An ode to the "strong Black Women"! Strength and softness are not opposites—you can be powerful while embracing rest, deserving love without needing all the answers, and existing beyond the weight of others' expectations.
Once again, Kennedy delivers a masterfully woven story filled with love, struggle, and the everyday realities of life. She takes us on an intimate journey of transitioning from child to caregiver, handling it with grace and authenticity. Through her storytelling, she highlights the Black Community's experiences—whether it’s the choice to remain child-free or the battle for equality in the business world.
If you haven’t started this series yet, you’re missing out. These books are for the real, everyday people navigating life’s challenges. They remind us that struggles are inevitable, but we are never alone in facing them.

RATING: 3/5 STARS
I deeply wanted to like this more! I think my expectations were too high after This Could Be Us. Billionaire romances are a hard sell for me. I rarely read them, so this book was a hard sell personally. But I think fans of the first two books in this series will enjoy the strong female lead and emotional romance.

I refuse to accept the Skyland trio is done but what a great final book to tie the series up with. I loved Mav and this is probably the first black billionaire romance I’ve read which is an absolute travesty. So excited our girl Hendrix got her happy ending and the way her caretaking was revealed through the relationship with her mother was so moving. I’ll admit when a certain real life situation popped up for the characters in this book I was taken aback but the authors note at the end made me appreciative that it was included.
I thought Zere was going to have to be added to the “it’s on sight” list with Edward….but she’ll stay off the list. For now 😂.

Back in November, @kennedyryan shared the dedication for Hendrix’s story. It reads: For the ones who have used your magic to lift, protect, and illuminate everybody else…rest is our new resistance. Rest & shine, my loves. Rest & shine.”
I knew from that alone, that Hendrix’s story was going to hit in a way that the others hadn’t. Don’t get me wrong, I found community with both Yasmen’s and Soledad’s stories, but before reading, I knew something about Hendrix’s would hit me to my core.
Hendrix was a mirror to my own identity.
Childfree by choice - ✅
Auntie to friend’s kids - ✅
Ambitious and driven - ✅
Hyper independent - ✅
A little thug, but a lot of sweetheart - ✅
110% giver - ✅
Loyal friend - ✅
Funny and a little crass - ✅
But here is the similarity that rocked me to my core. Hendrix’s mom’s name is Betty. Just as my sweet mother’s name. The same mother I lost unexpectedly in 2018. It was in the prologue of the book that I first saw mention of Hendrix’s mother and upon discovering, I immediately paused. I knew I would need to process the grief that still lingers and that would naturally rise when seeing my own mother’s name in print while reading of Hendrix’s struggles with taking care of an aging parent.
For me, this book was way more than Maverick and Hendrix. Don’t get me wrong, I loved seeing Maverick love Hendrix out loud and boldly. It’s something that like Hendrix, I sometimes do not think will happen to me. But to its core, this book is also a love letter between mother and daughter. And while I did not have the privilege of watching my mom grow as old as Hendrix’s mom, I did have the opportunity to be reminded of the good times, the memories, the sweetness of her, the loudness of her laughter, the warmth of her soul, the essence of Betty.
So, once again, I’m thanking Kennedy for writing books that not only tackle tough issues, but also for writing book that can speak to the core of one’s soul. In her books, I’ve learned not only the importance of romantic love, but also the platonic love for friends and colleagues, and most importantly, the love that you SHOULD give to yourself.

Devoured this book in no time.
Ryan balances those heavy hitting topics perfectly and with such care. The depth she gives her stories and her characters makes them incredibly relatable, and the plots realistic and highly thought and emotion provoking.
This book was no different. Hendrix truly shined here — I related heavily as a fellow caregiver to my father years ago prior to his passing. Her ability to juggle that, being a business woman and keeping the romance alive is incredibly hard and she did all of that and more with some incredible grace.
Top notch writing with great pacing and a plot that packs a punch. 10/10!

