I’ve been anticipating Hendrix’s story since I started reading the Skyland series, and let me just say it did not disappoint.

Walking through Hendrix’s challenges with her was something so special. Maybe because she was the last friend we got a story for? Or maybe because she is so strong, so confident and so brave, that it was nice to see her find a man who could match her and keep her sparkle ✨

I love the strong female friendships this series represents, but I also love how each friend finds herself along the way - in life, love, family and all things in between.

Also - no third act breakup 👏🏼

Hendrix Barry, a successful woman with big dreams, faces her toughest challenge yet—caring for an aging parent—while navigating a complicated romance with the alluring, off-limits tech mogul Maverick Bell.

Our last trip to Skyland 😭 but it was with my favorite character, Hendrix. This is because I see myself in Hendrix. Someone who is alone, but wants companionship deep down. Someone who found some of her best girls later in life. Someone who is older than your typical romance book heroine (40s?? Yes please!!). As I creep toward 40 (I’m 36 now) with no sign of a romantic love in my life, I appreciate an older FMC. Gives us girls some hope.

Anyway!! I loved Hendrix’s journey in this book. The scenes with her mother?! I was a puddle. Watching how she tried her best, relied on others, and figured out the best way forward with love and support from her friends and family pit me in my feelings.

Mav treated her sooooooo good and she deserved it. Their scenes were so hot I was breathless reading them. That first time in the coat closet had me like 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨. The dual POV was so good.

I also loved how centered the story was on Black women building their businesses and PLEASE do not miss the author’s note for a deeper explanation on the third act lawsuit. I had fire in my bones.

Great final Skyland outing. 💜 thanks @kennedyryan1

Like all of Kennedy’s books that I’ve read, Can’t Get Enough mixes real world issues with romance quite masterfully. I love reading books where Black women are getting loved the way they deserve! Kennedy continues to show readers the full spectrum and range of human emotions in this novel, as she has in her others as well. The spice in this was well written, & though this book isn’t my favorite of the Skyland series, I believe it will be a heavy hitter in its own rights in the romance genre.

Edit: Upon further reflection of my experience with this novel, I would be remorse if I didn’t also touch on the themes of female friendship through this. I loved how Hendrix kept leaning on her friends for support & advice. The themes of community is probably my favorite take from this book.

Thank you to Kennedy, Forever Pub, & NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Amazing! Kennedy's ability to write stories with immense passion and depth is admirable. The way she writes the sisterhood and friendship is so refreshing. Her dedication in the beginning sets the tone of the book and the messages illustrated were clear by the end. I really appreciated Hendrix's story and the romance was phenomenal as well.
Thank you so much Forever for this advanced copy!

I love this one!! Wild to say that this was my first Kennedy Ryan book ever and I am kicking myself for. It reading her sooner! The prose is beautiful and I loved the plot line that cover Hendrix helping her mom who had Alzheimer’s. The way that she and Maverick connected through there trauma was beautiful, There were parts that dragged a bit for me but overall, this was a super enjoyable read

Kennedy Ryan is a top 3 romance author for me. I devoured the first two Skyland books and was thrilled to get an ARC of Can't Get Enough. Hendrix is a successful, independent, childless by choice woman who meets Maverick, a billionaire, and very recent ex boyfriend of a woman who she does business with. The attraction is immediate but Hendrix wants to avoid the messiness that is sure to ensue with the ex if. Their relationship and the romance were great but what I loved most about the book was the exploration of deeper topics and social issues. Hendrix is caring for an aging parent, running a badass venture capital group focused on Black business owners, prioritizing her female friendships and so many other real and complex things. Kennedy successfully weaves in a storyline that is very similar to case from 2013 where a VC was sued for "racially discriminating" against non Black business owners. I really appreciate her ability to do all these things in a romance book. This wasn't exactly a light read but it was so satisfying. It can definitely be read as a standalone but the first and second book in the series are so good so don't miss those either.

Thank you to Forever for the ARC

I loved this one! I think this is probably my favorite in the series just because Hendrix is so different from her best friends. They are all so so successful but I don’t know, Hendrix is just different and I love her. Also highly recommend sticking around for the authors note because I personally learned so much about something that fictionally happened in this book really happened in North Carolina where I live. This book was great and taught me something and I love that.

Another great addition to this series!! Romantic, heartfelt, and with plenty of depth, this did not disappoint. Great chemistry and tension really carried this for me.

