📚 Read if you like: fantasy romance, pirates, rebellions, nonbinary rep, MFNB romance, spicy romance
This is the third and final book in the Crimson Sails series and I thought it was a satisfying end! This one was my fav in the series story-wise but Maeve and Lizzie remain my fav couple and relationship. I really enjoyed the world building and variety of characters in this series and was excited for l Nox’s story after enjoying them in the rest of the series. I enjoyed the relationship between the three of them but was surprised that there was only one spicy scene - very atypical for Katee Robert’s work. But this one for me was more about the overall plot of the rebellion in Threshold and I was very satisfied with how it ended. I definitely recommend this series to fans of Katee Robert’s work and lovers of nautical fantasy romance and a great selection for Pride month! Thank you to Berkley for the free eARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was not my favorite Katee Robert book/series, I have come to realize - this plot line just doesn't do it for me unfortunately. And I definitely appreciate Robert's spice so it is disappointing when it doesn't show up until almost 70% into the book.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a digital ARC of this title!

This is the third in the series! Loved continuing the journey with Nox, Sebastian and Siobhan. The backstory and tension between these three is intense.
This was a great conclusion to this series! Loved the supernatural characters and this was such an adventure. Not as spicy but those scenes were worked up to for them. It was a lot of longing and slow burn.

3.5⭐️ Robert struck the perfect balance of plot to spice in book three! While polyamory can sometimes feel uneven in its execution, here it felt natural, no pairing was obviously stronger. The history and dynamics between the three of them drew me in and kept me invested in their happy ending. I also loved all the callbacks to past characters! I had a fun time and it’s a satisfying conclusion to the series. I think Blood On The Tide is still my favorite, but this one comes in as a close second!
**Thank you to Berkley Romance and NetGalley for providing me an advanced copy! All opinions are my own.**

I loved each one of these paranormal pirate romances. Nox was always so fun to hear from in the other installments, so it was lovely to get their own throuple love story. Pacing was a bit rushed but knowing this was ending a series it's not that big of a deal.
Overall, such a fun read.

Thanks for the ARC! This was a bold, emotional finale with strong character dynamics and high-stakes tension. Nox’s journey came full circle in a way that felt earned, and the complicated history between them, Bastian, and Siobhan added real depth. The pacing was solid, and the world of Threshold remained just as rich and dangerous. A satisfying close to an intense, character-driven trilogy.

This book was definitely a surprise to me! The first two installments were very spicy and felt more romance/spice focused. This book was not that, and it surprised me because this is when we get to the throuple! That being said, this book did NOT suffer for lack of spicy scenes, and honestly the emphasis on character building and plot development actually made those scenes feel more emotional. I really loved Nyx, Siobhan, and Bastian together. They all complement each other so well, and the non-binary rep was *chefs kiss*. I really feel like Katee Robert just does such a good job with representation. Its well done and well written, and it just makes it such a pleasure to read. I also loved loved loved the ending! Nox/Siobhan/Bastian are such relationship goals by the end of this book!!

This is the final book of Katee Robert's Crimson Sailts trilogy. I would argue that it could be read as a stand-alone alone but if you may lose some of the fun nuggets and connections woven into Rebel in the Deep. The conclusion is a satisfying end to the trilogy and as a standalone book.
I would argue that this isn't a super spicy book but offers inclusion, a fun triad, and one well-written spicy scene about halfway through. As this is not something that I would normally expect from this author, the lack of spice is definitely worth mentioning.

What a joy it was to be back in this world even if it is the last one of the series. Ive always loved Nox and wanted a story about them. This book tore me apart and then put me back together when i thought it wouldn’t happen. The relationship was so deep and just heartbreaking when it first starts. But I loved these three hooligans. Also we got to see past characters from the two books before!! My sweetie babies Bowen and Evelyn i love them so much. I almost started crying when he was in the line of fire like dont you dare! Then my two chaotic sapphic babes Lizzie and Maeve who made me swoon seeing them in love and attached to the hip still hehe. Same goes for Maeve putting herself in danger! Im relieved with the ending because i was already bawling from what happened. i will miss this world.

