Kennedy Ryan has quickly become one of my new favorite authors. I have read the other books in this series and loved them all, but Can’t Get Enough might just be my favorite yet. Ryan has an incredible gift for blending steamy, heartfelt romance with real-world challenges—in this case, racism and Alzheimer’s disease. It is a powerful, moving, and completely engaging combination, handled with both care and authenticity.

On top of a fantastic love story, this book offers even more special moments between Hendrix, Yasmin, and Soledad—easily one of my favorite parts of the series. Their friendship is written with so much strength, loyalty, and fierce love. I truly appreciate how Ryan gives these relationships as much heart and depth as the romantic storyline, making the world of these characters feel even richer.

One of the things I have enjoyed most about this series is how each book follows a different member of the original friend group, creating a vibrant, interconnected world of stories. I am already planning to dive into more of Ryan’s backlist, and I cannot wait to see what she writes next!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my free review copy.

Every single one of the books in this series pulled at my emotions. This one though hit so close to home, as my mother had Alzheimer’s, which we discover that Hendrix’s mother also has. The way that Ryan is able to dive deeper into themes with so much thought and care, while giving us the passion and chemistry between two characters who feel so real, is such an immense talent. My mind still cant wrap around how she is able to do it.

I have never cried so hard at a book in my life. As always the romance in Kennedy Ryans books are so fleshed out and so swoon worthy. I absolutely loved Hendrix (my fave of the three) and Maverick. There love and connection just feels so real.

This series is not for people who just want a simple rom-com feel good book. This is romance, emotions, connection, real life all rolled up into one book (well technically a interconnected series). Do yourself a favor and read all three books in this series.

4.75 stars

This is so close to a 5-star read for me, but there was just one tiny thing that got under my skin that bumped it down. The messiness with Zere and Hendrix's decision to totally back down felt.... a touch disappointing to me? I just wish it packed a tiny bit more of a punch.

But who am I to criticize THE Kennedy Ryan's writing????? Yet again, she has written another story that is at turns emotionally devastating, sexy, loving and healing.

As someone who has had experiences with a family member struggling with Alzheimers, this story started off with a bang. I was emotional and heartbroken right from the get-go. But Miss Ryan handles the discussion of grieving a parent who's still alive so beautifully and tenderly. Hendrix's explanations of watching her mother slipping away into her illness were a real gut punch, and felt exactly like what my family's experiences were.

As for the romance - well she never misses. Hendrix and Mav are such a great couple, and from the moment they get together, they are devoted to each other. Don't want to spoil anything, but just know that the romance is excellent, showstopping, 10/10. also there's NO third act breakup. thank god.

Hendrix herself is incredible. She goes for what she wants, but balances that with love and humor and a desire to help her community. She takes care of those she loves, and she doesn't let anyone tell her what to to or who to be. I also really enjoyed reading about an FMC who's a bit older (40s vs typical 20-somethings). She's not figuring herself out, she knows and loves herself; and she's built a life that she loves for herself. (I might have to steal Soft Girl Sundays for myself)

There are numerous discussions/ruminations about being childfree by choice, and I really loved that aspect. Hendrix and Mav were not changing their minds to suit anyone else's wants, and it made for a lovely addition to their already incredible characters.
I think I'm going to be thinking about this one for a while.

Thank you, as always, to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the eARC in exchange for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Read this if you’re looking for stories about:
- sexy tech billionaires who will 🔥work🔥 to win you over
- badass black business women in power
- strong female friendships
- a heartbreaking yet eye opening experience into Alzheimer’s disease

I think we can all agree Hendrix’s book was long awaited, even if it means saying goodbye to this amazing group of fictional women 🥹 while book 1 is still hands down my favourite of the series, I will always appreciate Kennedy Ryan’s ability to weave a love story while delving into deeper themes with a lot of thought and care.

Thanks again to Forever and Netgalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Oooh Hen may be one of my favorites from The Skyland series! Her and Mav are a match that just work. The way he worships her curves. Her body. Her mind. Her perseverance! That’s a man right there!

Kennedy Ryan is the queen of real and raw romance and Can't Get Enough continues that theme with a bang! Can't Get Enough is a mature romance with no miscommunication or playing around. Maverick and Hendrix have their shit together and I loved seeing them figure out how love fits into their lives. They have shared experiences that helped the pair connect on a deeper emotional level, which only added to the appeal of this layer story.