I love Kennedy Ryan. There is no author that can balance steam, trauma, and relationships like she can. We’re talking like 4/5 on the spice level for this book folks, yet also tearful moments about a mother with Alzheimers. I also love reading billionaire boyfriend tropes. Especially ones that are humble like Maverick. This was my favorite out of the Skyland series and I highly recommend if you like a steamy romance with plot!
Imagine having a boyfriend that is in Tokyo that charters a private jet to come home when your mom is in the hospital? Imagine a man sending you dozens of champaign roses to show that he is interested? Well that is Maverick Bell. Maybe one of my new favorite book boyfriends. The man is tall, dark, handsome, kind, and a private billionaire who will stop at nothing to land the girl of his dreams: Hendrix.
Hendrix is a successful agent and venture capital firm owner. She takes pride in being a fierce independent woman who doesn’t need a family or a man to feel accomplished. She heads down to Miami for a white party hosted by the one and only Zere (former model) and Maverick Bell. Maverick takes note of Hendrix the second he see’s her lighting up the dance floor and getting the crowd going. He introduces himself and feels an immediate spark. After a short conversation (about her venture capital firm and her mother’s Alzheimers diagnosis) he knows he wants to be in this woman’s life. His ex Zere will make it complicated as her and Hendrix work together. After the party, Maverick finds Hendrix’s number and begins to call and text her. They form a fast friendship and even fall asleep watching tv together on the phone. Maverick knows this virtual relationship isn’t enough and will stop at nothing until Hendrix gives him a chance. Hendrix slowly comes around and these two begin their whirlwind romance: living in Malibu, chartering jets, going to Waffle House, and creating gardens. It’s not an easy road, with Hendrix’s sick mother, lawsuits, and broken friendships, but these two have each other’s back through thick and thin.
Read it.

Mrs. Kennedy Ryan has done it again! I have been waiting for Hendrix's book and it did not disappoint. I love this series. What a beautiful portrayal of what female friendship should look like and waiting for the live you deserve.

I love this story.
It's so rare we find a heroine who does not want children who doesn't end up having them at all in the entire book.
Hendrix is who I want to be in my future (rich auntie vibes)
I LOVE how much Maverick loves her and shows up for her.
Kennedy Ryan gets my 5 stars almost every single ride and this series ended with an amazing book!

This was one of my most anticipated new books this year and it somehow still surpassed my expectations. I love Kennedy Ryan’s Skyland series because yes they’re romance (I mean she writes swoony romance with the best of them obviously - Hen and Mav 4ever) but more than that, they explore so many complex themes. Hendrix’s journey as a caregiver to her mom is so thoughtfully written and moving. As always, there’s also an incredible depiction of female friendship and how we build our community around us. I adore the Skyland women and am grateful to Kennedy Ryan for writing this beautiful series. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC!

Kennedy!! Ryan!! Is who tf she thinks she is!! Thank you!! Thank you!! She ate downnnnnn so bad!! Hendrix is just amazing!! Plus size bold black confident, self assured and a go getter being perused and loved on hard!!!!?!?! Yes pls! I loved this book so much! I just loved Hendrix’s story so much! Hendrix was vulnerable, hilarious, loving and emotional! She deserved this love! Mav is a fantastic MMC! He loved Hen down! Did not play about her at all!! My guy was catch flights like mad! He was down baddd for Hen!! Loved that for Hen!! Im just so glad the trials and tribulations werent trial and tribulating like the last two bc i was ready to fight lmaoo love the 1st two absolutely however im just really happy with Hendrix’s story!! The only trial which honestly was it bc Zere was soo annoying to me! How you in a relationship pressed about your old relationship dpmo idc idc!! I loved seeing all of Hen’s relationships from her friends to colleagues and her family! I related so much to Hen as a plus size woman! I related so much as a social worker with Hen managing her mom’s condition. Another thing, when Kennedy Ryan says she researches, know she truly is about that life! I see this all the time with my patients and its so hard on them and their families! Kennedy handled this with so much love and grace for caregivers and it was so needed! Burnout is real yall for caregivers so thank you so this! Furthermore, no spoilers but if youre fan of Kennedy Ryan then youll be pleased with the little character updates from past books! Overall, amazing love story for badass women everywhere! Badass women who know themselves and never negotiate to be loved! Childless women by choice this one is for you! 4.5 rounded up💫 it’s always bittersweet to see a series end!! My Skyland besties🥹🫶
Hendrix has always been the cool, independent, rich Auntie but now it’s her time to shine!! And with no surprise Kennedy Ryan packed an emotional punch🥲
Starting with the personal authors note of her own experience with the disease to the epilogue this was an emotional but uplifting love story! We watch Hendrix navigate being a caretaker for her mother as she battles Alzheimer’s, still be a badass successful business woman, and finally find the perfect love for her without sacrificing her independence👏 and we love to see it!!💛
I loved the Soledad and Yasmin’s appearances and the special friendship these women share! The black joy and struggles Ryan so strongly highlights! And Mav?! An iconic book boyfriend😌 I mean he’s a billionaire hottie surfer with a heart of gold?! Yes please!

