I typically read psychological thrillers, but I haven't been feeling the best, so I was looking for an easy, light read. This book definitely checked the boxes! ✔️
Friends since elementary school, Teagan and Heath have a long history together. Both were raised with a "silver spoon in their mouths," but growing up with money isn't all it's cracked up to be...
Such a sweet story of love and friendship with a little smut mixed in! Even though it wasn't a psychological thriller, there was a little twist at the end that was unexpected.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion/review.

Sounded cute, it was cute. Wasn’t exactly what i was thinking but the character development was nice and the HEA was cute. Liked it 3.2 out of 5 stars.

"The reason I didn't want to give my heart away was because it wasn't mine to give. It has always belonged to Teagan. It always will."
This book definitely kept me on my toes from start to end. The amount of PLOT TWISTS WAS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. One thing I loved about the author was that they included many topics that a lot of young adults face in today's society.
Teagan has made her career her entire life. Forced to follow her parents' expectations, she is focused on getting that law degree and making them proud. Heath, who wishes to become a physical therapist, is also focused on his career, but his family has also been giving him a lot of weight to carry on his shoulders. While coming from rich families, Teagan and Heath have definitely been through a lot. The two have known each other their entire lives, and now that another summer with another wedding from their friend group is occurring, the two decide to have a situationship, especially since Teagan has just gotten out of a relationship, and neither have them have time for a real relationship this summer. A contract is made with strict rules about their arrangement being no-strings attached. But of course, with all the history the two have, and as they spend more time together, boundaries start to get blurred as feelings start to get caught between the two. I definitely loved this book from start to end, and I definitely recommend it :)

This book was an addictive, spicy ride from start to finish! Teagan and Heath’s arrangement was the perfect mix of tension, attraction, and complicated emotions. The blend of fake-dating with the backdrop of high-society events gave it a fun, luxurious feel, but the real heart of the story was in how their casual deal quickly turned into something much more.
Teagan was such a strong, independent character, and I loved how she took control of her own life, even when faced with the pressure of her family’s expectations. Heath was the perfect foil to her—charming, sexy, and just the right amount of stubborn. Their chemistry was undeniable, and watching their relationship evolve from a simple “arrangement” to something more heartfelt kept me hooked.
If you’re a fan of books with witty banter, sizzling tension, and the kind of characters who are a little bit too stubborn for their own good, this one is definitely for you. The story explores the complexities of love, friendship, and the blurred lines between them, making it a must-read for fans of spicy romance with a little bit of emotional depth.

I struggled to get through this book. While I believe the premise was promising, I found it challenging to follow due to the plot holes and abrupt transitions. It seemed like the story could have been condensed into a novella to eliminate its repetitive qualities.

A Thoughtful and Spicy Read with a Few Predictable Twists
Situationship by E.M. Wilson dives into some heavy, real-world topics like eating disorders, mental health, and anxiety, and it does so with care and authenticity. I really appreciated how the author didn’t shy away from these subjects, weaving them naturally into the story without making it feel overly dramatic.
The spice level? Perfect. It hit just the right balance without overshadowing the emotional depth of the characters’ journeys.
That said, the story felt a bit predictable at times. I found myself guessing where things were headed, which took away some of the suspense. The big plot twist at the end was interesting, but I wish it had been revealed sooner. It added so much context to why the main characters acted the way they did, and moving it up would have added even more depth to the story overall.
If you’re into emotionally charged romances with a good mix of spice and substance, this one’s definitely worth the read. Just don’t expect too many surprises along the way!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
E.M. Wilson’s Situationship is an absolute gem of an enemies-to-lovers romance! Teagan and Heath’s fiery chemistry leaps off the page, fueled by witty, snarky banter and that irresistible mix of hatred and undeniable attraction. The spice level is sizzling, making every moment between these frenemies unforgettable.
The supporting characters, especially their diverse friend group, added layers of drama and depth to the story. I loved how the book seamlessly wove in topics like mental health, race, sexuality, and privilege, shedding light on the disparities within their wealthy circle. The nuanced way these themes were handled elevated the story and gave it heart.
From start to finish, I was completely invested. The character development was phenomenal, and the tension between Teagan and Heath kept me on edge in the best way. If you love a romance with depth, diversity, and steam, this book is for you!

Thank you NetGalley for an arc!
I wanted to love this but it was so cringey. There’s potential but it fell flat & I kinda hated the FMC & MMC so there’s that 😬

Very well written! I love how detailed the story was and how well the characters were developed. Enjoyable and relatable.