Per usual with Ryan's books, I was immediately pulled into the story. You never know where Kennedy's stories are going and that is refreshing. I had to keep reading! The book tackles important topics, especially in today's political climate. Can't Get Enough also highlights the importance of found family and celebrates sisterhood, which is a love story all on its own. I absolutely LOVED seeing cameos from past heroes of books, including August West, Kenan Ross, and Grip!

Once again, Kennedy Ryan knocks it out of the park and still reigns as a romance writing Queen.

Thank you Netgalley and Forever Publishing for an advanced copy of one of my most anticipated reads this year. It did not miss. PLEASE NOTE: This is the third in a romance series. Again, we all know how books categorized as romances add, but I'd highly recommend reading all books in the series in order so you fully get Hendrix by the time this book starts (and so you know if you're like the book series at this point).

ALL the good:
- I was curious to see how Hendrix's romance was going to go, but I feel like the way Maverick was introduced makes complete sense for Hendrix, which made the love story feel extremely full.
- The scenes with Hendrix's mom made me tear up. They felt extremely real, especially as someone who watched her grandmother live with Alzheimer's.
- I love how Hendrix stays true to who she was in the past 2 books while in this book.
- Maverick is also a character I feel stayed very consistent between all of his different complications, which was nice to see two grown characters who stayed consistent in who they weren't and weren't just stuck in a mid-life crisis.
- I appreciate the subplots centered on both Hendrix and Maverick. It made the story so smooth to read and everything was wrapped up nicely at the end.

overall, if you've like the other 2 books in the Skyland Universe, this one does not disappoint.

Given the topics of the previous novels, it was no surprise that Can’t Get Enough started on a heartbreaking note. Hendrix is dealing with her mom, who has dementia and it’s causing her to become a danger to herself. At first, Hendrix is ready to move in but her aunt says that she’ll do it and take care of her sister.

While her mother’s diagnosis isn’t mentioned in the synposis, it is something I wanted to make very clear from the start. Things are tough for Hendrix already but possibly falling for a taken man? Now, that’s the real tea. She ends up meeting Maverick at a party and the connection is instant. Not only is Mav interested in her business but he can relate to what she’s going through.

At first, it seems like the two are bound to be together, but in a way only Kennedy Ryan can pull off, these two have to jump through all kinds of real-life hoops to get there. Hendrix ends up having to stay with her mother while also juggling her career. Meanwhile, Maverick is trying to figure out what’s next for him while convincing Hendrix to give him a chance.

While Can’t Get Enough is a heavy story, it doesn’t shy away from the more tender parts either, as the sensual dance Hendrix and Maverick do is intoxicating. These two feel like the true embodiment of soulmates. The sexual connection between the two is unmatched, and from the start, everything clicks into place for them to be together. As mentioned, life does make that pretty difficult.

Hendrix and Maverick go through so much throughout Can’t Get Enough, yet it makes them stronger people and better partners. The good thing is that these two had excellent support systems, especially Hendrix. Seeing her enjoy time with Soledad and Yasmen felt like the moment we’d all been waiting for.

While normally I’d have some critique, I truly have no notes when it comes to Can’t Get Enough. Kennedy Ryan continues to wow me and remains one of my favorite romance authors of all time. If you haven’t read this book or series yet, then don’t wait. Skyland is a series of stories you’ll want to devour while also savoring everything placed in front of you.

Kennedy Ryan is a gift. I don’t think anyone else writes romance that includes real life issues the way she does. Also, noticed in the acknowledgements that the whole Skyland series is in development at Peacock. I cannot wait to see all of these characters on screen.

Can’t Get Enough by Kennedy Ryan
Pub Date: 5/13/25
Format: ebook
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What an utterly stunning way to bring this chapter in Skyland to a close. This book has so much vulnerability and heart. From the moment we met Hendrix in Before I Let Go, I knew I could not wait to get my grubby little hands on her story and I have to say this exceeded my expectations.

Hendrix’s story is so tender and fierce. I loved watching her balance her career ambitions with what she actually wanted to prioritize in her personal life as she goes through this journey of meeting Maverick, handling her mother’s battle with Alzheimer’s, and everything else along the way. She is such a strong and badass woman but no one does character development like Kennedy Ryan and the way Hendrix is fully flushed out in this novel is really special.