Thank you Netgalley and Berkley Publishing Group | Berkley for the free e-arc. My opinions are being left voluntarily. If Katee Robert writes it I'm gonna gobble it up with a spoon. They write some of my absolute favourite taboo, forbidden inclusive reads and throughly enjoy the ride. I love the poly second chance relationship.
4.5/5☆
Suggest reading the series.

What would you risk for the good of others? What about for your own happiness? 💭💔
Rebel in the Deep answers both with a fierce and fiery “everything.” This latest installment in Katee Robert’s ocean-set PNR series is a wild, thrilling ride where monsters lurk beneath the surface — and feelings run just as deep. 🐙🔥
Three characters. One rebel mission. All of them scarred by love in different ways — but when danger strikes, they can’t help but act on the emotions simmering between them. It’s steamy, it’s bold, and it’s oh-so-Katee. 💘⚠️
Expect high-stakes action, political intrigue, epic fights, and plenty of Katee’s trademark passion. I was hooked from page one to the last breathless moment. 💥📖

The third installment in this series picks up with Nox's perspective. We also meet Siobhan, the rebel leader, once again. She has appeared to tell Nox that their friend and former lover Bastian has been taken hostage for torture by the head of the Cŵn Annwn, aka: Siobhan's sister. They have to rescue Bastian or the entire rebellion will be at risk. Also, rescuing Bastian is going to be super difficult and oh, Nox and Bastian used to be an item...until Siobhan. The threads and drama are pretty great and once the action starts it really doesn't stop.
I enjoyed Rebel in the Deep. I still consider Hunt on Dark Waters as my favorite of the three, but now that all three are released I plan to read them all in a row to see how I like them without any wait in between. Although the spice was at a much lower level in this novel, I still enjoyed the polycule of lovers. The magic system, rebellion and action are still very well written and I loved Katee Robert's take on the pirate genre. A very satisfying ending for the series. I will also add, anyone who has read Katee's other books will notice the nod here and there to a connected universe. Fabulous! Absolutely fabulous!

REBEL IN THE DEEP is the third ( and final?) instalment in Katee Robert’s adult CRIMSON SAILS erotic, fantasy adventure series. This is Nox, Bastian and Siobhan’s story line. REBEL IN THE DEEP can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion as there is an ongoing premise throughout.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise including menage and same sex situations, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from three first person perspectives (Nox, Bastian and Siobhan) REBEL IN THE DEEP focuses on the ongoing rebellion against the Cwn Annwn. Nox is the captain of the ship Audacity, and a visit from Siobhan finds Nox facing the woman who is now in love with Nox’s ex but all is not well. Bastian disappeared months earlier, and Siobhan needs Nox’s help to rescue the man whom they both love. Bastian is the prisoner of Morrigan and the Cwn Annwan, but Morrigan is about to find herself facing a familiar foe, the woman who is about to come into the powers with the blow of the horn. With the rescue of Bastian, Nox and her crew go in search of a mythical horn, in an effort to ensure a ‘call the wild hunt’.
The world building is complex and detailed as Siobhan must face the reality that is her heritage and history. Nox struggles in the face of their possible death, a sacrifice to save the people they love. Bastian is caught between the two people with whom he has fallen in love but the reality is less complicated when they offer Bastian a chance at a happily ever after.
The relationship between Bastian, Nox and Siobhan is fraught with heart break and love. Bastian broken Nox’s heart to return to his homeland and accept the mantle of second in line but Bastian found himself on the run with Siobhan, one year later, once again breaking the heart of the woman he left behind but reconnecting with Nox means the journey to war, as the crew of the Audacity is on a mission of which they may not survive. The $ex scenes contain scenarios of menage and same $ex situations.
There is a large ensemble cast of magical, colorful and energetic secondary and supporting supernatural characters including shifters, vampire, selkie, witch, and elemental pirate. Most of the characters have some sort of magic, magic that wanes with the use of power.
REBEL IN THE DEEP is a story of magic and mayhem, power and control, betrayal and vengeance, love and acceptance. The character driven premise is intriguing and entertaining; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are desperate and determined.