To give this book any less than 5 stars would be a crime against humanity! This book follows Hendrix Barry as she navigates her career, love, and caring for her aging parent.

I loved the romance this book! The connection between Maverick and Hendrix was electric. He really understood Hendrix and was willing to fight for her! I also thought that the realities of dealing with an aging parent was depicted well and handled with care!

If you enjoyed the other books in the series, you’ll enjoy this on as well!

Give Kennedy Ryan all the flowers and every accolade because she never misses! In her upcoming release, “Can’t Get Enough,” she delivers another five-star fabulous masterpiece that teaches, inspires and tells a love story worthy of all the swooning.

“Can’t Get Enough” is book three in Kennedy’s beautiful and brilliant Skyland series, which follows the lives of Atlanta-based friends Yasmen, Soledad and Hendrix. This time, we’re stepping into the world of Hendrix Barry. Hendrix is a determined go-getter who has made clear goals for her life, and she is achieving them one by one. Maverick Bell presents a surprising interruption to her carefully curated life.

I love that we get to take the journey with Hendrix and Maverick. The attraction is instant, but there is a slow burn build-up to their love story that is so good.

Like “This Could Be Us,” this book ministered to my soul. The message that stuck with me this time was: know what you want, don't settle for less, and wait for your time. As Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “God makes everything beautiful in its time.” When the time is right, what’s for you will find you, and nobody can take it away.

Thank you to @readforeverpub and NetGalley for providing this ARC.

“Can’t Get Enough” comes out May 13.

If Saving the Best For last was in Book Form…

The best way to experience that saying would be to read Can’t Get Enough. Kennedy Ryan didn’t miss when she saved the best story for last to wrap up the Skyland Series. I giggled and kicked my feet as I immersed myself in the story. I also related to the story more than I thought I would with my own personal experience of bearing the weight of caring for a loved one.

Our story starts off with our girl Hendrix going home to visit her mother only to be confronted with the harsh truth that her mothers health is on the decline. Having to juggle a career and a life in one state and your elderly mother in a different state is no easy feat. Especially when she is on the brink of fulfilling a dream of hers in her career. Hendrix is at a place in her life that she knows what she wants and worked very hard for the life that she lives. She’s perfectly content with having her family and her girls in her life, the last thing she needs is a relationship.

Maverick Bell has always been one to know when to take risks in life. Having just increased his net worth most recently and upgraded his status to billionaire; he always knew when it was time to let go of things that didn’t serve him and move on. It’s no surprise that his next deal just so happens to be one he’s not willing to back down from. Winning Hendrix Barry’s heart is the ultimate risk he’s betting on.

While I personally don’t have a loved one I’ve had the chance to care for that has been affected by Alzheimer’s, I have been the one to carry the burden of being responsible to take care and look after a loved one’s health. Kennedy does a wonderful job of not just speaking on the topic but allows you, the reader, to feel and get close to the idea of how stressful and heartbreaking a role like that is. She doesn’t just let you witness it from Hendrix POV, but you also get to see a glimpse of the experience from Mavericks POV as well. It’s through that mutual experience they’ve shared that you see why these characters form an unbreakable relationship. They are able to grow and nurture that love for each other but also support one another.

You may call me biased because every single book I’ve read from Kennedy Ryan has always been rated a 5 star read. I don’t give the title of her being a 5 star Author lightly. When reading her stories, you read all the hard work and research that goes into the story come through her penmanship. She truly knows how to give the reader a gift with her stories. This was an excellent way to end the Skyland series.

3.5 stars

I was late to jump on the Kennedy Ryan train, but Before I Let Go and This Could Be Us were two of my top favourite books of 2024. I was excited for Hendrix’s story because she piqued my curiosity in the first two books. She was clearly a great friend and aunt, a badass boss lady, and there were various little nuggets dropped throughout the first two books that had me wanting to know more about her.

It breaks my heart to admit that I was a bit disappointed by this book. I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out what it was that kept me from connecting with Hendrix and Maverick as fully as I connected with Yasmen and Soleded and their romances, but I can’t figure it out. I just know parts of the story fell flat for me and I found myself thinking repeatedly that the story was dragging.