And Maverick? Get. Out. Of. Here. I really thought that any love interest in this book was going to be mid for me because Judah Cross ruined all fictional men forever (can we have more forensic accountant love interests please?) but Maverick was the perfect counterpart to Hendrix and their forbidden love slow burn was so dang fiery 🔥 He was such a rock while also being just aggressive enough for me to be sold on him for our girl pretty much instantly!

To top off this beautiful story, we get even more special moments between Hendrix, Yasmin, and Soledad which are forever my favorite parts. The female friendship between these three is just so well written and I especially love that they aren’t childhood friends. As someone who has found most of my people in my late 20s/early 30s I feel like this is just such incredible representation of the fierceness of adult female friendships.

All in all, I found this book to be perfect and it left me craving more of this incredible cast of characters (and some greasy Waffle House food). Do not sleep on this one!!

Kennedy Ryan has become a must-read author for me! I absolutely loved her first two books in the Skyland series, “Before I Let Go” and “This Could Be Us.” The latest book in the series is “Can’t get Enough,” and it did not disappoint! Once I picked up the book, I could not put it down!

This book is about Hendrix, a woman who has it all—well, mostly! She has wonderful friends and their children for whom she is an honorary aunt. Hendrix has a thriving career and is close to her mom and aunt. She doesn’t have time for a relationship and hasn’t found a man, yet, in her 40 years, who is worth committing to until she meets Maverick Bell, sexy tech mogul. Who happens to be newly broken up with a business partner of Hendrix’s! Is he worth taking a chance on, even if it means repercussions with her business partner and ex of Maverick?

There’s more to this story, though. Hendrix’s mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, and balancing her own life with caring for her mother is a large part of Hendrix’s story. This book has it all—well-written characters, an engaging storyline, a love story that will pull on your heartstrings, and spice! I hope you love this book as much as I did!

Thank you to the publisher for the digital ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Having read the first two books in Kennedy Ryan’s Skyland series, I was thrilled to dive into the third instalment, Can’t Get Enough. This time, the spotlight is on Hendrix Barry—a smart, ambitious woman thriving in the entertainment world with a successful business, a close-knit circle of phenomenal friends, and a family she absolutely adores. She’s the kind of woman who seems to have it all together, but as her friends Yasmen and Soledad (who we got to know in the previous books) settle into their own families, Hendrix starts to quietly crave something more.

Enter Maverick Bell. Tech mogul, charming as all get-out, and completely off-limits—or at least, he should be. Their first encounter is magnetic, even before Hendrix realizes who he is. The complication? Maverick is dating a woman Hendrix is working with on a major project. Once that relationship ends unexpectedly, things start to shift. Maverick expresses an interest in investing in Hendrix’s business initiative that supports Black women entrepreneurs, and the professional connection soon sizzles into something undeniable.

Kennedy Ryan writes their chemistry beautifully—there’s no denying the electricity between Hendrix and Maverick. Personally, I’m not a fan of open-door romance scenes, so I skipped those parts, but I can still appreciate the passion and respect that underpins their connection. That said, readers should know that the language in some parts of the book is quite colourful—it didn’t always work for me and might not appeal to everyone.

One of the most touching elements of the story is Hendrix’s relationship with her mother, who is living with dementia in another city. The emotional toll of watching a parent slowly lose pieces of themselves is something Ryan portrays with grace, care, and deep compassion. Anyone who has experienced the decline of a loved one due to this cruel disease will find these moments achingly relatable and sensitively told.

Final Thoughts:

Can’t Get Enough is a layered and heartfelt story about ambition, love, responsibility, and choosing joy even when it feels risky. Kennedy Ryan continues to impress with her ability to weave complex, authentic characters into emotionally rich narratives.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher but the thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own.

Finally we have arrived at the final book in the Skyland Series, with the lovely Hendrix! 😍 I loved the previous two books in the series, and I gave both books 5 stars because they equally ripped my heart out and put it back together, and the romances were swoon worthy and entertaining.

I was really looking forward to Hendrix's book, because she was such a fun side character in the previous stories. I expected a lot from this, and in some ways I really loved it (I mean MAVERICK is right there 🤤), and in others it fell a little flat.

