I thought this was the first in the series so I have to read the first two before getting to this one. Thank you for the opportunity though.

I have heard so many great things about the author and I was just excited to read this book. The tropes were perfection for me, small town,, single dad... But for me it felt flat for me. It total it was a fun book if you were looking for escape.. this is the right one for you.

I have been waiting what feels like forever for Law Daddy!!! Cole and Ginger had the sweetest story. From their differences in baseball teams to their banter and everything in between I loved them as a couple. Mabel was the sweetest thing and I loved the bond she had with Ginger. Cole is the best dad to her. The family dynamic was the cutest. This may be just a me thing but I wish we could have had a little more focus on Cole’s job. I felt like the book breezed over what made him “law daddy”. While I liked the whole accidental marriage trope I felt like it was resolved kind of quick. There really wasn’t that shock factor I was hoping for from either Gemma or The Danforth’s. Overall I did enjoy this book and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

What a fun ride!!!! This one follows Cole and Ginger (my favorite couple so far) and they didn’t disappoint. I’ve been waiting for their book forever. How perfect it was that I got an early arc of this, I’m so grateful!!

Riding the High follows Cole and Ginger as they navigate an accidental marriage while keeping it under wraps to avoid a small town scandal. Cole is a single dad to Mabel and Ginger is a free, spirited girl who has been in love with her best friends brother for years (and he’s always had eyes for her too).

This was my first accidental marriage (married in Vegas) and honestly? I think I love this trope! My favorite movie is What Happens in Vegas so I’m not surprised.

Riding the High had just about everything: yearning, spice, heartwarming moments, and made me laugh out loud!! Paisley Hope has a way of writing her characters (and spice) in a way that I just love. I’ve really liked each book in this series and can’t wait for next!! Thank you to NetGalley for giving me an early eARC.

📖 Rinding the High by Paisley Hope

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quotes:
" When it comes to Cole Ashby, Im starting to wonder if there's anything I wouldn't do."

" Ginger may be my friend, but I'm pretty sure is quickly becoming my Obsession too."

Well, hats off to you Ms. Paisley Hope because now I'm just "riding the high"... after finishing that book! I am a complete gonner for Ginger Danforth and Cole Ashby! 😍

Ginger Danforth is our FMC. She is sassy, loving, and wild in the best way. Ginger is on summer break after her first year teaching.

Cole Ashby is our MMC. He is a tall glass of water, the best dad, and the town sheriff.

Ginger and Cole grew up together. Ginger is Cole's sister's best friend! They become best buds as the years go by. Now, Cole has a daughter, Mabel, and has to figure out how to entertain her all summer long. Cole decides to have Ginger move in to help with Mabel for the summer.

I'd love to say the story is as simple as that but it's not. To get the full story you'll have to read it yourself!

I absolutely loved this book. Ginger and Cole have the best friendship and really entertaining banter. Don't let me fool you by not saying much about Mabel; she has my heart. She is the star of the show just as much as Cole and Ginger. This book and these characters had wanting to keep reading!

This book is a MUST READ! 🥰😍🫶

If you're a fan of small-town romances with a hefty dose of spice and heart, *Riding the High* delivers. Ginger and Cole's story is a delightful blend of accidental marriage, friends-to-lovers, and single dad tropes, all wrapped up in a cozy, cowboy setting. Their chemistry is palpable, with banter that keeps you grinning and moments that tug at your heartstrings. Ginger's fiery spirit complements Cole's steady demeanor, making their dynamic both entertaining and endearing.

While the plot follows familiar romance beats, it's the characters and their relationships that shine. Cole's bond with his daughter, Mabel, adds depth to his character, and Ginger's interactions with both father and daughter are heartwarming. The story doesn't shy away from steamy scenes, but they feel earned and enhance the emotional connection between the leads.

This book was written for you if:
- You're into small-town settings with a touch of cowboy charm.
- You enjoy the friends-to-lovers and accidental marriage tropes.
- You're looking for a romance that balances humor, heart, and heat.

