I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I think it might be competing for my favorite in the series. I always enjoy a good friends to lovers trope but what really hooked me was the Vegas marriage. Cole and Ginger were great together I love the banter I love the little bit of tension the smut was smutting and was so much fun. The only drawback for me in this was the "it's always been you"... it just doesn't work for me when one of the main characters says it but we also know that that character has been a bit of a slut who has slept with more people than they can count. It wasn't enough to make me dislike the book just enough to give me a little bit of ick.

Paisley Hope has quickly made it to my favorite author list with this series. This book was everything I wanted it to be and more. Seeing the tension grow between Cole and and Ginger throughout the series and then bloom into a beautiful relationship. You know I am going to eat up a single dad and accidental marriage every time. Normally I don't love when the MMC is a cop, but Cole might have swayed me (Love you Law Daddy). Their friendship, the tension, the sweet moments with his daughter, everything about this book was perfection. I will continue to read and eat up everything that Paisley writes.
Thank you NetGalley, Paisley Hope, and Dell for the ARC!

Cole and Ginger have had a witty banter back and forth for 2 books and I've been looking forward to seeing them interact more. Seeing their relationship uncovered - a secret friendship stretching over years - is refreshing and relatable. If you were friends with your best friend's older brother that you also had a crush on, would you tell anyone?
When a night in Vegas for a joint bachelor/bachelorette party gets a little out of hand and they wake up with a surprise on their hands in the same bed together, they have to figure out a plan to keep it quiet. So, Ginger moves in for the summer to help Cole take care of Mabel... But being this close together may not be something either one of them can handle. The pure intensity or the chemistry between Cole and Ginger is so strong it leaps off the page. You won't be able to put it down from the moment you turn that first page!
Can Cole and Ginger survive this summer without giving in? And will their secret stay a secret?
You will have to wait and see!

I just want to say thank you for allowing me to read this book early. As soon as I met Ginger and Cole in the first book I had been dying to read their love story. I love that it had the nanny trope but the very different twist of getting married in Vegas. I loved every second of this book and can’t wait for the next one! Also I’m really going to need a family tree for all the children these characters are having at some point.

This would have been 4 stars if it wasn't for the OW at the beginning of the novel. I'm so over the cowboy casanova trope—le sigh. Other than that, Ginger and Cole were HOT. They were my most anticipated couple in the series and definitely my favorites. Something about the best friend's brother trope just hits every time. I also wish the second half hadn’t felt so rushed—I wanted more angst and pining from Cole!

Thank you Random House Publishing for the eARC!

I love everything about Ginger and Cole Ashby. We've seen the tension build with these two since the start of Silver Pines Ranch and this did not disappoint. Their constant banter and back and forth sass made this accidental marriage/secret marriage book perfect.

Seeing the flashbacks of their hidden friendship over the years built their relationship up so well. These characters were so well written, Cole is hardworking and dedicated to taking care of his daughter, and Ginger is unbelievably kind and the fun to Cole's seriousness.

Paisley Hope truly outdid herself with this one. Riding The High may have surpassed Training the Heart as my favorite book in this series. I will now sit impatiently for Freeing The Wild.

*thank you netgalley for this arc*

This steamy and heartfelt romance delivers the perfect mix of small-town charm, sizzling chemistry, and unexpected love. Set in the picturesque Silver Pines Ranch series, the story follows Cole Ashby, a devoted single father and newly appointed interim sheriff, and Ginger Danforth, the rebellious daughter of a Kentucky congressman. What starts as a wild, impulsive Vegas wedding quickly turns into a high-stakes secret that could upend both of their lives.

The novel thrives on its opposites-attract dynamic—Cole is steadfast and duty-bound, while Ginger craves freedom and adventure. Their forced proximity and slow-burn tension make for an electrifying romance, and as their fake marriage arrangement deepens, so do their undeniable feelings. The stakes feel real, not just because of the political and career implications, but because both characters are fighting personal battles that make their connection all the more compelling.

With a blend of humor, passion, and emotional depth, this book offers a delightful escape for romance readers. The small-town setting, endearing side characters, and Cole’s adorable relationship with his daughter add extra layers of warmth to the story. Fans of forced-proximity and marriage-of-convenience tropes will find this one impossible to put down—because what happens in Vegas rarely stays there, especially when true love gets involved.