💜 Black Entrepreneur's
🤍 Plus Sized, Independent FMC
💜 Billionaire MMC
🤍 Childless By Choice
💜 Caregiver + Alzheimer's Disease Rep

Let's start at the beginning...

For some reason it took me about 2 full weeks to even get past the 10% point of this book 😬. The beginning of the book starts immediately with Hendrix going home to visit her mother for the holidays who has Alzheimer's. She quickly sees the house is an absolute mess (doors fully open, food boiling over on the stove, etc.) and Hendrix's mother is no where to be found. Through a series of events her mother is quickly found, but it was such a jarring way to start the book.

I don't know if everyone would feel quite as triggered by it as me, but it made me super anxious and as previously stated I couldn't bear to pick up the book for a while because of it.

BUT I will say once I finally bit the bullet and just pushed past that, the rest of the book was quite smooth sailing. The Alzheimer's storyline is still a prevelant part, and I ended up really enjoying how it was portrayed. As with all of Kennedy's book the topic was incredibly well researched, and it was done with care. It was realistic, but not completely hopeless which is what I feared from the beginning.

Past the Alzheimer's rep, I really enjoyed the child free storyline. The way that Hendrix describes not wanting to have kids, but still having caregiver/maternal instincts for the people around her was so important! I am an aunt of two myself, and not to toot my horn but I can see the influence I have on them. You don't need to have a baby, to be caregiver. You can simply be, and I loved seeing it in this.

Another part of this that I really liked seeing was how black excellence was represented in this. Both Maverick and Hendrix are killing it in their respective fields, and they are being paid well for it. They both worked extremely hard to get to the level of success that they are at, and they both continue to pave the way for others. The quote that kept sticking out to me was, “women make up less than two percent of all venture capital funding, and Black women less than half a percent.” I knew it was low but not half a percent LOW. Really a lot of great points all around that were brought up, and really proves how much continued work needs to be done.

Now finally to the romance! Maverick was the epitome or the perfect book boyfriend. He put in the WORK for Hendrix, (as she deserved) and I really loved all of the sweet gestures that he did for her. I do wish that the road didn't need to be so hard for them because the whole ex-girlfriend aspect just wasn't it 😬. It was annoying, and really put a damper on the couples story. I think because of this too the pacing of their romance felt off to me too 🤷🏼‍♀️

But overall a good book! Once I got past the beginning, it had some solid storylines going outside of the romance that I really enjoyed. I LOVED seeing all three of the original ladies together, and honestly I want a whole book of the trio just out having fun together! I feel quite sad that this is the last were going to see if them, but all good things must come to an end I suppose 🥹

I knew I was going to love getting full Hendrix story, after seeing glimpses for the last two books. Bottom line, Kennedy Ryan delivered. Plus throw in Maverick Bell … a winner hands down. I have loved every male main character in the Skyland series, but Maverick Bell may end up being my favorite.

Kennedy Ryan writes complex, strong women, often centering their friendship. Yes there is romance, yes there is spice but there is so so much more on the pages of the book especially in Can’t Get Enough. Hendrix has goals and plans, and often had not wanted to wish for her other dreams (a companion/significant other) because she felt she may have had to give up part of herself. I loved seeing the softer side of her, that Maverick also seemed to be able to pull out. The pages of this book will stay with me. Some parts felt like a reflection, and I found myself resonating with a lot. Plus I could scream all day about the friendship among these women, I loved it all.

I am devastated that this series is now complete. I would take a holiday book, an extended epilogue, a second generation with the kids … something, anything Kennedy Ryan! I need more of Yasmen, Soledad and Hendrix and all the others in Skyland on the pages of another book.

Can’t Get Enough is out May 13, 2025 and I will forever be grateful to Forever Pub for this eARC copy to read, love and review.

Hen's book could not have been more perfect for her. It showcased what a force she was, but also her softer vulnerability. Mav was a fantastic partner and I loved that he always saw Hen for exactly who she was and respected her, showed up for her, and loved her in big and small ways. The build up and chase between them was wonderful (he falls first for the win!) and it was so refreshing to see mature adults talk through their issues and concerns and not see any silly misunderstandings or drama thrown in along the way.

