3 Stars I was initially really excited for this one, but sadly, it was a bit of a letdown after the first two books in the series. I might just be in a bit of a book slump at the moment, but Riding the High was underwhelming. Cole and Ginger's dynamic seemed really promising heading into this one and I hoped it would live up to expectations. I usually love accidental marriage/marriage of convenience, but the plot sorta dragged for me. And it didn't feel like Cole and Ginger had much more to their relationship besides the banter that had been going on for years and the new physical side to their relationship introduced in this book.

Paisley Hope you’ve done it again!!! I have loved each and every one of the Silver Pines Ranch books, and this was no different! In true fashion, in fact, it became my new favorite of the three released! I love a single dad, and having him as the SHERIFF?????? THANK YOU PAISLEY!!! I loved how much background and story buildup there was between Cole and Ginger pre-timeline and pre-…everything that goes down :) It made everything that much more special and loving. Mabel was written so so perfectly. What a little ray of sunshine empath who stole! my! heart!!??! Ginger, beautiful Ginger, I’ve been so excited to get her story and I don’t think I could have asked for it to have been executed any better!

I love a Vegas wedding romance and I really enjoyed the first book in this series, so I was looking forward to digging into this. Unfortunately, the combination of “it’s always been you” and a manhoe hero gave me the ick, which was impossible to overcome. His past was referenced too many times for me to ignore it, which kept me emotionally disconnected from the love story and made it all too easy to see some flaws. I still loved the interconnectivity of the characters, catching up on the town, and the forbidden tension. Hope’s writing style is also perfect for bingeing, with an effortless readability and plenty of spice. If you’re a fan of friends to lovers romances with playboy heroes, then chances are you’ll have a great time with this one.

The story follows Cole and Ginger, two people who have been in each other’s lives for years. Though they love to bicker, they’re also good friends, and Cole wouldn’t have it any other way… even if he secretly harbors deeper feelings. So when Cole and Ginger wake up married after a drunken night in Vegas, it shakes the foundation of their relationship. They agree to stay married for a while to help Cole’s career, which brings them together in a way they never imagined. Resisting their feelings becomes impossible as their marriage begins to feel real.

I loved the sound of this blurb right away, though I did have some reluctance about the story after seeing Cole and Ginger’s dynamic in Training the Heart. They have obvious chemistry and tension between them, which made me curious to learn more. I loved their easy banter and the way they both cared in a way they’d never admit, though I didn’t love that Cole was so open about discussing past hookups with Ginger. The opening scene set the tone, and every time I’d start to get pulled into the story, a reference to his playboy ways pulled me right back out. Their connection also relied heavily on physical chemistry, and I think a slower burn would’ve worked better. All in all, it’s not a bad book by any means, but it didn’t win me over in the way I was hoping.

Cole and Ginger were even better than I imagined! I loved the build up to their story sprinkled throughout the earlier books in the series. The close friendship between Cole and Ginger is the perfect foundation for a relationship. I loved that Ginger built a separate relationship with Mabel as her nanny for the summer and seeing them team up against Cole was hilarious and sweet!

5⭐️ for Law Daddy

"Even when life handed me a twist in fate, the greatest gift of my life, I still couldn't let you go," Cole says. "I couldn't let you go, Ginger. And for some fucked-up reason, you never let go either,"

This series just gets better and better, I’ve loved every book but Cole and Ginger were the absolute sweetest. Best friend’s brother and single dad? Yes please!

Cole is the dedicated single dad, he’s hardworking and wants to make the perfect life for his daughter Mabel. Ginger is best friends with CeCe, Cole’s sister. These two have a secret friendship, always there for each other when they need it. When they go to Vegas for Nash and CeCe’s bachelor/bachelorette party, things get a little crazy!

I loved these two so much, Cole is the sweetest man and the best dad ever. The way he cared for his daughter, the way he always showed up for Ginger. The secret friendship these two shared, eating pizza and watching tv. The banter between them, the chemistry and trying to deny their feelings, the pining. Everything was perfect! This is officially my favorite book in the series, it was everything I needed. I laughed, I kicked my feet and cried happy tears, this felt like coming back home to a warm hug. I’m officially obsessed with Cole Ashby!

Thank you Paisley Hope, Random House and NetGalley for the ARC!

Thank you to Dell Romance for providing me an early copy of this ebook. All opinions are my own.

Gah! I loved everything about this one! So many of my favorite tropes, and the tension between these two was just so delicious!

Ginger and Cole have had such a flirty friendship, you just knew it was only a matter of time before the tension had to break, and break it did…in Vegas! 👀 I will always, always eat up a Vegas wedding in my romance books, and it was just the jump start these two needed! 🔥

These two being, in my opinion, pretty much best friends (secretly 🤫) leading up to all of this was another of my favorite things. They knew each other so well, and when they worked up the courage to communicate? 🥹

Alongside the romance, there was also Cole’s daughter who played a big role in the story, and she was just adorable! I loved the relationship that formed between her and Ginger, and when those two started teaming up, I couldn’t help the huge smile that I got on my face!