What happens when two fiercely independent people sign a contract for pre-scheduled hookups to avoid messy entanglements? Teagan is a driven law student juggling weddings, black-tie events, and a family she doesn’t want to disappoint. Heath is a longtime friend who’s not “relationship material,” but perfect for a no-strings arrangement. It’s all going according to plan…until feelings threaten to unravel their flawless agreement.
Why You’ll Love It: • Fake-dating vibes with a twist
• Spicy tension that sizzles off the page
• Strong, ambitious heroine who won’t settle for less
• Perfect for fans of Ali Hazelwood, Hannah Grace, and Elle Kennedy
Ready to see if their “situationship” can survive its biggest challenge—real emotion?

I know a lot of these give plot summaries with detailed reflections, but I'm going to keep it short and sweet. The romantic scenes didn't make me cringe. And there were plenty. It actually had a plot. I'm glad I requested this one. I'd def reread it in the future.

boring and predictable book, can definitely tell that it’s a wattpad book. i wanted to finish it, but couldn’t. i’m having a newborn soon i’m not wasting my time on boring books.

This book is more than just a cute love story It shows the unrealistic expectations that are constantly put on the eldest daughter. I as the eldest daughter immediately resonated with this story, I saw a lot of myself in Teagan. It talks about mental health & those uncomfortable conversations that are needed. It highlights the privilege lifestyle that some people live. Although the contract made me so mad, I think it was needed for them to come back to each other.
Overall the spice was just right, the love story was just right & Teagan finally putting herself first was just right!

This book had a good storyline to it. I enjoyed the plot and the elements of the book, but I feel like the delivery fell a little flat for me. I’m always looking for a book that brings up “taboo” topics like eating disorders, abortion or abuse, so I was happy to see that it incorporated a little into the book. I also liked that it had a good representation of other topics like homophobia, racism and adoption that isn’t as talked about.
There was a lot of open door scenes, a lot that felt either rushed, quick or faded to black even though this book is categorized as erotica. I felt there was an over abundance that didn’t need to be in the plot and didn’t help with the story. Overall it just seemed to be centered more on the spice(but still seemed light on the spice) than the plot line for this book.
If you just want a cute easy spicy read then this is a good pick.
Thank you, NetGalley, the author and publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I liked the cover and the title of the book but ultimately when I began reading the story I didn't connect much with the characters. I found it to be uninteresting and just not for me. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

this definitely gave wattpad vibes, very predictable and the plot was interesting enough outside of their situationship

Did not see that twist coming! It definitely added some much needed depth to the relationship. Very sweet!

Situationship by E.M. Wilson delivers a sizzling and entertaining story that perfectly balances spice, humor, and emotional depth. Teagan and Heath’s “arrangement” starts as a practical solution but quickly spirals into a rollercoaster of complicated feelings, making it hard to put the book down.
Teagan is a compelling protagonist, juggling the pressure of family expectations with her own desire for independence, which a lot of us readers can relate to. The pressure of pleasing your parents while leaving behind your own life desires. Heath, with his charm and nonchalant attitude, provides the perfect counterbalance. Their dynamic feels fresh and engaging, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and undeniable sparks that keep the pages turning. Seriously, Teagan's commentary had me chuckling out loud, well done! Beyond the steamy romance and glamorous events, the story also delves into heavier topics like self-worth, emotional vulnerability, racism, homophobia and the challenges of maintaining authenticity under societal pressures, adding depth to the characters and their journey.
Though some parts of the plot are predictable and the pacing lags slightly in the middle, the thoughtful exploration of these themes and the engaging romance make up for it. For readers looking for a mix of emotional complexity, glamorous settings, and fake-dating fun, Situationship is an irresistible choice.

Situationship is a captivating romance that explores the complexities of a no-strings-attached relationship. Heath and Teagan's journey is filled with humor, angst, and genuine moments that make you root for them. Wilson's characters are well-developed and relatable, making their emotional struggles and growth feel real. The story is engaging and keeps you hooked from start to finish.

Going into this I had an idea of what it would be about, so I wasn't surprised. But I love Heath. Regardless of how he is described, he really surprised me. And his character development was important and I'm glad it was included in the story. Teagan was exactly how I thought she would be and reminded me a little about myself; trying to suppress true feelings for Heath by making their arrangement contractual and set rules to keep it light in a sense and that never works. She also has a bit of much needed character development and awareness of how what she does affects the ones she loves. Overall great book, loved the plot, the spice and characters both main and supporting, and well written quick read imo.
