Paisley Hope just delivered my favorite book in her Silver Pines series—hands down! Cole and Ginger completely stole my heart, from their impulsive Vegas wedding to the slow-burn friendship that blossomed into something so much more. I was hooked from page one, laughing one moment and tearing up the next.

This book had all the tropes I adore:
💍 Fake marriage (because what happens in Vegas…doesn’t always stay there!)
💙 Best friend’s brother
🍼 Single dad (Cole + Mabel = heart melted)
💛 Friends to lovers
🏡 Found family
☀️ Grumpy/sunshine (Cole = peak broody sheriff with a hidden soft side)

And that waterfall picnic date? Swoon. The emotional depth, the humor, the undeniable chemistry—everything just clicked. And don’t even get me started on the epilogue…pure perfection. If you love heartfelt romance with plenty of swoon-worthy moments, this one is a must-read! 💕

As a cowboy romance fan, I ATE this book up! Fans of Liz Tomforde's Play Along & Elsie Silver's Chestnut Springs series will love this one. I would recommend this to a friend who is looking for a fun upbeat read with a guaranteed HEA. As someone who has read the whole series Riding the High might have to be my favorite so far! I am a fake marriage trope girl forever,

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. Can't wait for more of Silver Pines Ranch!

Riding the High by Paisley Hope is the third book of her Silver Pines series. It’s a friends to lovers, single dad, small town romance. I really enjoyed this one, plus I love the characters from the first two books being involved in this story.

I’ll be honest, friends to lovers is not my favorite trope. But I think this one was really well done. I love the flashbacks to when they were younger to get a better picture of their relationship. Their baseball rivalry was cute. And the nicknames are great, Vixen and Law Daddy. The single dad trope felt like a cherry on top. This one is a great addition to the series.

"Riding the High" is hands down, best book in the Silver Pines series. I do not think Cole and Ginger can ever be topped and I will d!e on this hill. I went into this book blindly, not reading the synopsis and was thrilled to find out it was a single dad/best friends brother/small town trope. Cole's filthy mouth was everything and Ginger HAS to be a relative of Willa Grant (IYKYK) Fantastic book Ms. Paisley Hope! Thank you Random House-Ballantine and Paisley Hope for giving me an early copy to read! #RidingtheHigh #NetGalley

Paisley Hope did it again & made me fall back in love with the Ashby family at Silver Pines Ranch in the 3rd book of the series Riding the High. Paisley writes fun storylines & wholesome characters in her books. I smirk when I say wholesome cause there is also plenty of passion & spice in this book.
Riding the High is based on the middle Ashby brother Cole & his relationship with his friend Ginger, who also happens to be his little sister CeCe's best friend. Cole & Ginger's friendship spans over many years & comes to a point that involves a Vegas wedding as well as a little drama along the way.
Thank you, #NetGalley & Random House Publishing, for the ARC of the #RidingtheHigh. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book, with all thoughts and opinions being my own. If you enjoy a bit of drama, some laugh out loud one-liners, & plenty of passion, then you'll enjoy this amazing story.

I was so happy to receive this ARC! It was such a fun, quick read. I loved being able to read about Ginger and Cole’s story from the beginning to present. I actually thought all the tropes meshed well together and I had a such a good time reading it.

There were a few grammatical errors in the ARC, but it’s an advanced copy and I bet all will be fixed once it releases.

Oh my marriage of convenience heart! Thanks to Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group for letting me read this book early as an ARC. Ginger and Cole were always end game and I think we all knew it while we were along for the ride in the first two books in the Silver Pines Ranch universe. These two are the personification of right people wrong time. Well, the right time is now - finally! I was waiting for this story from day 1. I loved the banter between these two but also the fact that they were each other's ride or die for so long. However, I think the most amazing relationship that watch blossom in this book is between Ginger and Mable; and I really appreciated how Ginger's mom and grandma's were really welcoming of her into their family. Cole quickly entered the lexicon of my book boyfriends very early on in this book! All in all, another great addition to the series and I really think they are getting better and better!

ARC Review*

Cole and Ginger are everything I could’ve wanted.
Secret friends to a drunken secret wedding to being a live-in nanny for Cole’s daughter Mabel. What more could you want?
Mabel and Ginger’s relationship from the beginning made my heart feel so full for her. And from the beginning I just knew in my bones that Cole wanted Ginger.

There are only two words y'all need to know about this book: Law. Daddy.

