy author for me!

This is my first Ellie Palmer book but it won't be my last. Now I have to admit I think I've discovered that friends to lovers is not my favorite trope. The writing was great, the jokes all hit, and the story was fun but I did not like our main couple's progression. I did enjoy the dual timelines and I definitely think it will hit for fans of the trope.
I think fans of contemporary romance, especially Emily Henry, will like this book.
Rated 4 stars. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC ebook.

I do not usually like friends to lovers trope, but this book made me see it in a new light. I was quickly caught up the romance and could not put this book down. I loved the forced proximity, road-trip adventures, and the tension. I enjoyed Ellie Palmer’s debut novel and was surprised to find I liked her second book even more! I will be eagerly awaiting for future books by this author!
Thank you to NetGalley and Putnam Books for this ARC!

Absolutely adored Four Weekends and a Funeral by Ellie Palmer so I just knew immediately that I had to read this and it DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT!!

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book.
I loved Ellie Palmer's debut "Four Weddings and a Funeral" so much that I really worried her next book would be a disappointment. Happy to say I need not have worried! This one is just as phenomenal - maybe more so? If that's possible? Definitely worth more than 5 stars. I loved every single character. I laughed my way through the whole book. The chapter headings were great, the banter was so funny, every Wet Ted scene was hilarious, as were Petey's multiple nicknames for Charley. The sexual energy between Charley and Ethan zings right off the page. This is exactly how friends to lovers stories should be written! I didn't want this to end.

I didn't mange to finish Ellie Palmer's first book (just didn't grab me), but her newest one is a delight! It's funny and quirky and delightful, and the banter and history between the 2 main characters was fresh and lively. I love a road trip romance for the summer, and there were several other sweet surprises in here, too! A great book to pack for summer vacation this year. Thank you for this opportunity!

This story was so fun to read! Ellie Palmer always has such a way with words that feels so surreal and like I’m experiencing the feelings myself. It’s like i’m in the story! I loved watching Charley & Ethan’s friendship blossom and grow! They are so perfect for each other. I just love them so much!

Anywhere with You is a super cute roadtrip childhood friends to lovers story that follows Charley and Ethan as they try to navigate the transition between friends to lovers. It’s a messy, chaotic, sometimes disastrous trip that has me simultaneously cringing and cracking up.
The chapter titles made me laugh and I loved how relatable Charley was. I did find her to be a bit frustrating though, always assuming the worst of things. Ethan was perfect and I really liked the side characters as well.
Overall, this was a really cute easy read! If you like childhood friends to lovers, chaotic situations, dual timelines, funny quips, and roadtrip vibes you’ll love this one!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this e-ARC! All opinions are my own!

This book was just what I needed. I am so grateful to have had the early opportunity to check it out. Thank you so much!