I can safely say that I have been waiting for this book since these two were introduced in book 1. The way they sassed at each other. They way they interacted. I just KNEW there was something simmering underneath. Let me tell you that Ginger and Cole delivered! I enjoyed learning that these two had a little bit of a secret friendship going on for a while. They had been circling this thing between them for a while. I loved the truth or dare thing- neither of them could not turn down a challenge. I was a little challenged with the lack of details on their night in Vegas together- I get that they wanted to act like all was well but EVERYTHING had changed. I loved reading how both of them were trying to ignore said changes. I loved watching the relationship build between Ginger and Cole's daughter. I liked how opposite these two were- Cole with his preparedness and Ginger with her flying by the seat of her pants. These two balanced each other out. The bedroom chemistry was off the charts- LOVED their scenes together. And how once they crossed that line, Cole was done fighting it. I loved how everyone was supportive of them and how they made each other better- happier, more confident. A little unit of sorts.

Ginger has had her eye on Cole for a minute. Ever since he opened up to her about his struggles they have had this amazing friendship. She hasn't acted on her feelings because she doesn't want to lose that. At the same time she is only human. So when they are in Vegas and lines get crossed- she doesn't regret it but she wants to make sure that all is the same between them. The problem is that it isn't. They are now married. They decide to use this to their advantage while keeping it on the down low. But now Ginger is living with Cole and his daughter. The cover being she is helping for the summer. The problem is that now that she has a taste of Cole (even though she was drunk) she can't stop thinking about MORE. She wants more. She sees that he does too. So they stop fighting it. They give in- just for the summer. They will enjoy each others company in all ways. But the more time they spend together the more this seems real. The more she wants it to be real. So when the end of the summer comes and Cole tries to push her away. He won't tell her why but she knows something is up. Well she isn't going to let him because this is real to her. And she knows it's real for him too.

Cole has a system. It's him and his daughter. And then his family and his job. He has been able to maintain all of it with order and structure. But he has also had Ginger in his life for a while. She means so much to him. The time they spend together means something- so despite him continuing to have thoughts about her that he shouldn't have he never makes a move. What they have is too delicate. But then all of that goes out the window when they get drunk, hook up and get married. Now he is back in reality deciding that this could actually be really good for him as long as they can keep things under wraps. She can move in and help for the summer. Somehow she agrees and now the woman he can't stop thinking about is here under his roof. She is with his daughter. She is making him coffee and hanging out at night. He can't deny there is something between them. The question is do they want to act on it? The answer is emphatically YES. So they do and it's beyond what he has ever experienced. It's meaningful. They put an end date on it for the summer. But in his mind she is his and he is hers. He just has to make sure she feels the same and that their secret marriage doesn't get out before he is ready for it too. He has finally mustered up the courage to lay it out to her when his nemesis tries to mess it up. He throws a wrench in the plan. But he doesn't know how much Ginger means to him or what he is willing to do to make this work.

I so much enjoyed being back in this world and with these characters. I loved the angst between these two while asking myself who was going to make the first move and then the second move. I so enjoy watching when a person becomes rooted in a family to make it a full unit which is exactly what happened here. I loved the cameos from our side characters and how Wade and Nash were messing with Cole about his relationship with Ginger. I loved that everyone on the sidelines was waiting for them to realize what they meant to each other because they knew. I can't recommend this series enough!

ARC Review!!!

Single dad, town sheriff, accidentally married?! Yes please!

Honestly, with every book that comes out in this series I just fall more in love with these characters and their stories! I’ve loved all three books and didn’t know if anyone could top Wade and Ivy, but goodness gracious this book was *chef’s kiss*

@paisleyhope just really knows what she’s doing when she creates these wonderful characters that you can’t help but love and root for!

Daddy Cole is hands down my favorite out of the three men so far in this series. Not only does he love Ginger, but he may be one of the best single dad characters I’ve read! He would do anything for his daughter and their relationship is so sweet and adorable, it almost hurts.

Ginger is also a new favorite character of mine! She is unapologetically herself and never tries to be something she isn’t. She’s fierce, funny, kind, and a real spitfire of a woman!