With that being said, there were definitely things I enjoyed about the book. I loved that Hendrix owned who she was unapologetically. As a woman who’s childfree by choice, I appreciated that aspect of the story, especially since Yas and Sol were both mothers and that was a big part of their stories. I loved that Hen knew what she wanted - and didn’t want - and wasn’t afraid to go after it and make it work. I enjoyed seeing Yasmen and Soledad and their kids and spouses again. This trio is one of my favourite fictional female friendships, and I wish I had women like that in my life. I went back and forth on the romance; like I said, there was just something that kept me from connecting fully or getting invested. I did appreciate that Mav was willing to do anything for Hendrix and that he was a true partner, which is what a woman like Hendrix needed. She had been independent for so long and was used to doing things on her own, so it would clearly take someone extraordinary to make her open her heart and life, and I feel like Mav was that guy.

kennedy ryan does it again!!! yes, it's a romance, tender and real and beautifully portrayed, but it's so much more than that -- it's a story of strong female friendships, and caring for aging family members, and balancing business and pleasure, and second chances, and vulnerability, and learning how to let someone truly in all the way. it's beautiful. and we LOVE to see a woman (and a man!) choose to be child-free!!! and live a full life!!!

gah, so good.

The Dedication, Cover, and the Authors Note are all amazing! This was a bitter sweet slow burn! Book 3 in the series and I wanted to savor every second of it. Hendrix has always been the character that stood out and I couldn’t wait to dive into her story. Honestly, it wasn’t what I expected but I found it to be even more satisfying than I had imagined. Kennedy Ryan can absolutely write a romance novel, but it’s her ability to write complex characters and storylines that keeps me coming back for more. In this book we get more of Hendrix, we see how multidimensional she is as she balances being an entrepreneur and caregiver. We also meet our MMC Maverick and he is just what Hendrix deserves. I like how his character complimented Hendrix and reaffirmed her life choices. This book does explore some hot topic issues to include childless by choice, rich auntie lifestyle, and medical red tape just to name a few. But as always Kennedy Ryan does a great job researching these topics and delivering them in the most positive and thought provoking manner. As a geriatric social worker, I appreciate the way in which she handled the character POV and the caregiver perspective of an older adult living with Alzheimer’s. Overall I think this book fits perfectly into the Skyland series as it adds additional obstacles that women may face in life and how there is love, hope, and healing on the other side.

Hendrix, the woman that you are! There is so much drama that happens in this book, but as usual, Kennedy Ryan manages to make this feel so grounded.

I really am not into billionaire romances so I struggled with some aspects of this at first, but Mav really won me over.

While the heart of this story is the romance, the entire plotline with Hendrix's mom was heartbreaking and felt incredibly realistic. There is no writer I trust more than Kennedy to write about heavy topics in a romance.

I love this entire series and I'm very sad it's over. Thank. you to Forever and Netgalley for the chance to be able to read one of my most anticipated 2025 releases early!

So thankful for this ARC!

Hendrix’s story was so worth the wait! We’ve watched Hendrix as a seemingly carefree and highly confident friend to Yasmin & Soledad. She puts a smile on our faces with her quick witted comments and reliable nature. Although we know Hendrix has been dealing with some difficulties with her moms diagnoses, we always see her handling business and assuming her role of the rich Auntie that want's nothing if the ROI isn't in the green - especially a relationship. Until now, when we're introduced to a man that actually captures her attention and it is not without a major internal conflict.

In this book we’re finally able to get into the depths of her mom’s diagnosis, and how that weaves itself into her day-to-day decision making and emotional state. Also worth noting that this third installment of the Skyland series is by far the steamiest. Kennedy Ryan knows how to write tension between her characters and she proves it even more with Hendrix and the main man in this story - Billionaire, Maverick Bell. Hendrix’ story is one of vulnerability and evolution - but also, PASSION. A lot of it.

One of my favorite elements of this trilogy is what I call the secondary love story here - the one between our girls! We get, what feels like less of the girls spending time together in this installment, but I still felt like their friendship was such a core part of the story. The LOVE each other. They push each other to grow. They check each other when needed and they make sure they know they've got each other no matter what. The depth friendships from this trilogy will always stick with me.

This story was incredibly well-paced. It takes place over such a short timeframe but the connection between the two characters still feels reasonable considering their shared passions, places in life and personality types. There's a good balance of the more humorous moments, and emotional ones.

Can’t Get Enough is the third book in the Skyland series by Kennedy Ryan and this is Hendrix’s book. I have been looking forward to her story since book one and this was all that I could have dreamed of!

I feel like this book really looks behind the walls that Hendrix has up in the first two books. She has always kind of been a fun character but in this book, it explores a lot more of her including her relationship with her mother who has Alzheimers. Hendrix is still a very strong character but she has a lot on her shoulders.