Can't Get Enough is an emotional book that doesn't shy away from conversations about race, systemic inequities, and the realities of caring for a parent/loved one with Alzheimer's. Hen's journey with her mother was raw and realistic and my heart ached for everyone involved. I appreciated that this plotline wasn't wrapped up with a tidy bow and was instead left in a hopeful place, with the knowledge that it's an everchanging situation. A situation that Hen (and her entire found family) will tackle together. The mentions and discussions about God and religion were a little heavy handed for me at times, but I understand what a vital role they played for our characters.

Speaking of found family, one thing I have absolutely loved about this series is the sisterhood between Hendrix, Soledad, and Yasmen. The amount of support, love, and understanding between these women is such a gift. I especially loved their group chats and their friendship is the backbone of the Skyland series. Every book in this series has been amazing and I can't recommend it enough. Please also be sure to check out the author's note at the end to learn more about the real life inspiration for the Aspire Fund's legal battle in the book.

Kennedy Ryan is a master at writing compelling characters, especially believable male POV. I enjoyed both Hendrix and Maverick and the fact that they stuck to their morals throughout the entire novel.

The biggest problem for me was that there were too many subplots. They're all great in isolation, but felt a bit crammed into one novel. The lawsuit should have had a bigger role, and the stakes for Maverick and Hendrix weren't high enough. So what if Zee was upset? The relationship between the two women wasn't strong enough for me to care.

Overall the book was good, but probably my least favourite of the Skyland series

Kennedy Ryan has gifted us another emotional masterpiece. “Can’t get Enough” was everything I look for in a romance. The book seamlessly blends together love, spice, friendship, grief, equity issues, women’s rights, self-sabotage and self-love into one powerful story.

I cried tears of recognition as someone who has had loved ones diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and lives with the fear of it being my own future. Kennedy’s personal note about her own lived experience with the disease made the story feel even more authentic.

Hendrix (“Hen”) is a powerhouse of an FMC. She runs her own business that supports Black women entrepreneurs, managing high-profile clients, all while being her mother’s primary caregiver.

And then there’s Maverick, the personification of “if he could, he would”. He sees Hen for who she really is and uplifts her strengths, while also being someone she can be weak with. For once, she has someone who will take care of her.

The way the novel explains “Black Girl Magic” as a form of powerful resilience and the relentless, often unseen labor of surviving and thriving within systems not designed for success is deeply profound.

This is a love story deeply rooted in real-life challenges and triumphs.

I’m so grateful to have been chosen to not only read but experience this story!

I wanted to really love this one, but it fell a little flat for me. I do wonder if that was because I had JUST finished book one in this serious, though and just loved Yasmen's story so much. I loved most of this one, but the billionaire aspect wore on me with how many times it came up--excessive traveling and spending. I love this author though, and how she writes to such difficult topics, such as affirmative action and Alzheimer's.

Definitely recommend this one--thanks so much for the arc!

A sexy romp of two successful and driven people with a shared life experience in caring for aging parents with health issues. The story uses the billionaire trope without subjugating the lead female (Hendrix) to be emotionally dependent on Maverick-and while he enjoys the privileges of money, he uses his wealth for good and solutions. Hendrix continues to show up as a strong independent woman who honors her priorities and continues to prioritize herself-no matter the insertion of his wealth. We love a man who woos with private jets and private sport boxes, but we love Maverick for how he weaves being a good human being with wealth and respect for a real, power-centered woman. The storyline around Hendrix caring for her mother is honest and earnest- it shows the flaw in setting expectations for what we hope to be real vs. what is actually real can be a catalyst for showing up as our best selves.

Hendrix Barry has it all: phenomenal friends, a loving family, and a thriving entertainment business, yet her toughest challenge is balancing her ambitious life with caring for an aging parent, leaving little room for romance. When tech mogul Maverick Bell sweeps her off her feet with irresistible charm and understanding, she must decide if she is willing to risk her carefully planned path for a love that feels too good to be allowed.

I’m not sure which story I love most across all three books in this series…the love stories or the powerful friendship between Yasmen, Soledad, and Hendrix. This book was such a strong and satisfying conclusion to the Skyland Series. I absolutely love how Kennedy Ryan blends important social issues and systemic inequities with emotional topics like grief and dementia, all while keeping the romance so spicy that my face was constantly torn between blushing and tearing up. Hendrix is such a powerful, fearless main character, and she and Maverick truly feel like a match made in heaven. I loved their happily ever after and how they both stayed true to themselves. Kennedy Ryan has made me a full blown emotional romance addict, and I love her for it.
