Shari Low is now one of my favourite authors. I loved this book, as much as I've loved her previous books!
The stories of Kara, Ollie, Zak and Alice are cleverly interwoven, together with a brilliant and vivid cast of supporting characters.
Shari Low has found her unique style in telling her stories over a period of 24 hours.
Highly recommended!

This book like all of Shari's book is set over 24hrs. It works well because we follow the lives of different people throughout the story and eventually we will see how they all have some connection with each other.

The main part of the story is Kara who was getting married in Hawaii in a double wedding with her sister.
Kara has cancelled her wedding but still has to go and attend the wedding of her sister.

In this book previous characters make an appearance and it was great finding out how they were getting on with their lives. It's not a follow up book and can be read even if you haven't read any books by the author.
I think it's clever to write a book with a 24hr theme and yet have a well thought out full bodied book., in my opinion this is Shari Low's best book yet.
I'm not giving away the story as there's usually lots of spoilers in reviews out there and I think it's better to find out for yourself.. All that's left to say is everyone needs a Val in their life....read the book to find out why.
Really good read.

I really enjoyed this book, it's the first I've read from this author.
Id read that the characters cross over books and I didn't know if this would be difficult, but it wasn't and I didn't even notice.
I really liked the story, it kept me interested and wanting to know what happened next.

Told mostly in one day this is the story of four people and how their lives unfold in two hour increments. It’s a contemporary fiction story focusing on family and relationships. I enjoy the author’s writing style and how she goes from the present to flashbacks of the past. All characters are covered equally but spread out so when you come back to them you are eagerly waiting to find out more of their story.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

Thoroughly enjoyed this brilliant book by Shari Low.

The story is about four characters, Kara, Zac, Alice and Ollie. Each one is facing their own problems.

Kara in one go has lost her job, fiancé and home. But is still going to Hawaii for her sisters wedding along with her best friend Ollie who is a well known star too.

Alice has left behind a life she hated and is slowly rebuilding her new life and Zac, has lost someone special, when he’s handed a letter, which could change his whole life.

We also meet up with two old friends, one of which is Val Murray, who I loved and her appearance in this book was fabulous.

I highly recommend this book.

A group of four friends traveling to a wedding have been delayed at Glasgow airport because of bad weather.
The story is set in one day and we learn about the different characters lives.
A book about relationships and friendships.

This book follows four characters navigating life-changing moments over 24 hours:
• Kara, who has lost her job, home, and fiancé but heads to Hawaii for her sister’s wedding with her famous best friend, Ollie.
• Zac, grieving the loss of a loved one, receives a letter that could alter his life.
• Alice, rebuilding her life after escaping a traumatic past.

Shari Low weaves their stories together, culminating at an airport where their paths intersect. Familiar characters like Val Murray make cameo appearances, adding warmth and nostalgia.

While the story is heartfelt and well-paced, the ending ties up a bit too neatly, and the portrayal of quick rebounds into relationships feels unrealistic. Still, the compelling characters and engaging narrative make it an enjoyable New Year-themed read.

I received an E-ARC with a request for my honest review.

This heart-warming read follows Kara, Ollie, Alice and Zac as they try to work through the sudden surprises and changes in their lives.

With the unexpected break up for Kara, and the loss of her job she is reluctant to attend her sister’s wedding but decides it would be good to be around family and friends at this time. Her best friend Ollie will be attending too, although he soon finds himself in a sudden break up too.

Alice is moving closer to her family, but is sad to leave her current friend Val. However, when she attends a funeral for Zac’s aunt she is hoping to catch up with an old friend, but instead tries to discover answers from the past with Zac.

Will Alice & Zac find the answers they are looking for? What is in the future for Kara & Ollie?

I have loved all this authors books, as many I have read follow the same format of being set over 24 hours, with each of the characters taking turns to show their side of what is happening in their day and all the drama that follows.

There is an added theme along with the drama of friendship and love, and the characters stories entwine in some way.

It was lovely to hear a little about characters that have been in previous books too, although this can be read as a standalone book.

Overall, a heart-warming read that follows four people as their lives change over 24 hours.