Honestly, that should tell you everything you need to know about this scorching hot novel from Paisley Hope. 'Riding the High' is the third novel in the Silver Pines Ranch series, but it can also be read as a stand-alone. This book follows the story of single dad, sometimes playboy, Sheriff Cole Ashby, and his best gal pal Ginger Danforth.

When a Vegas bachelor/bachelorette weekend goes awry for two best friends, Cole and Ginger find themselves married after a drunken dare. Cole has recently become Sheriff to their small town of Laurel Creek, and Ginger's father is facing a congressional election - it's not a good time for either of them to come clean about their Vegas indiscretion. As a solution, Cole proposes that Ginger live with him and spend the summer as a nanny to his eight-year-old daughter, Mabel, and when both his probationary period and her father's election are over, they'll quietly get a divorce - their families none the wiser. Things rarely go as planned however, and Cole and Ginger find themselves fighting to keep their marriage, and their growing feelings for each other, under wraps.

Cole and Ginger have been friends for years, and it definitely shows in their familiarity and comfort with each other. I was kicking my feet and squealing at the banter in this book between these two main characters. This book is set in beautiful eastern Kentucky, and I can picture each scene of this book perfectly with Paisley's detailed descriptions. I also love that she included a playlist in the back of the novel for Cole and Ginger - book vibe playlists are a secret love of mine.

Riding the High is a slow burn, friends-to-lovers, secret Vegas wedding joy ride that contains beloved characters from previous books in the Silver Pine Ranch series while focusing on Cole and Ginger's story. While this novel is a slow burn, the spice is WELL worth the wait, and all of the romantic tension had me unable to put this book down. This novel made me an instant fan of Paisley Hope and I was running to find her back catalogue as soon as I finished the last page of this book. Romance readers will love this funny, tender, steamy new novel.

This was a really good friends to lovers story. Especially after all the banter and tension between Cole & Ginger in books 1&2. I ATE THIS ONE UP. Cole is one filthy man. 😮‍💨

Cole & Ginger have known each other since their teenage years and being his little sisters best friend - he’s “tried” to keep his distance. Until a weekend Vegas trip and OOOPS 😏

Cole being a single dad was perfect for me but I do wish his “playboy” behavior wasn’t so BAM. SIGHHHH. Either way, I fucking loved them and i’m curious to know who will be next 👀

Thank you Netgalley, Dell & Paisley Hope for this eArc in exchange for an honest review. 🫶🏼

3.5⭐️ I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The story, the found family, and family aspect were so sweet and fun to read about. The writing was super easy to read and made you want to keep reading. This book deals with a relationship that has a lot of spice which just isn’t my preference. I skim/skip spice but was still able to connect to the story and characters. I adored the relationship between Mabel (Cole’s daughter) and Ginger!! The ending was so cute and I loved the epilogue!!

I feel like we’ve been waiting for this to happen for what feels like years!!! Cole and Ginger’s banter has been building since Holding the Reins! I just recently finished Training the Heart so when I received my first Arc from Net Galley literally days later I was so ecstatic!!

I absolutely fell for Cole and Ginger. I swear Paisley can do no wrong in my eyes. Her spice is TOP TIER and her stories are just as good. Getting some glimpses into younger Cole and Ginger minds was the perfect touch we needed to truly understand what’s going on in their heads.

Cole aka Law Daddy is everything you need in a single dad. Loves his daughter more than life itself. And no matter what has ALWAYS been there for Ginger. Bestfriends to Lovers..years of masking feelings. Little sisters bestfriend. This story had me giggling. Crying. Gasping.

Ginger aka Vixen is a strong sassy woman…with the purest heart who forms such an amazing bond with Mabel while moving into the Ashby residence to help as well as try and get through a little mishap in Vegas 😉

Ladies. We all know how much a “good girl”
Does for us…but I found Ginger spittin out Good boys with a pair of handcuffs did it for me.

Thank you Net Galley and ofcourse PAISLEY!!! For the chance to read the ARC.

I was so luck enough to receive and Arc of Riding the high! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again if Paisley Hope writes it I’m gonna read it. She is an auto buy for me. I was laughing and kicking my feet the whole time 😂

I’ve loved every single book of the silver pines series and this one did not disappoint. I was itching for Cole and Ginger’s story because I just knew it would be a good one! You’ll find best friends brother, secret friends to lovers (featuring a secret and accidental marriage too), single dad, and the spice is just perfect. Seeing how they always rely on one another in any situation and both secretly pining over each other 😭

I loved watching the entire dynamic of not only Cole and Ginger, but also her with Mabel (Cole’s little girl), and then all three of them. Seeing how they navigate the situation they’re in, and watching Mabel and Ginger’s bond of step mom and daughter flourish and grow is just amazing. 🖤

Thank you for gifting me an advanced copy!

