Cowboys galore! I feel like the romance genre has been taken over by them in the last couple of years. This one took me a bit to get into purely because the formatting for the ARC was wonky. It didn't make me want to pick it up, but the story itself is quite fun and addicting.
This is a classic grumpy x sunshine pairing. Wade is our ranch owner with a penchant for scowling. Ivy is our clumsy sunshine character with a heavy past but an ability to make Wade grin. Nothing groundbreaking but a good time.
I did get surprised by the accidental pregnancy which is a big no for me, Its extra annoying when you see the signs but the character is oblivious. I did appreciate how Paisley handled Ivy's backstory with her ex and the emotional abuse she faced.
Overall a good romp (and very spicy) but not a book that will stand out for me.

Spicy!!! Definitely enjoyed this more over book 1 in the series. The cast of characters are developing well alongside the romances of each novel. Can’t wait to go back to Silver Pines in book 3!

I love these cowboy romances. It was heartfelt and so cute! I can’t wait for the next one to come out as I have loved both the first and second one

This book is fine. As it turns out, I don’t think I love cowboy romances. So, it’s nothing personal about Hope’s writing or her characters. This book just didn’t do it for me. For those who love small town, family business and cowboys, add this one to your stack!
3 stars. It’s not the author’s fault this book wasn’t a good fit for me.

After being obsessed with Nash and Cece, I had high hopes for Training the Heart. Ivy and Wade did not disappoint. I loved Wade's super grumpy cowboy self being forced to defrost from Ivy's ever-optimistic sunshine.
Silver Pines Ranch will be living in my head rent free for the foreseeable future. This book made me laugh, made me cry, made me swoon and kick my feet - it made me feel all the feelings. I also loved getting a look into what Nash and Cece's life looks like post perfect engagement in Holding the Reins.
I am really looking forward to seeing what the rest of this series has to offer - Cole and ginger's budding tension has my interest peaked already!

10/10 would recommend!! This was my first cowboy romance and wasn't ready for Wade Ashby, he maybe my new favorite book boy!

Every Paisley Hope book has had me hooked from the very beginning & this one was no exception!
I ate this book up because Wade was everything! The chemistry behind the two of them was written sop well and I absolutely loved the way that Paisley wrote this story. It was fun, spicy, and delicious!
These books only confirm how much I love cowboy romances & how I can't get enough of them!
Thank you NetGalley & Random House for an eARC!

Wade is the responsible oldest Ashby sibling who stepped up to manage the ranch when their dad got sick. His ex-wife treated him badly and still tries to manipulate him into helping her. Ivy has only been able to depend on herself since her father died when she was 14 and mom started to drink, and then she was in an emotionally abusive relationship for 5 years.
They have sizzling hot chemistry and gradually realize that they are not just casual.
As the first one, smoking hot!🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ But also a really good story. Definitely recommend!