I love Shari Low books and especially her "One" series. All the action takes place over 24 hours.
Her characters are relatable, real and funny. It's like being with friends and family.
I love how she brings previous characters into each installment, it's lovely to see what's happened in their lives since we last read about their story.
A lovely, easy cosy read

This was my first time reading a Shari Low book and I really enjoyed it. The story being told over a 24 hour period from multiple perspectives meant the book flew by and I was waiting to catch up with the characters when their next chapter arrived.
While the ending was quite predictable it was still a lovely read and I look forward to reading some of Shari’s other books in the future.

The worst thing about a Shari Low book is the feeling of loss after reading the last page.
The characters, some of whom are strangers at the beginning, become friends at the end of the story and they are difficult to forget. The consolation is that they will pop up in a future book in a small role.
I have been an avid fan of Shari Low books for a few years now and in every book I have found characters similar to people I know in real life or situations which someone I know has experienced.
I think it is these connections which make these books so readable.

Despite Ms Low having published over 35 books, One Day and Forever is the first one that I've read and I have to say that I very much enjoyed it.

The blurb immediately drew my attention and had me speculating how four people who appeared completely unconnected, apart from being stranded at an airport together, might be more closely associated on further inspection. This already felt like a story that I would very much enjoy delving into.

At the beginning of the book there is a section titled "On This Day We Meet..." which introduces the reader to the characters with an outline of events in their lives leading up to point at which we begin the story. I found this most helpful to get an overview of all the characters at the start and referred back to it a couple of times to refresh my memory because I was reading the story as and when I could over the course of a couple of weeks.

The main characters are Kara, Ollie, Alice and Zac and this story takes us through the day of the 3rd of January 2025 in two hour timeslots from the point of view of each of these characters.

The writing drew me into the story from the very start and I became so engrossed that I could not wait to continue the individual character's thread - Kara in particular - in the next section.

I liked the format of this story and found it full of emotion, likeable and vulnerable characters, with some humour and a happy ending. Not the ending I was expecting, but much more realistic and therefore more satisfying.

I would highly recommend this novel and have added some more novels in Ms Low's "One" series to my wish list.

Shari Low's books always hit the spot. Familiar characters, lots of drama, buckets of laughter, this book hits the spot and is a very easy read.

Absolutely brilliant Shari always hits the perfect spot with drama and hilarity and brilliant characters.

The story follows Kara, Zac, Alice and Ollie who are all facing their own dilemmas as always Shari weaves the stories perfectly.

Kara has lost her job, home and fiancé in quick succession but is still flying to Hawaii for her sisters wedding with her best friend and star Ollie. Alice has escaped a horrible life and spent the last year building her life back up and Zac has just said goodbye to someone special when he’s given a letter that might change his entire world.

There’s also a wee appearance or two from old friends Val Murray is definitely my favourite Shari character and I loved her wee parts in this story, I think she’s everyone’s favourite aunty!

Definitely five stars from me smashing!

This is the story of four individuals whose lives are about to change. Sherry Low’s One series of books are always enjoyable for me and I think it’s because of the characters she creates. I called this her One “series” but it’s not really a series. Every book can be read as a standalone they just all happen to have the word one in the title and everything happens over a certain period of time, this one takes place over 24 hours.

Like her other One books this has some familiar characters as well, I was especially pleased to see Alice and Val again. Low always writes compelling characters and those two are my favorites. This one takes place in January 2025 so it’s perfect as a New Year read.

The four different points of view read easily and flowed well together. I love how seamlessly they all ended at the airport even if it was a little bit far-fetched at the end. I was so happy the author didn’t go the way I thought she would with two of the story arcs and that bumped it up to four stars for me. It just tied up a little too perfectly in other ways.

I really like this book but I wish authors would stop throwing people into relationships so quickly after they’ve left one. It takes time to mourn a relationship and jumping into one right after the breakdown of an engagement is not a good idea. We women do not need men to live happy, full lives. If you have a great one I am happy for you but it’s because of love and commitment not because you can’t be alone.

Shari Low's story telling is magical. In only one day the life of four people traveling through Glasgow' s airport will change forever with amazing twist in the plot to bring them together? Zara, Alice, Ollie and Zac's stories and the ones around them will be touched with the magic of fate and love. Thanks to Nergalley and Boldwood for provinding an ARC copy of this book. This is my honest review

I always enjoy Shari Low's books, and "One Day and Forever" is just as delightful as its predecessors.
Over the course of 24 hours, we follow several characters, and the author does an amazing job of connecting all the dots. The storyline itself is heartwarming and charming, and I also appreciated seeing some Shari's old characters again.