I had the pleasure of reading this as an eARC from NetGalley….absolutely loved returning to this world! Honestly loved the characters and just couldn’t put this book down. Katee had me turning page after page!
If yall haven’t read this series, yall need to get on it!

This is the final book in the Crimson Sail series. Each book centers around a different couple, but there is an overarching plot throughout the three books so I would recommend reading in order.
I really enjoyed this entire series. Each book is fast paced and entertaining and I loved all of the characters. Rebel in the Deep had less spice than the previous books imo, but I felt like the emotional journey between the characters made up for it.

Katee, Katee, Katee. You always know how to write the most perfect, most queer, most fun romantasy series!
Something I love about this trilogy is they’re standalone romances between different characters but the plot and worldbuilding are a constant throughout the series all told in multi POV.
I would do anything for Nox and really their whole M/F/NB polycule. The angst is ANGSTING throughout this one and uff wow when I was 85% of the way through I was so tense & still didn’t know how the rebellion plot & the romance plot would ultimately pan out. UFF WHAT A BOOK WHAT A SERIES.

Rebel in the Deep by Katee Robert is an enthralling & action packed romantasy that’s an adventure of a rebellion taking place on the high seas when a captain is forced to save a long lost ex that broke their heart with their ex’s current love must help save them & their existence…what could possible go wrong?!
This is book #3 in the Crimson Sails series, which can be read as a standalone.
Rebel in the Deep is great for those looking to read…
🧡 MFX (Male Female Non-Binary Trio)
🧡 Forced Proximity
🧡 Second Chance Romance
🧡 Relationship Troubles
🧡 Oh Nos, My GF & My Ex Are Making Eyes at Each Other
Once you start this book, it captivates you right from away. Their world, their battles & their relationships encapsulate you & catapult you right into the thick of it. It’s easy to get lost into this book, which makes it my favorite type of story. Katee Robert is a brilliant writer & a creative genius with the imaginative worlds they create.
If you are looking for a rollercoaster of a story with magical creatures, a rebellion, relationships with history & present, spice & so much more all aboard a ship, I highly recommend diving into Rebel in the Deep!
Massive thanks to NetGalley & Berkley Publishing for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.

Fantastical, suspenseful, and action-packed!
In this third and final novel in the 𝘊𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴 series, REBEL IN THE DEEP, Nox finds herself not only having to survive the sea and all the dangers it has to offer, pirates, Kraken and more, but also having to confront the complex relationship they had with Bastian, and ultimately save him with the help of Siobhan, before it is too late.
The prose is intense and passionate. The characters are complex, fearless, and unique. And the plot is a riveting tale of twists, turns, passion, angst, betrayal, wrath, loyalty, sizzling tension, secrets, and supernatural abilities.
Overall, REBEL IN THE DEEP is an imaginative, seductive, highly entertaining tale by Robert that’s brimming with battles, grit, determination, heat, sexual chemistry, and other magical elements. It kept me invested and engaged until the very last page and is the fantastic conclusion to an adventure-filled series.

I just love the stories @katee_robert creates! They're fun easy reads that keep you engaged. The world building is 🔥 I loved the magic too. The characters are likable and easy to fall in love with! 4 ✨ from me. Thank you @berkleypub for the gifted ebook.

Happy publication day! The romance is peak Katee Robert. I have read many books by Katee Robert. This is the third in the series but I feel she writes in a way that you don't always have to upkeep with the previous books. The plot and writing is easy to read and fast paced for any reader with plot twists. The side characters were really reminiscent of the lost boys but older and funnier. I love the names of all the characters!
