I absolutely ADORED this book! It made me giggle, shed tears, and nod with acknowledgment of feeling so seen as a mother. Thank you, Loryn Brantz for this masterpiece of parenthood summed up in easy to turn to poetry. I will definitely be purchasing this when it releases to turn to regularly.

What an absolute delight of a collection! I have been following Loryn Brantz on social media for some time. I loved that this was specifically all about parenting. I loved how it was the unique, weird, and delightful things that make up life as a parent. It was both funny and tender, while being so relatable and real. I found myself smiling and nodding through so much of this. It's the perfect gift for a parent - especially one with littles. Thanks to NetGalley for the early look at this April 2025 collection.

Poems of Parenting is an adorable collection of poems and line drawings from Loryn Brantz that parents will love. Brantz breaks down parenthood into moments that are both heartwarming and difficult. There are a few different parts to the book to highlight the different stages of parenting, from the newborn stage to well into toddlerhood. The breakdown includes: Part 1: Wrinkly Baby Bean - small and New You Are Here, Part II: Squishy Dumpling - On the Move Welcoming You To Babyhood, Part II: Spicy Little Nugget - Agent of Chaos Toddlerhood Activated, Part IV: Saucy String Bean - Surrender to Parenthood This Is Your Life Now. The book progresses as your little one ages, which provides both reprieve when you're in the thick of things, as well as humor as you recall those early days of parenting.

With entertaining illustrations, lots of humor, and short poems, Poems of Parenting would be a perfect give for a baby shower, Mother's Day, or "just because" to that mom friend you know could use a good hug and a laugh. I would highly recommend this collection of poems to parents!

This is a cute baby shower gift book. I'm more of a fan of baby shower humor but the poetry and connection will really hit with a new mom, especially with the raging hormones! So, if you know someone who loves a good cry, this would be the book for them!

I love following Loryn on Instagram and loved this book for the same reason — it’s refreshing to read authentic, irreverent and hilarious reflections on parenthood. See Cheyenne Bluett and Jessica Urlichs for more “serious” (somber/reflective in tone) poetry and pick up this book for a laugh!

I'm in love with this book. I love the humorous line drawings, the use of words, and all of the relatable situations. This is exactly what being a parent is like for me, the happy and the stressful. I would highly recommend this as a gift for new parents and to read with young children, to let them know how important they are and how much they are loved.