Rating: 4.25/5
Steam: 3.5/5

Thank you to Random House/Dell and NetGalley for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

This series has been a delightful surprise—I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I have, but here we are! I was especially excited to finally get a book for Cole and Ginger (plus sweet Mabel), and it did not disappoint. Riding the High delivers a fantastic blend of the “waking up in Vegas” trope with a dash of “brother’s best friend,” though I wish the hidden marriage aspect hadn’t dragged on for quite so long—it took away some of the tension that makes that trope so fun.

What really made this book shine for me was the slow-burn friendship and the beautifully layered relationship between Cole, Ginger, and Mabel. I adored how much time Ginger and Mabel spent together—playing hard, gardening, and just genuinely enjoying life. And that waterfall picnic date? Absolute swoon. The emotional depth, humor, and undeniable chemistry between Cole and Ginger just clicked, making their journey so satisfying. I also loved the flashbacks to their younger years—it gave such a rich perspective on their bond. And their baseball rivalry? So cute. And don’t even get me started on that epilogue…pure perfection.

If I had two gripes, it would be Ginger’s dynamic with her family. The resolution there felt a bit rushed, and I would have loved to see more depth in how that played out. And the work + ex drama for Cole....I wish they would have picked one.

This has been such a fun series so far. Glad we finally got the book with Cole and Ginger. I love a good drunk Vegas wedding trope and mix in best friend’s brother in there too. The only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars are the amount of gratuitous sex scenes, but that’s just me.

Thanks as always to NetGalley for the ARC.

Paisley Hope just delivered my favorite book in her Silver Pines series—hands down! Cole and Ginger completely stole my heart, from their impulsive Vegas wedding to the slow-burn friendship that blossomed into something so much more. I was hooked from page one, laughing one moment and tearing up the next.

This book had all the tropes I adore:
💍 Fake marriage (because what happens in Vegas…doesn’t always stay there!)
💙 Best friend’s brother
🍼 Single dad (Cole + Mabel = heart melted)
💛 Friends to lovers
🏡 Found family
☀️ Grumpy/sunshine (Cole = peak broody sheriff with a hidden soft side)

And that waterfall picnic date? Swoon. The emotional depth, the humor, the undeniable chemistry—everything just clicked. And don’t even get me started on the epilogue…pure perfection. If you love heartfelt romance with plenty of swoon-worthy moments, this one is a must-read! 💕

As a cowboy romance fan, I ATE this book up! Fans of Liz Tomforde's Play Along & Elsie Silver's Chestnut Springs series will love this one. I would recommend this to a friend who is looking for a fun upbeat read with a guaranteed HEA. As someone who has read the whole series Riding the High might have to be my favorite so far! I am a fake marriage trope girl forever,

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. Can't wait for more of Silver Pines Ranch!

Riding the High by Paisley Hope is the third book of her Silver Pines series. It’s a friends to lovers, single dad, small town romance. I really enjoyed this one, plus I love the characters from the first two books being involved in this story.

I’ll be honest, friends to lovers is not my favorite trope. But I think this one was really well done. I love the flashbacks to when they were younger to get a better picture of their relationship. Their baseball rivalry was cute. And the nicknames are great, Vixen and Law Daddy. The single dad trope felt like a cherry on top. This one is a great addition to the series.

"Riding the High" is hands down, best book in the Silver Pines series. I do not think Cole and Ginger can ever be topped and I will d!e on this hill. I went into this book blindly, not reading the synopsis and was thrilled to find out it was a single dad/best friends brother/small town trope. Cole's filthy mouth was everything and Ginger HAS to be a relative of Willa Grant (IYKYK) Fantastic book Ms. Paisley Hope! Thank you Random House-Ballantine and Paisley Hope for giving me an early copy to read! #RidingtheHigh #NetGalley

Paisley Hope did it again & made me fall back in love with the Ashby family at Silver Pines Ranch in the 3rd book of the series Riding the High. Paisley writes fun storylines & wholesome characters in her books. I smirk when I say wholesome cause there is also plenty of passion & spice in this book.
Riding the High is based on the middle Ashby brother Cole & his relationship with his friend Ginger, who also happens to be his little sister CeCe's best friend. Cole & Ginger's friendship spans over many years & comes to a point that involves a Vegas wedding as well as a little drama along the way.
Thank you, #NetGalley & Random House Publishing, for the ARC of the #RidingtheHigh. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book, with all thoughts and opinions being my own. If you enjoy a bit of drama, some laugh out loud one-liners, & plenty of passion, then you'll enjoy this amazing story.

