Riding the High definitely feels like another small-town, cowboy-ish romance that I've read before - best friend's brother, single dad, accidental marriage. These two idiots honestly were fooling themselves for believing their marriage was anything but REAL from the very beginning. I loved the dynamic between Ginger, Cole, and Mabel! They are such a sweet little family. I also appreciated that there was no third act breakup. Thanks Netgalley for the e-ARC!

Paisley Hope did it again! Riding the High, book three in the Silver Pines Ranch series did not disappoint. I loved Ginger and Cole’s love story.

Ginger is a teacher while Cole is the newly appointed sheriff. They have been friends in secret for years. Cole is also Ginger’s best friend’s brother. They accidentally get married after a night out in Vegas. Their secret marriage turns into some very real feelings between these two characters.

From the very start, you can tell that Ginger and Cole have amazing chemistry. Their connection felt so real, it was filled with tension and flirty banter. You can tell these two are meant to be!

I also adored Ginger’s relationship with Cole’s daughter Mabel. It’s so sweet.

So if you love a rom-com with a dirty talking sheriff, and a romance that’s just the right amount of spicy, then read this. It’s such a well written small town romance.

Can’t wait for book four, I just love following this Laurel Creek friend group!

Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, and Dell for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Once again we’re back at Silver Pines ranch where all the men are good looking dirty talkers and all the women are full of sass.

I have loved Ginger since the first book in this series. It was great to see a softer, more vulnerable side to her in this book. She still very much holds her own and doesn’t let anyone, including Cole, get anything over on her.

It was nice to also see a softer side of
Cole. There’s never been any doubt that Mabel is always his first priority, but it was great seeing him claim some happiness for himself as well.

Perfection, as usual from Paisley Hope. These two were spicy and swoony and PERFECT! I just was kicking my feet and giggling the entire book.

Listen to me and listen good. If Paisley has no fans, I am dead.

Every single word this woman writes is magic and I will never accept any criticism or other opinions. Keep that shit to yourself because I love this woman. Like truly, does she put crack in her fucking books? Does she take some magic potion and sprinkle it into her work to make me addicted? Whatever she's doing, it's working.

Cole and Ginger were the flirty friends I needed in my life and I will never, EVER get over them. You hear me? They will live with me forever, just like the rest of the Ashby Clan.

The banter, the emotions, the PINING. Oh my fucking god. The fact that everyone else knew how they felt for each other except them???????? One of my favorite fucking tropes ever and Paisley did it perfectly.

"𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙠𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙣, 𝙈𝙧𝙨. 𝘼𝙨𝙝𝙗𝙮."

"𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚, 𝙑𝙞𝙭𝙚𝙣, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚."

Cole is the definition of a MAN. Jesus motherfucking Christ. He can do no wrong. Ever. I'd let him put a million babies in me, too. The way he is with Mabel, the way he loves his family, the way he will do anything and everything for Ginger? My heart is no longer my own because it belongs to Cole Weston Ashby.

His mouth is dirty as fuck and I love that he's a gentleman in public (most of the time, anyway. iykyk 👀) and then when he gets Ginger alone, all bets are off. Fuck, man. I love that so much.

"𝙔𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄 𝙨𝙚𝙚, 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙚."

Ginger is a woman after my own heart. I love her sass so much!!!!! I love that she's always there for her friends and the people she loves, even if she knows she should say no. I love how much she loves Cole and their friendship and her relationship with Mabel had me SOBBING.

"𝙎𝙤 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙄'𝙢 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮, 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙨?"

Speaking of Mabel. I loved her from HTR, adored her even more in TTH, and now that she's front and center in RTH? Ugh, my heart. Paisley and all of my book friends know I am a SUCKER for the single parent trope and when kids fall in love with the MCs and Paisley did it so well in this one I wanted to die.

It's not a Paisley Hope book if I'm not crying AT LEAST 4 times. Cry count for RTH: 7.

There is so much I could say about this book and so many little Easter eggs and callbacks to the previous books and couples. Getting to see Cece and Nash's wedding, Ivy and Wade's baby being born, the epilogues set years into the future... it was all so beautiful and incredible and made me want to go back and reread the whole series all over again.

"𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙗𝙚 𝙢𝙮 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩?"