I just love this little group of people, and those last few chapters were just so beautiful and wholesome, and I am just so happy with their HEA.

And just now checked to make sure we get to go back to Silver Pines Ranch again, and we do! 🎉 And I’m already so excited to get to know those characters! 👀

What this book is giving:
✅ Small Town Romance
✅ Dual POV
✅ Law Daddy
✅ Best Friend’s Older Brother
✅ (Arguably “Best”) Friends to Lovers
✅ Vegas 👀
✅ Single Dad
✅ Nanny for the summer

Cole and Ginger were amazing.

I mean we knew this going in. The flanter these two have had was always fun. The brief moments we got to see it in the prior books just showed that they were going to be a hit.

Both of them had faults and things they were hiding but never from each other. They were he best of friends and only wanted the best for each other. Both thought that that was other people.

Turns out what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there. Sometimes it follows you home. These two always out each other first and Mabel. They only wanted what was best for each other. Only wanted to support each other. I loved how they fought for each other and loved each other hard.
They didn’t let the other one pull away. They held on with both hands and loved hard.

I loved this book and this series. Paisley writes amazing books and can do no wrong here.

Paisley Hope…. the chokehold that you and Silver Pines Ranch have me in!!!! Riding the High is the third book in the Silver Pines Ranch series and it follows Cece’s best friend, Ginger and Cece’s sheriff brother, Cole.

Overall this is a super fun and easy to read story! I like that there’s an actual storyline happening. The romance and smut is good! I really appreciate that the smut and characters are noticeably different from one another in comparison to the other books in the series. (I feel like often times in series like these the books feel like carbon copies of one other).

The tension between Ginger and Cole builds nicely (both in the series and in this book). They’ve known each other for a long time, so I love getting to see all the flashbacks. It really adds to their story. Maybe I’m starting to dig single dad romances??? Because OMG this was so sweet. Cole’s relationship with Mabel melts your heart and Ginger becoming closer with Mabel is equally heartwarming to read.

It reads a little wattpady at times; there are a lot of repetitive phrases and a couple of pet names that don’t really work for me personally, but other than that it’s a really solid read and I’m excited to continue the series!

I think this book is now my favorite in this series, which is hard to say because I have loved each book so much. These characters and this family have become an extension of mine and I will be so sad when this series is over.

Little Mabel just makes my day, every time. I love when authors put sweet funny kids in the mix. They make the perfect vehicles for that bit of super truthful moments that need to happen but wouldn't naturally happen.

Cole Ashby is the towns new sheriff. He's also a single dad and a cowboy. So like, sign me up... Am I right? Ginger is his little sister's best friend and a bit of a wild child. Mix in a Vegas wedding, it's always been you vibes and this secret -for them only- connection and you have a story that sucks you in and keeps you there. I loved every moment of these two.

“Eyes here, baby. I’ve waited years to give in to this. I want all your attention now.”

Here are the reason I would one-click this book:
🐎Vegas Wedding
🐎Friends-to-lovers
🐎Sheriff mmc x congressman’s daughter fmc
🐎Mutual pining
🐎Best Friends Brother
🐎Single dad mmc
🐎Forced Proximity

Thank you so much Paisley Hope, Random House, and Netgalley for the arc.

I absolutely love anything Paisley writes, and this book hit all the right notes.

The tension between Cole and Ginger was palpable from the beginning, and I adored how Ginger interacted with Cole's daughter. The theme of found family was delightful.

As a fan of cowboy romances, I found this one particularly enjoyable. Even though Cole is the town sheriff, the story was woven together just as beautifully as Paisley's other books.

Thank you for the ARC, NetGalley! :)

Cole and Ginger have been close friends for a long time, but have always been attracted to each other. so when they drunkenly get married in Vegas one night, they start to question if friends is all they really want to be. I’ve always liked Ginger, she’s so attentive and supportive of everyone around her and it’s easy to see why Cole feels the way he does about her. Cole has a bit of a reputation for sleeping around which didn’t bode well for me, especially with the way it was portrayed. i’m not the biggest fan of kids, but i love Cole’s daughter Mabel and seeing her grow fond of Ginger was sweet.

i really wanted to like this more than i did, but i ended up feeling underwhelmed. my main issues with this book were: things moved too fast, Cole and Ginger didn’t have the most depth to their characters and a lot of their dynamic/interactions were too lust driven. they do start off as friends before anything sexual happens, but we don’t get enough domestic moments with them in my opinion. i did appreciate that there was no third act breakup though, i just felt like Ginger is so young and it all got glossed over a little too much for me when it came to her just accepting everything Cole had going on. the only “conflict” was with Cole running to be sheriff and the scandal that would be caused if the town found out he got randomly married. i just never really got invested.. this is now my least favorite in the series.

Thank you to Dell for providing me with an arc.

I have absolutely loved the previous books in this series but I couldn't get into this one. I dnfed it like 10% in as I really didn't like the mmc as he was two of my least favorite things an f boy and a cop/sheriff. I definitely plan on reading future books by this author still as I love her writing this just wasn't for me sadly.