This was the child free by choice romance book I have hoped for. I loved Hendrix. She was full of ambition, strength, and fortitude. She knew what she wanted and didn’t let anything get in the way while also not depriving herself of being happy. And Mav? Perfection. I loved this book and it has the best acknowledgement section I have ever read.

I knew this book was going to hit me hard as the "single friend" of the group but I was not prepared. Hedrix is a beautifully written character who is not only is self assure but learning when to be vulnerable. Between the love that unexpectedly finds her and her battle to help her mom, I found myself emotional the majority of the book. Now don't think it is all tense, Can't Get Enough is also laugh out loud hilarious. Overall I had a good time , the entire time and I will be reading this again.
The only negative was I wished we got more time with her friends, she is so independent that was reflected in the limited amount of time we got with the characters we have already grown to love.

What a beautiful tribute to sisterhood and female friendship the Skyland series is. I am so filled with love and gratitude for my girlfriends after sitting with how this series ended for a couple hours.
Can't Get Enough is centered on Hendrix, who was a favorite supporting character of mine in the first two books in this series—she is the carefree, plus-sized, brown-skinned, childless-by-choice, rich auntie that is dependable, cool, and full of life! So when I say I needed Kennedy Ryan to come real hard when it came to giving Hendrix the love she deserved, I meant that! And Maverick more than delivered for me. He was attentive, kind-hearted, and completely serious about Hendrix, and the way he pursued and wooed her gave early 00s Black romance movie, which I LOVED. But enough about him LOL.
There is, with all Kennedy Ryan stories, a story that takes up a lot of space: Hendrix's mother is living with dementia, and a lot of this story is about Hendrix's journey trying to juggle her ever-expanding career with an ailing mother, aging auntie, her friendships, and a new love. Ryan strikes a delicate balance here; Hendrix's family dynamic especially resonated with me because I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer's and am very involved with the care of my parents as they get older. Her friendship dynamic also hit home with me because I am so blessed to love and be loved by my girlfriends. I found the social commentary surrounding Hendrix's work to be poignant and timely, and I hope that certain types of readers will meet her halfway in that extremely important conversation as the world continues to go the way it's going. I adore that Kennedy writes about real-life issues in real-time, but something about this book felt very ~for me~ and I am glad I read it when I did.
I said to a friend that this book feels different from the others in this series because art, in general, feels different right now. More impassioned, more introspective, less joyful, in a way. Hendrix experiences joy a ton in this book, but she is also melancholic and reflective, and that tone resonated deeply with me. This book also feels different because Hendrix IS different—I don't think I've read a female main character like this from Ryan ever, and that means that this book read different colloquially, culturally, etcetera. I really enjoyed reading this type of writing from Ryan and hope to see more of it! Ryan refers to a quote by Nina Simone, pasted below, that I think really sums of the essence of what I'm trying to say here, and I think serves as a call to action to engage with art in a way that meets the artist halfway in their intention:
"An artist's duty, as far as I'm concerned, is to reflect the times. I think that is true of painters, sculptors, poets, musicians. As far as I'm concerned, it's their choice, but I CHOOSE to reflect the times and situations in which I find myself. That, to me, is my duty. And at this crucial time in our lives, when everything is so desperate, when everyday is a matter of survival, I don't think you can help but be involved. Young people, black and white, know this. That's why they're so involved in politics. We will shape and mold this country or it will not be molded and shaped at all anymore. So I don't think you have a choice. How can you be an artist and NOT reflect the times? That to me is the definition of an artist."
While I will say I struggled with Maverick being a billionaire—I just don't think there's a way to ethically be one, even if you're super charitable and kind—I will also say that is very much a me thing. I've never hesitated to pick up a billionaire romance in the past, so I didn't think twice about my willingness to dive into this one, but I also want to be honest that the private chartered planes didn't land with me, pun intended. I loved his family dynamic as well, and I always love how Ryan's male main characters border on being fantasy characters with how soft they are with the women they love! We often see billionaire romance with alphahole MMCs but baybeee there's something about Maverick where he doesn't even have to do all that but points were made just the same.
Oh and Zere—go sit down somewhere LOL.

this book was a stunning conclusion to the trilogy of romances following our trifecta of powerful black women in Atlanta. I loved Hendrix‘s conclusion, especially because it brought together Soledad and Yasmen and concluded their stories in a beautiful and harmonious way. Seeing two successful Black leads navigate romance in a mature levelheaded way was phenomenal in a reading experience. The lack of miscommunication took a huge weight off my shoulders but did not take away from the tension of the plot.