Cole and Ginger’s story is so well-written and beautifully told. There were moments where I cried and laughed out loud. The way these characters love and care for each other just made me so stinking happy! Oh, and the spice be spicing 😂 Like, Cole knows what’s going on and lord have mercy does it work!

10/10 recommend reading this book!

Thank you NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and Paisley Hope for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have been obsessed with Cole and Ginger from the previous books in this series. They did not disappoint.

Do I love the trips to Lexington/playboy aspect, not so much. Did I drool over Cole anyway? Absolutely.

I love when it’s friends (that almost are enemies) to lovers and there’s mutual pining. Oh and best friends brother. Single dad. Live in nanny. Forced proximity. Secret marriage. It’s honestly an embarrassment of riches when it comes to tropes.

I really enjoy getting back to Silver Pines Ranch and look forward to more with this group!

Review :
I knew that these two were going to be my favorite from the very first time he called her Vixen in Holding the Reins. I love the element of them being secret friends and that we got to see how much they mean to each other in their friendship. These two just go together, period. It’s a story of mutual pining but denying it because of what they mean to you and what it would mean to risk losing them. They both try and have tried for so long to push down their feelings and avoid the depth of what they feel, but at the same time they both were secretly holding on hoping that one day maybe it could just happen. I love that it was an accidental marriage on a truth or dare because it was just so perfectly Ginger and Cole. Their relationship evolved so organically and I loved watching it go from secret best friends to you’re the one the only one and you always have been. I love Ginger and Mable’s relationship too, and Cole might be a (reformed) playboy but he was put on this earth to be that girls daddy. Also you think you’re prepared for the handcuff scene but I am here to tell you that you are NOT 🥵🥵🥵. I was all up in Paisley’s inbox screaming over these too, and I cannot wait for the rest of this series. Paisley has become one of my top favorite authors, and I’ll be so ready to add this to my shelf soon.

OMG OMG OMG! I was beyond excited to dive into the third book of the Silver Pines Ranch series by Paisley Hope, Riding the High. This installment, focusing on Ginger and Cole's backstory and blossoming relationship, did not disappoint. 😍 Thank you NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, Dell and of course the author Paisley Hope for this wonderful eARC to read and review!

From the very first page, I was hooked. Ginger is the wild and carefree, sister’s best friend and is off limits to Cole. Cole is the single dad, town sheriff, playboy and doesn’t do commitment.

Ginger and Cole's chemistry is palpable. The emotional depth and character development in this book are exceptional. Ginger's strength and resilience, paired with Cole's protective nature and vulnerability, make for a dynamic duo that you can't help but root for. The fake marriage trope adds a delightful twist, while the forced proximity and nanny elements keep the tension high and the pages turning.

Overall, Riding the High is a must-read. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. 🌟

Book tropes:
Single dad
Fake dating/marriage
Forced proximity
Nanny

the chemistry between cole and ginger was so disappointing. i was expecting fireworks, that charged energy that makes you wanna scream into a pillow. instead, it felt lukewarm. like they were just going through the motions. i wanted depth, i wanted that spark, but it never really ignited. the whole thing felt kinda surface-level.

look, i'm not saying it's a bad book. it's just... not what i was hoping for. maybe my expectations were too high. maybe i was just in the wrong mood. eiher way, riding the high left me feeling more meh than OMG I need to tell everyone to read this.

I love me a small town romance & I am so excited to have found a new series to dive into!!!

Riding the high (releasing 5.6.25) is the third book in the Silver Pines Ranch series & yall willlll 1000% wanna read about Cole, Ginger & Mabes 🥹

First & foremost I loooooved the small flashback moments we got - I felt they really showed how much Cole cared about Ginger, despite her not being able to fully see it at first. Secondly, the “vixen” nickname .. 🥵

Ginger was such a firecracker & absolutely had no-filter, which we love 🤣 Her relationship with Mabes was one of my favorite aspects of the book; the moment she shared her “roots” with her - I was sobbing.