This one might have been my favorite in the series. I really liked the chemistry between Cole and Ginger, and the cringy-sex scenes from the previous books were much better in this one.

We finally got Cole and Ginger‘s book.! Secret friends to lovers which has been hinted at in the previous books finally comes to fruition. I’m not gonna lie, was kind of mad at Cole for using Ginger as emotional support while denying his feelings for her. But ultimately, I fell for the slow burn. Their friendship built the foundations of romantic love and a very steamy physical relationship! I think this was a very well done culmination of the series. Historically, my favorite book in a series is always when the long awaited couple comes together. At this point Paisley Hope is one of my go to cowboy romance authors. I’m really into this series and can’t wait for it to continue.

Thank you #netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Paisley does cowboy romances so well! I love how steamy and how much tension there is between Ginger and Cole. I also love a good accidental romance story. Overall a solid book!

I am so in love with this series so far. When I finished Elsie silver I was looking for another cowboy romance that gave me those vibes. This totally did it for me! I cant wait for the other books!!!

Ok I really enjoyed this one! I've read the previous two books of this series and I wasn't sure what to expect going in, because I loved book one, but book two wasn't my favorite. After finishing this one though? I'm happy to say that it may even have an edge over the first book!

I just really liked the fmc Ginger and who doesn't love an amazing single dad like we have here with Cole? I liked that even though this series is based around a ranch and has all the cowboy vibes, Cole chose a different path in life and is the town Sheriff. It was refreshing! I don't normally love the wake up married in Vegas trope, but it was fun here. It didn't take away from the history these two had and that's what I loved most. Ginger and Cole had known each other for so long and were always friends, always there for each other, so it just made sense for something like that to happen. Their relationship was much deeper than anyone knew. After that, you get forced proximity when she moves in as his "nanny" for the summer and that brings all the sweet and spicy moments with it!

I really enjoyed everything about Riding the High and I'm definitely more excited for the rest of the series 🥰

“Because, right now, I’m just riding this high. And fuck, maybe getting her to fall for me is exactly what I’m trying to do.”

Ginger and Cole were the literal embodiment of “it’s always been you”. Ginger has served as a support system and close friend to her best friend’s brother, Cole. But underneath that is a whole lot of pining between them after a kiss one summer. It’s only natural that the weekend they go to Vegas they end up accidentally married, and then everything becomes real.

Law Daddy Cole Ashby…. is down bad for Ginger! This man… I don’t think I’ll ever stop thinking about him. The MOUTH ON HIM, I don’t think I’ll ever recover. He is my latest book boyfriend!!! Ginger was a breath of fresh air as a FMC, I loved how free spirited she was, and how fiercely she cares for those around her. Seeing the two of them finally give in to their feelings was just chefs kiss perfect. They had enough chemistry to burn down the entire state of Kentucky.

Secondary to Cole and Ginger falling in love, is Ginger and Mabel creating a Mother daughter relationship. The way they naturally gravitated to each other, and Ginger just seamlessly stepping into the role of caregiver for Mabel was the sweetest. I also really loved the way they teamed up together and teased Cole LOL

The epilogue might be one of the best epilogues I’ve ever read because it was several years after the story ends, so you really got a good glimpse of what Cole and Ginger got up too, and what life looked like after the book ended.

Somehow this was my first book by Paisley Hope, and I absolutely fell in love with her writing style! I cannot wait to go back and read books one and two in the series, so just an fyi this can def be read as a SA!

Overall, this book was just truly incredible, I didn’t want Ginger and Cole to end, and I will be thinking about their epic love story for a long time! 🥹

Some of my fave quotes:

“If you don’t want to be my one-night stand, then it’s a good thing we’re in Vegas. I dare you to marry me, Ginger, so I can properly fucking worship you.”

“Ginger. When it comes to you, I don’t forget.” I completely unravel as he groans and whispers, “I remember every fucking thing.”

“My heart beats faster just having her beneath me. “Feel this?” I ask her. She nods so I kiss her again. “It’s all for you, Vixen.”

“This ache, this need to be inside her confirms she’s the drug I’m quickly becoming addicted to.”

“I have no idea how this man makes me feel this way. Oh, wait, yes I do. It’s because he’s fucking incredible, and the literal definition of hot-sheriff-daddy-big-dick-energy.”

“Because, over the last week, it’s fucking hit me. Somewhere along the lines of friends to best friends to fake wife, I’ve fallen in love with Ginger Danforth. Deep fucking in love with her.”

“It’s always been you, Ginger,” he mutters into my lips. “And I have no fucking clue what to do about that. Besides maybe keep you.”

“I’m so fucking in love with this woman. In fact, the word love doesn’t even cover it. How can you be only in love with someone who feels like they’ve been a part of you forever?”

“There hasn’t been one day over the last seven years where I’ve woken up and not felt grateful for my decision to play a drunken game of truth or dare with Cole.”