I thought that Maverick was such a good match for her. While their connection is pretty instant, it makes sense for them. Hendrix has a little bit of a wild past so seeing someone come into her life that she feels a spark with felt magical.

I love the way Kennedy Ryan addresses heavier subjects in her books in a way that feels so real. Hendrix is childfree by choice and that is a decision that is brought up a lot but she never wavers. I think the way this book handles the subject of Alzheimer’s was done very well and made me tear up a few times.

I loved this book. I love this series. It’s so refreshing to read romance books about nature and capable characters. I can’t wait to see what comes next from this author.

Since the beginning of the Skyland series, I’ve been saying “Kennedy Ryan is writing my soul”. From understanding the how/why with Yas, to reclaiming by identity with Sol, and now navigating the beauty of unexpected outcomes alongside Hen…every step of the way KR pushed resilience and reminders that there will be joy on the other side of these uncomfortable moments. So, imagine my shock when half way through the book and packs of tissues, I realized KR isn’t just writing my soul - she’s writing the soul of EVERY woman that is committed to growth, that’s evolving and stepping through some tough ish to become a better them.

I knew I’d love Hen…she’s the friend we all admire and maybe even envy a little bit. I just didn’t realize how much I’d love Hendrix. Ever confident, this in depth look into her world reminded that everyone is going through something, some just hide it really well. Overlooking the amazing love story (because that was a given with KR)…I really enjoyed that Hendrix adjusted her vision of what it meant to be happy without sacrificing the big picture of what she wanted - success, freedom, love.

My absolutely FAVORITE part of book 3, was the dynamic of Hen, her mom and Aunt G. Expertly written with compassion, Kennedy Ryan, held space for something that isn’t talked about enough in the black community. She gave a voice to the primary caregivers, the family members that help where they can and those directly living through the changes. She reminded that everyone is impacted, coping, and scared. My mom was a caregiver, and the sincerity and honesty of some scenes brought tearful memories of my grandmother. I need Can’t Get Enough to be suggested reading for some of these national organizations, that while offering help may not be addressing some of the raw emotions that the family will endure. Kennedy Ryan wrote the raw, unapologetic and not so pretty side of loving unconditionally and forever.

There’s so much more than can be done with the Skyland characters, so many “what now” thoughts about the couples and kids, that I hope this isn’t the end. Yet, I know through these or new characters, KR will leave each of us feeling seen and hopeful.

Book clubs and friends that seek my recommendations, go ahead add this to the list. I’ll give a pub day reminder, and answer your tearful and/or self-reflective calls in May. 😉

🛑Read on with caution; review may contain spoilers🛑

I have always admired Hendrix early in the Skyland series, and she really stood out in Can’t Get Enough. She’s determined and screams girl power with everything she does, from fighting for black women’s rights to self-love, you name it! But what actually amazed me more about her character was how she rejected Maverick, a wealthy and intelligent man who could definitely do almost anything for her in a blink of an eye, several times to accomplish her and her clients’ goals and dreams. Despite her strong attraction to Maverick, she was determined not to pursue her growing feelings for him. But as determined as she was, Maverick was even more determined and convinced her to be with him with his best intentions. I really enjoyed the tension they had and how they really had to fight their attraction to each other.

Not a lot of people could relate to having a direct relative with Alzheimer’s and while Ryan depicted how difficult it is to care for someone diagnosed with it, she also showed ways on how to handle episodes of it.

Can’t Get Enough is a heartwarming and steamy conclusion to the Skyland series. I would definitely miss Soledad, Yasmen and Hendrix and how their stories were all about black women empowerment and rising above the challenges they encounter, and of course the steamy romances each woman had with each novel.

She has done it AGAIN! This book was truly a joy to read, and I feel honored to have been able to read it before it is available on shelves.

This beautifully written story of "Aunt Hen" was such a breath of fresh air! Typically, Hendrix gives off "Rich Auntie vibes" at all times, but this book gave us a chance to really dive into who she is underneath the exterior and enabled us to see her softer, more vulnerable side. She is such an amazing black woman, and I love how Kennedy Ryan highlights that every chance she gets, in almost any novel written by her.

Hendrix's story was so raw and real, I could relate to many of the struggles, feelings, and difficulties she faced! On top of trying to navigate her busy career, she's trying to navigate her feelings of love -- she is more than deserving!

I hope everyone loves this book as much as I did!