Thank you so much to Dell Romance for this ARC and to Paisley for writing another family I will love forever 🥹🫶🏼

When I say I love this series I REALLY love this series!! This is book 3 in the Silver Pines series and it’s 🧑🏼‍🍳 😘! Small town, fake marriage, single dad and lifelong friends romance! This book follows Cole’s story. Ginger is his sisters BFF who he’s been in love with for years and same goes for her. They have one drunken night in Vegas and well what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas 😜 spoiler alert they are now married!

Love how Paisley Hope writes. If you’re a fan of Elsie Silver you will love this series!

Riding the High was the perfect spicy romcom! Riding the High is now my new favorite in the series! I loved everything about this book! It was such a fun, endearing, and spicy read! I didn’t want it to end.

Ginger and Cole accidentally get married in Vegas. Instead of immediately divorcing, they stay secretly married to avoid scandals related to Cole becoming county sheriff and Ginger’s dad’s political election. Plus, no one would suspect how close they actually are as they are always bickering in public.

Ginger and Cole were total opposites but they complemented each other so beautifully! Cole is always responsible because of his daughter. He is such a great dad and worries about giving her a stable and loving environment. He is incredibly regimented as opposed to Ginger, who is a bit more of a chaos coordinator. She shakes things up for Cole (and his daughter) in the best ways!

Cole and Ginger are one of those couples who were always meant for each other. Ginger was always Cole’s person. They loved each other so much for so long! There was so much secret pining, which led to some incredibly thick and delicious tension.

Riding the High is the third book in the Silver Pines Ranch series. While each book works as a standalone novel, I think it’s best to read the series in order. Plus, they are all amazing! I can’t wait to see what this author decides to release next! She is quickly becoming a favorite of mine!

5⭐️ I knew seeing the little crumbs of Cole and Ginger in the first two books that they would be my favorite. This book was just incredible!

If you love Heartless by Elsie Silver and Play Along by Liz Tomforde you NEED to read this book! Cole and Ginger have been long time secret friends. Cole is a single did who just got appointed sheriff and Ginger’s a teacher whose dad is running for reelection in congress. They take a group trip to Las Vegas and wake up married after too many drinks. They can’t have an immediate annulment so they agree to stay married for 90 days. During this time Ginger ends up watching Cole’s daughter Mabel.

This book had so much tension I could not stop giggling or blushing and once we got the spice wow was it HOT! I absolutely loved Ginger and Mabel’s relationship in this as well. So much so that I was crying at the end with how sweet it was!

💙 cowboy romance
💜 single dad

Thank you so much to netgalley and dell romance for this arc!!

4.25 stars- I was excited to get this arc and dive back into this world! I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. This was definitely my favorite book of the Silver Pines series. I liked how the relationship between Ginger and Cole started as friends and developed to become more. I loved the banter. I loved Mabel and all the moments with her. I can't wait for more books in this world!

My favorite book in the series so far.

I enjoyed Cole and Ginger’s relationship - the fact that they had so much history and (secret) friendship, their chemistry and fun bickering, and their willingness to sacrifice things for the other’s happiness.

I had a few small complaints throughout which ultimately brought the score down including (1) never understanding why Cole’s sister’s wedding meant they needed to keep everything secret from their family (2) while it can absolutely be read as a stand alone novel, I think a few things should have been better explained to help readers new to the series e.g., the hockey competition would feel very out of place if you hadn’t read the first book (3) I don’t think Cole being portrayed as a man-whore helped the story so felt rather unnecessary and at odds with the ‘it’s always been you’ undercurrent.

Thank you to Paisley Hope, Random House, and NetGalley for providing me with an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Paisley has done it again! Ginger and Cole may have just become my favorite couple in the Silver Pines clan. Best friends brother x friends to lovers, Ginger and Cole have grown up in love with one another and reading how that has played out pulled on my heart strings. I absolutely love Ginger and Mabel’s relationship, they really are the best of friends. Following along Cole’s journey to becoming a sheriff, Ginger learning to stick up for herself, and continuing to get more on the rest of the family are beyond worth reading this book. I can’t wait to read what’s next.