I was so happy to receive this ARC! It was such a fun, quick read. I loved being able to read about Ginger and Cole’s story from the beginning to present. I actually thought all the tropes meshed well together and I had a such a good time reading it.

There were a few grammatical errors in the ARC, but it’s an advanced copy and I bet all will be fixed once it releases.

Oh my marriage of convenience heart! Thanks to Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group for letting me read this book early as an ARC. Ginger and Cole were always end game and I think we all knew it while we were along for the ride in the first two books in the Silver Pines Ranch universe. These two are the personification of right people wrong time. Well, the right time is now - finally! I was waiting for this story from day 1. I loved the banter between these two but also the fact that they were each other's ride or die for so long. However, I think the most amazing relationship that watch blossom in this book is between Ginger and Mable; and I really appreciated how Ginger's mom and grandma's were really welcoming of her into their family. Cole quickly entered the lexicon of my book boyfriends very early on in this book! All in all, another great addition to the series and I really think they are getting better and better!

ARC Review*

Cole and Ginger are everything I could’ve wanted.
Secret friends to a drunken secret wedding to being a live-in nanny for Cole’s daughter Mabel. What more could you want?
Mabel and Ginger’s relationship from the beginning made my heart feel so full for her. And from the beginning I just knew in my bones that Cole wanted Ginger.

There are only two words y'all need to know about this book: Law. Daddy.

Honestly, that should tell you everything you need to know about this scorching hot novel from Paisley Hope. 'Riding the High' is the third novel in the Silver Pines Ranch series, but it can also be read as a stand-alone. This book follows the story of single dad, sometimes playboy, Sheriff Cole Ashby, and his best gal pal Ginger Danforth.

When a Vegas bachelor/bachelorette weekend goes awry for two best friends, Cole and Ginger find themselves married after a drunken dare. Cole has recently become Sheriff to their small town of Laurel Creek, and Ginger's father is facing a congressional election - it's not a good time for either of them to come clean about their Vegas indiscretion. As a solution, Cole proposes that Ginger live with him and spend the summer as a nanny to his eight-year-old daughter, Mabel, and when both his probationary period and her father's election are over, they'll quietly get a divorce - their families none the wiser. Things rarely go as planned however, and Cole and Ginger find themselves fighting to keep their marriage, and their growing feelings for each other, under wraps.

Cole and Ginger have been friends for years, and it definitely shows in their familiarity and comfort with each other. I was kicking my feet and squealing at the banter in this book between these two main characters. This book is set in beautiful eastern Kentucky, and I can picture each scene of this book perfectly with Paisley's detailed descriptions. I also love that she included a playlist in the back of the novel for Cole and Ginger - book vibe playlists are a secret love of mine.

Riding the High is a slow burn, friends-to-lovers, secret Vegas wedding joy ride that contains beloved characters from previous books in the Silver Pine Ranch series while focusing on Cole and Ginger's story. While this novel is a slow burn, the spice is WELL worth the wait, and all of the romantic tension had me unable to put this book down. This novel made me an instant fan of Paisley Hope and I was running to find her back catalogue as soon as I finished the last page of this book. Romance readers will love this funny, tender, steamy new novel.

This was a really good friends to lovers story. Especially after all the banter and tension between Cole & Ginger in books 1&2. I ATE THIS ONE UP. Cole is one filthy man. 😮‍💨

Cole & Ginger have known each other since their teenage years and being his little sisters best friend - he’s “tried” to keep his distance. Until a weekend Vegas trip and OOOPS 😏

Cole being a single dad was perfect for me but I do wish his “playboy” behavior wasn’t so BAM. SIGHHHH. Either way, I fucking loved them and i’m curious to know who will be next 👀

Thank you Netgalley, Dell & Paisley Hope for this eArc in exchange for an honest review. 🫶🏼
