I decided to read this book in Spanish to test how it could be used for new learners of the language and I think it was a very helpful tool. Montagnana has created a beautiful story with beautiful artwork and the hopeful story of Candela finding their light is relatable to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Candela recién nacida no tiene idea de qué especie de criatura es; todo lo que sabe es que brilla bastante. Algunos insectos la consideran un compañero insecto, pero ¿de qué tipo? Pero al final (sin spoiler) encuentra otros insectos centelleantes de su propia especie. Lindo mensaje, pero mala ejecución.