Kennedy Ryan never fails to deliver a romance that draws you in from the very start!

Can't Get Enough tells Hendrix's story, and like many of you I'm sure, I was highly anticipating her story after getting to read what a BOSS she is in the first two books of the Skyland series. Strong. Independent. High Achiever. Fun. Confident. Fabulous friend and auntie. She knows who she is, what she wants, and doesn't hesitate to go after her aspirations. And you see this here. You also see another side to her. A more vulnerable side. And it's in this, that she connects with Maverick. A tech mogul billionaire who takes one look at her, and knows he wants to know more.
This story is about so much more than romance. The author doesn't hesitate to dive into tough topics that are real, and current. But the romance... It was lust at first sight and I was here for it. They get to know one another though, sharing a common connection. There is some forbidden vibes, but not really forbidden vibes you have to read to know... But the tension and chemistry between these two was off the charts. Like, it oozed off the pages. And when it finally implodes... dang. That coat closet scene!?! But the tender care that Maverick brings as well, it made me swoon. Just the way he SHOWED UP. When you know, you know, and these two don't make it hard despite obstacles in their way. I adored them together. A powerhouse couple.
While this story pulled me in right away, it did loose a little steam for me in the second half. There was some repetition too. And the pacing felt off in places. But overall I really enjoyed Hen & Mav's story. The family and friend dynamics. The women's fierce friendships. The easter egg character drop in's from other series. The nod to Port Charles (cracked me up). A devastating medical condition. A timely civil rights case. It all made for a great story that will not only make you feel, but inspire, and make you think.

Kennedy Ryan does it again! I absolutely loved this final installment to the Skyland series. Seeing Hendrix (the rich auntie lol) finally get her happy ending was everything. And don’t get me started on Maverick! My man my man my man!!! He did not play about Hendrix and it was so beautiful to see their chemistry and love grow. And in true Kennedy Ryan fashion, this story had so many moments that had me reaching for the tissues. I absolutely adored this story.
Thank you Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for the early copy.

I couldn’t put Can’t Get Enough down—it’s that addictive as with all book by Kennedy Ryan!!! Kennedy Ryan crafts a story that pulls you right in with witty dialogue, sizzling chemistry, and characters that feel like old friends.
I was completely absorbed by the blend of humor and heartfelt moments, and the tension kept me eagerly turning pages.
The book strikes a perfect balance between playful banter and emotional depth, making every twist feel both surprising and satisfying. If you’re in the mood for a romance that’s as smart as it is steamy, this one’s a must-read for me!

There is nothing except pure magic that comes from reading a book from Kennedy. I don't know where she pulls from to write such heartfelt and powerful novels but she seems to have an endless supply of it.
I have been craving Hendrix's story since the moment I met her in the first book of this series. Kennedy did not disappoint and fell so in love with how fierce and loyal Hendrix was. Maverick was the perfect match for her and you can't help but swoon over this man and the way he craves to take care of Hendrix and give her soul a safe place to rest.
Kennedy is constantly pushing the envelope and writing stories that are powerful and meaningful. This book hits you in the heart. As someone who watched their parent take care of their aging parent, this book feels like it was pulled from my own brain. It hurts but it's important.
With every book I read from Kennedy I just fall more in love with her talent again and again. Everyone should be reading her books.

Kennedy Ryan does not miss. She is, without a doubt, one of the best romance writers of our time. Her ability to craft characters that feel so real, so nuanced, is unparalleled. Even when they are vastly different from me, or even morally gray, I get them. That’s the magic of her storytelling. She also doesn’t shy away from tough topics, illness, mental health, political issues, and in today’s world, that depth is more necessary than ever. She’s the perfect example of an author who gives romance so much more than just love, she gives it meaning.
This book follows Hendrix, a beautiful, plus-size, intelligent woman in her early 40s. She is childless by choice, living a full, rich life, but love has never been easy to find. That doesn’t mean she hasn’t found joy. Then she meets Maverick Bell, a billionaire who is handsome, brilliant, but emotionally unavailable. Their attraction is undeniable, but the love that blossoms between them is just as complicated as it is breathtaking.
Amidst this, Hendrix is facing a devastating reality, her mother has Alzheimer’s. Watching her navigate this life-changing diagnosis while balancing love, family, and her own needs was deeply moving.
This book hit me right in my feelings. There were moments of laughter, moments of pain, and above all, a stunning love story between two people whose only goal was to be good to each other. It was raw, real, and beautiful, just like so many of Kennedy Ryan’s other books.