I loved Ginger and Cole's chemistry. The banter and the quirky sayings they have between each other. I really enjoyed the story. The spice was spicy. There's just something about a single dad that does me in and throw in a best friend's brother...oooooof. I need a Cole Ashby in my life. This was my favorite Silver Pines st0ry so far. I'm hoping there will be more. I enjoy Paisley Hope's writing style.

This was a cute read. I am liking this series a lot and feel privileged to be able to ARC them. Small town sheriff and sister’s best friend. Always drawn to each other. They even started a friendship after Cece (sister) left town. Cole has a daughter named Mabel and an ex wife who is not a good mother. Cole realizes he needs some help during the summer. It worked out wonderfully that Ginger is available to help. This sets up more tension between them. Everyone around them can see their chemistry as well. It doesn’t take long ans they no longer can resist each other. This series is fun and perfect for a refresher.

Thank you Net galley and Random House for the ARC!

This book was just what I needed to kick off some spring/summer reading. I’m a sucker for a single dad cowboy romance, and pair that with a strong, wild, and independent FMC and I’m sold. 🥹 I’m always amazed at how many different tropes Paisley can sneak into a book, and in Riding the High they all meshed so well. Now I’m ready for the next 😈

Thanks netgalley for the ARC!

WOW. That pretty much sums up exactly how I feel about this book.

I had the honor of receiving an ARC of Training The Heart, and while reading I thought “there is no way any book in this series will ever top this book”. BOY WAS I WRONG.

Ginger and Cole were absolutely everything I needed and more. I have always been a huge fan of the single dad x nanny trope, and this book took such a unique and fun angle on this trope! Plus an accidental Vegas wedding? Freaking SOLD. The Mabel x Ginger x Cole team will forever be a favorite and I will never stop thinking about this book.

I want to start with a huge thank you to @netgalley & @dellromance for the ARC for Riding the High, third installment of the Silver Pines Ranch series! I have been very fortunate to be on Paisleys teams before and read this series early, and Cole & Ginger’s story….everything I could have asked for🤭

These two are secret friends, who have always danced around their own feelings and when they get pushed together unexpectedly? Chemistry, banter, all the deep emotions and heat (😮‍💨🔥) come out swinging. Their story was deeply intwined with one another, emotions that’s were so relatable every reader will see themselves in either MC and the continued found family that shows up when things are perfectly messy.

Cole, Law Daddy Cole, the sweetest and most protective guy who loves his girls with everything he has, even when it’s messy and imperfect. And Ginger, the perfect carefree and loving addition to this newfound family. These two will have you in all your feels, crush you into a million pieces but the end is going to have you giggling & kicking your feet!

Paisley Hope’s Riding the High delivers a steamy, charming romance with a delightful mix of humor, tension, and heart. This third installment in the Silver Pines Ranch series explores the unlikely marriage of Cole Ashby, a newly appointed sheriff, and Ginger Danforth, the daughter of a powerful Kentucky congressman. Their impulsive Las Vegas wedding kicks off a story that is both fun and full of surprises.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Cole and Ginger. Their relationship starts off as a seemingly ridiculous secret, but as they spend more time together, their connection deepens in a way that feels both natural and irresistible. Cole, as a single dad with a strong sense of duty, is a wonderful, grounded character, while Ginger’s desire for freedom adds a nice contrast and makes her journey of self-discovery all the more engaging.

The writing is witty and fast-paced, with plenty of steamy moments and heartfelt emotions. The setting of Silver Pines Ranch continues to shine, offering a perfect backdrop for this romance to bloom. The tension between duty and desire adds an extra layer to the plot, keeping things interesting as Cole and Ginger navigate their complicated situation.

While the premise of a secret marriage might feel a bit cliché, Paisley Hope does a great job of making it fresh and fun, especially as the stakes continue to rise for both characters. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that I felt like the ending could’ve been a bit more fleshed out, with a bit more resolution to some of the secondary storylines.

Overall, Riding the High is a sizzling romance that will have you hooked from the first page. Fans of the series will not be disappointed, and new readers will find themselves eager to catch up on the rest of the books. If you’re looking for a romantic escape with great characters, hot chemistry, and a story that tugs at the heartstrings, this one’s definitely worth the read!