Ginger Danforth is an elementary school teacher and daughter of a Kentucky congressman. She’s care free, loving, and quite the spitfire. Cole Ashby is the newly elected town sheriff, single dad, and Ginger’s best friend’s brother. He’s responsible, organized, and always in control. During a weekend in Vegas with their friends the two wake after a drunken night of fun, married. With both Cole and Ginger’s dad in the spotlight an annulment isn’t an option, so the two agree to stay secretly married until the election is over. What they don’t count on is their fake marriage beginning to feel more real by the day.

Riding the High is a forced proximity, secret friends to lovers, small town romance. Ginger is a fiery FMC who loves hard and you’ll want to have her on your side. Cole is a filthy mouthed sheriff with a heart of gold you’ll no doubt love. Their friendship is precious. The banter and tension between them is palpable and will leave you breathless. I highly recommend this book to all romance lovers, especially fans of single dad, forced proximity, and friends to lovers. Paisley Hope is a romance master and I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the Silver Pines Ranch Series.

Thank you Random House Publishing Group for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

I didn’t think I would like Ginger but I loved this installment in the series! Cole is soooo swoony. I love a good playboy gone good story. Plenty of spice and fun banter. Single parent trope—one of my favorites. This is also a friends to lovers romance done really well. The family and community gives you all the warm hug feelings. Really hope there’s more in this series. Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC

Silver Pines Ranch #3

Tropes:
Single Dad
Best Friend’s Brother
(Secret) Friends to Lovers
Accidental Marriage

We’ve been reading about Cole and Ginger, watching them trade barbs and flirting, for two whole books. And now, it is their time in the sun. I was kicking my feet and giggling the whole time I read this.

During a drunken night in Vegas celebrating CeCe and Nash’s upcoming wedding, Cole and Ginger truth and dare each other all the way to the alter.

With Cole just having become the town Sheriff, and Ginger’s dad’s run for public office, neither wants to bring a scandal to the town with news of their marriage and divorce. So they make a pact to stay secretly married for 90 days and to quietly get divorced later. Oh, and Cole also needs someone to watch his daughter Mabel for the summer, so Ginger moves in to help him out. Because that’s what friends are for, right?

I absolutely LOVED reading about these two. They are so hot together. Like, elite level chemistry.

I enjoyed the relationship between Ginger and Mabel. Ginger is up front and clear that Cole and Mabel are a package deal and Ginger fits so well into their lives.

Don’t even get me started on that epilogue! It was amazing!

I never want Paisley Hope to stop writing about these characters.

Having read the other 2 books in the Silver Pine series, I knew there was a high chance that I would enjoy this book, but I was not prepared for just how much I would absolutely love it. Seriously, this was the type of book that made me made angry that I do basic human functions such as eating because it meant I had to stop reading. I was so invested in Ginger and Coles story. The scene during the autumn festival, especially what Mable said to Ginger, made me cry. I am so happy this is one case that what happens in Vegas, doesn't stay in Vegas. Give me more Ashby's please!

Overall I did enjoy this book, the chemistry, steam and romance was really good and i did like the single father trope in this. I liked how the mc’s friendship was at first and I loved the small town, found family aspect.

I did not like the sheriff and man in uniform plot. I typically avoid books with it but I didn’t know going in. This had the friends to lovers trope which I think worked for the most part but she did a lot of supporting in the friendship. I loved the single dad plot, the mini nanny plot for the fmc and all the family time together. This is also an accidental Vegas marriage book and I liked how they navigated it. The smut was pretty good ugh they had so much tension and smutty moments.

My little complaint is that I do not like when the “it’s always been you” trope is used for the mmc when he’s a slut that has slept around and let the fmc know everytime. Thats just a me thing though it was a good read. Thanks to Dell for this arc for an honest review.

Riding the High
Release Date: May 6, 2025

Thank you for the ARC of this book

Riding the High is book three in the Silver Pines Ranch series by Paisley Hope. This book follows Ginger and Cole (and Mabel).

This book was my favorite of the series so far. Ginger and Cole’s relationship developed so naturally because they had such a solid friendship. The spice was spicing in this book. Holy shit 🥵

Mabel was so cute. I loved when Mabel and Ginger teamed up on Cole. It was so clear that these three were meant to be a family. I also loved all the Ashby family time we got! It was fun to see the characters from previous books!

Thank you again for the E-ARC 🎉