I also think it was so fun to see Cole hang-up his playboy ways as soon as he realized Ginger had feelings for him; people doubted him, but his love for her trumped everything 😮‍💨

Read if you love ✨
💜 Childhood Friends to Lovers
🐴 Single-Dad
🍓 He’s a cop
⛓️ She handcuffs him
🪴 Forced proximity
🧎🏻‍♀️‍➡️ Secret tattoo? Nah, he brands himself for her

Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing & Paisley Hope for my advanced copy of this book 🫶🏻

Riding the High by Paisley Hope felt as if I was riding the high on my own! This story was so good! It was full of support, love, and friendship. There's just something about small-town romance books that just captivates me.

Living in a small-town where everyone is close to one another, having a big family who are tight, and just the place itself makes me wanna escape the city and live my life in a town where everyone is not in a hurry.

Ginger is a woman who refuses to let her parents dictate her life, especially when it comes to their demands for her to find a husband and have children. She’s fierce, independent, and doesn't back down from a fight. Her love for kids shines through, making her an incredible caregiver and role model. She’s sassy, confident, and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, which makes her character even more lovable. Most importantly, she’s the mother who stepped up when others couldn’t—a true embodiment of strength and resilience.

Then there’s Cole, the ultimate single dad who carries an enormous weight on his shoulders. Despite his many responsibilities, he manages to be an amazing father to Mabel. And can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that he has a “G” tattoo that stands for Ginger? If that’s not peak devotion, I don’t know what is. Plus, the fact that he buys flowers for Mabel’s room every time she’s away just so the house doesn’t feel empty—ugh, my heart. Cole is not only a great dad but also a man who knows how to show love in the most thoughtful and meaningful ways.

The banter between Ginger and Cole? Absolutely top-tier. It keeps the spark in their relationship alive and makes their dynamic so entertaining. The way they challenge and tease each other adds so much depth to their connection. And let’s not forget the Ashby men—they’re the perfect balance of protective and respectful. They know when to step in and defend their women, but they also understand when to give them space and let them handle things on their own. It’s such a refreshing dynamic that adds a lot of charm to the story.

Cole being a total girl dad just melts my heart even more. His bond with Mabel is so pure and wholesome, and you can really feel the love he has for her. Overall, this book was an emotional rollercoaster with the perfect mix of spice, humor, and heartfelt moments. It’s definitely one that sticks with you long after you’ve finished reading.

Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing, and the author for the ARC in exchange of my honest review.

As our Lady Ke$ha would say:

GOOD GOD DAMN YEEEEEEE-HAW!

I am so thankful to have received an ARC from NetGalley because I have been dying to read Cole and Ginger’s story since we first met them in book one. I couldn’t have loved it more!

Is this smutty and spicy in all the best ways? For sure, 10/10. But I expected that. What I was surprised and swoony over, however, was the pining. My Lord the pining! And the tension between them?! Phew. All so well done and charming. I absolutely ate it up.

Cole and Ginger were perfection! I absolutely fell in love with these two and had the best time reading about their love. When she calls him Law Daddy, I die.
Single dad - check
Friends to lovers - check
Secret marriage - check check

Paisley never lets me down with anything she writes and this story was so good. The interactions with Ginger and Maddie pulled on these heartstrings and I might have shed a tear.

I really don’t have anything bad to say because it was simply that good!

The Silver Pines Ranch series just keeps getting better, and Ginger & Cole’s book? OBSESSED.

Their chemistry has been brewing since book one, and this story delivered—with a surprise Vegas wedding, secret feelings, and so much heart. Ginger is a total firecracker and her bond with Cole’s daughter melted me

Paisley Hope is quickly becoming a fave—she nails the banter, spice, and feels every time.

I was drawn to this book because of the best friend's brother trope and impulsive Vegas wedding. Cole and Ginger's relationship dynamic was sweet and eventually very spicy. I liked that they had a strong friendship before anything else. It made their relationship all the more believable. The plot felt a bit slow once they got together because of the many spice scenes. Overall, it was an easy read with not much conflict, which I enjoyed.
